Maturity.
What is it, really?
Is it being old, and wise, having many years of wisdom under your belt?
Is it being well-written and educated?
Is it refraining from the childish accepts of life?
Is it being responsible, taking on the harsh responsibilities the world has to offer, even at a young age?
Is it the regular, textbook, Wikipedia description?

Really, what IS it?

Maturity might be all of the things above, but maybe it's something else.
In my own opinion, the definition is simple:
"Knowing when to stand, and when to bend over."
Knowing when to hold your tounge, if the comment will hurt someone else. It's the knowledge and self-control to not hurt people, emotionally and physically.
Knowing how to resolve your problems without stooping to the levels of verbal or psychical violence.
Being kind in general. Even to those who are mean to you.
But also, at the same time, knowing when to stand up for what you think is right, and, more importantly, for what IS right. But to be able to still do this in a non-violent manner...

So, I guess this is just me trying to convey what's in my mind to you all. 😊 I'd rather talk to y'all about the deeper meaning of life's wonders than school. X3
So, for those deeper-thinking Eggcaver's, what is maturity to you? 😊
I would like to know, and would be happy to listen. 😊

Easy: maturity is the opposite of me. ;P

Okay, maybe I'm not a deep-thinking Eggcaver. xD

Maturity is something rare that few ever truest achieve. It is to hard to describe but if you ever reach true maturity then you have done a very rare thing because do people really ever mature? Nobody knows but there must be some people with maturity or it wouldn't be a real thing.

Maturity can be complicated. One may look mature, but it doesn't mean that their state of mind is.

These days, with all of the violence, stereotypical and abusive influence, it is nearly impossible to be mature. Many people, only a million or so, can be truely mature, although it varies on your opinion.

This question is just pretty much asking 'Is anyone normal?'. It depends on one's opinion and everyone has unique thoughts of what one should be. Therefore, the real anwser cannot be revealed, as it is impossible with all of the different opinions.

I'm not so sure myself.
All I know is, my sisters and one of my parents call me very mature.
Hmm.
I think of myself a "mature" person. 😊
(Maybe not a VERY mature person, but mature in my mind. Though I do lose it sometimes.)

I mean, who says who have to be a total stick-in-mud to be mature? X3 I might be crazy hyper sometimes, but I do believe to be a mature person, not to be boosting or sound conceited, or anything, but it's what I really think of myself.

Hmm.
I don't know.

For one thing is sure: When adults fight and act like they're two in front of their kids or in a public place, that's the opposite of mature. That's childish. And they should know better.
(I add this for I've been thinking about this lately, since I know some people with childish parents.)
