Yay. Last night was Prom. Didn't get asked, didn't go. Glad the stupid thing is out of the way. Now I just have to listen to how "awesome" or "amazing" it was for the remainder of the school year. Go me.

@briseis Aw, it's okay 😸 We don't have prom in England, and I probably won't get asked anyway, so yeah. And it might be "awesome" or "amazing" for them, but what did you do last night? If you went to the Prom, you wouldn't have done all that last night 😉

But honestly, Prom is no big deal, it's just a dance party and you can do loads of them.

Prom is a big deal. People try to downplay it, but my school made a huge deal out of it, and people will make a huge deal out of it for weeks after the event, like it was the presidential election or something as big as that. I wish I could just skip the next three weeks. I hate hearing privileged people harping about how amazing it was to have a date and how amazing their dresses and shoes and hair were. Ugh. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Don't worry, I'm not going to my prom either. People who don't talk to me keep asking me why as if they really care and as if they're really shocked. I just don't want to go. *shrug*
