A minor suggestion...

When we are over the character limit in a post, it'd be nice if we know by how much.

I know some sites let you know how much, and I find it frustrating when I'm trying to post a roleplay response, or just even a long topic.

It's frustrating trying to figure out where to delete.

It's just a small thing, but I'm sure I'm not the only person bothered by this. (I hope not at least, otherwise I'll just feel whiny)

Or at the very least, don't make my post disappear. I've lost my long post some many times. If it was still there on the enxt page, that would be fine. But it just disappears.

I just copy and paste the post into a word processor. Those things have built-in character counters. ^^ But it would be kind of nice to have one on the forums.

I use a personal conversation; those have counters 😊

This is a great idea.
It would also be good if we could post again after ourselves.
Meaning having two posts in a row.
But you can't do that.

Having a counter on the reply box would be a nice addition. I like this idea. 😊

@shelby We used to be able to double post but the function was removed because of the large spam potential it had and after it was abused for that very purpose.

Yeah I know.
But when you're posting a long post that then gets cut off but you still need all that information it causes issues.
Lol.

If it is in place, it causes issues, if it's not, it still does.

That would be even better! If we could see how many characters we were at like when we PM people!

If it told me when I was approaching 1500, it'd make things simple.
