An uncomfortable feeling of being watched made Sylvia wake up. Again, out of instinct, she pulled out her knives and slashed at the walls. They merely scraped off the surface and clattered to the ground. Sylvia made no attempt to pick them up but she did look up to see Natasha.

Sylvia looked at the food. There was a mushy substance in a bowl and a glass filled with water. "What is that mushy - looking liquid?", she asked curiously. XD

Sylvia stared at the earth food. It looked interesting enough and Sylvia was a bit hungry. She picked it up and ate a tiny spoonful. It tasted weird but oddly familiar. Putting the bowl down, she picked up the loaf of bread besides the water. After she drank the water, she walked to the other side of the room and sat down while occasionally ripping small pieces off the bread and eating it. "This earth food tastes weird."

When Sylvia finished her food, she started feeling a bit groggy. "What did you put in the food?", she said slowly. "Is that how all human food tastes like?"

Clara opened her mouth and then closed it, like a fish. At this point, each disjointed though that ran through her head came out her mouth. "Demigod? Thor--like Norse mythology? What--I mean--" She stood for a moment, furrowing her brow and giving Joseph an entirely disbelieving look. "So I live next to . . . Loki, the Norse god of trickery?" She wasn't the biggest fan of mythology, but various history classics had taught her the basics. She could vaguely recall a story involving Loki cutting a certain goddess' hair, and Thor having control of lightning, but beyond that she was in the dark. "Are you a demigod too?" she asked suddenly, eyes drawn back to the bow in his hand. At this point, it seemed a reasonable explanation.

Joseph rolled his eyes at all the questions but said, "Yes you live next to a Norse god. He is the Norse god of trickery as you said, he has two daughters, one good one and the other isn't good." He laughed when she asked him if he was a demigod, "No, I am a normal 16 year old boy that just happens to have a highly dangerous weapon."

Sylvia slammed her hand on the glass when she heard what Natasha said. It was a late reaction, because she did it 2 minutes after she was told. Her thoughts were feeling sluggish and she glared up at the women on the other side. "Go away", she managed to say.

Dimly, Clara nodded, trying to process the great volume of information. Rather than trusting what she knew and disregarding the boy's words as some grand joke, the young lady didn't question it. "Ah . . . huh. Well, trickery and evil are two different things," she attempted meekly, stalling for something else to say. "Do you want to come in? I was just about to make lunch." If indeed she was living next to some kind of god, it would probably be best to get enough information to avoid getting . . . what was the past tense of smite? She shook her head, clearing that thought away.

@misty Love yours! The thing with the watermelon was golden. X3 Well, Sylvia loosed some creatures into town (three chitauri I think) which Hulk/Banner smashed up quite effectively. Then they imprisoned Sylvia within a S.H.I.E.L.D base. They just gave her some drugged food and Black Widow is about to start interrogating her. Joseph and Clara just finished talking and I think that's all since you left. ^^

"Okay then," Clara replied brightly, as she wondered who Banner was and whether she was supposed to know this already. "Late to--y'know, nevermind." She watched the back of his head as he began walking away, shifting her heels against the pavement. "If you're ever in danger or something, my doors are open," she offered, slightly concerned for the safety of the boy who carried a bow and arrows in casual circumstances and held audiences with gods and demigods and someone who was green.

With nothing left to do but return home and continue filling out job applications, she slowly turned to examine Loki's home. The lawn was overgrown, and one of the front windows was broken--she couldn't imagine he or anyone else spent much time there. She wondered whether she was able to do anything, for the completely selfish reason that his house made her street look bad (and for the equally selfish reason of curiosity.) Slowly, she took one step toward her house, and then looked over her shoulder again.
