Dog Fights

For years, people have been capturing dogs and any wild canines and putting them in cages. They send them out into a sand pit to fight to the death. However, rumor has broken from the Pit Dog, the highest ranking dog, that there will be an escape soon. For now, every dog must fend for their lives in the sand pit.

The illegal battle has begun.

Axel sat in his cage, growling at any humans who passed by. Smaller dogs looked up at him in fear, but he merely looked down upon them, not hostile in the least.

Minnies cage was right next to Axel's she wimpered at the thoughts of all the dogs she killed...But they all tryed to kill her too right?

A female black lab sat in her wire cage strategizing. She had no true name but many called her either Killer or Dark. She preceded Bear because when she was in the arena her structure made her look like a small bear. She glanced at Axel and nodded.

Axel nodded back at the dog he called Dark. He nodded to Minnie as well, scenting the fear scent coming from her. Humans came in, and, grabbing Axel with cold hands, walked through the doors.

Bear stared after Axel but didn't wish him luck. He didn't need it since he was the best fighter. She turned to Minnie and said, "So who is Axel's unlucky opponent tonight?"

Axel was set loose in the sand pit. He kicked sand up flying into the air as he tackled the dog who was his opponent. "I'll make it quick," he murmured as he bashed to dog's skull against the wall. It was a quick fight, and all of the bets were placed on Axel. He stared at the broken body of a Yorkshire Terrier and immediately looked away. He was a murderer. 32 times over.

Bear was pulled into an arena. She looked across the arena and cursed as she saw that it was a Great Dane. Why were her opponents always so big it irked her. It made her feel like they wanted to kill her. She got into a ready position.

Axel silently hoped that Bear would get out alive, and then he started barking at the humans who were kicking the small dogs around. "They're defenseless, can't you see?" he snarled, though he knew they couldn't understand him.

Claw anxiously sat in her cage. Though she was tough outside, she was nervous all over. Of course. She didn't show it. She looked over at Axel, the best of the best, scolding some humans kicking some dogs. She had to agree, it was cruel. She joined his angry barks.

Leona was lying in a cramped cage in a cramped room full of dogs. All wore the scars of the ring. One, the legendary Bane, had both his eyes ripped out. Though, his teeth were famous for his death move; Hell Dagger. She shuddered. A sly looking pitbull, right next to her tried to catch her eye. She turned away, growling softly. She knew the rules. She knew the big one. Kill or be killed.

The Great Dane jumped at Bear. Bear casually moved to the side causing the dog to miss. This time the Great Dane jumped at her and she laid down on her back and lifted her feet into the air. She caught the Great Dane in the stomach and landed on top of him. Bear bit him in the neck and he died. Bear was taken back to the room. She saw what Axel was looking at and bit the man's leg he yelled and hit her. She just growled and they threw her back into her cage.

Axel nodded his thanks to Claw and Bear, but couldn't help thrashing about his cage. He was trying to get the humans to notice him and do something. He was upset because the small dogs obviously had no chance against big dogs, and for the last three fights he had to kill toy dogs. He barked and barked until they kicked his cage a few times to hurt him.

Minnie watched as a man with a choke coller came closer to her cage. He opened her door and dragged her out. And into the arena. She watched as her oponent. A small rottwiler puppy. Came forword. It seemed scared of her but it was killed or be killed right?She waited for the announcer to speak.

Bear got the blood out of her mouth. It was a mixture of human and dog and it was frankly disgusting. She looked at Axel and said, "Axel calm down." Her voice was steady and calm, "We will find a way to stop from having to fight toy dogs." She said to him through her cage.
