@cupcake-neko Read some of "The Hunt". The writing is pretty good, but it seems to borrow a lot from the Hunger Games such as the 'mutts' (well, mutts), 'compounds' (districts) and, well, the Hunt (especially being chosen and having people able to volunteer).

Also, I would suggest against a dream sequence beginning, it's jarring and can annoy the reader.

Other than that, I don't have anything to say. It's quite good so far ^^
