Kiara moved closer to the fire to get a better shot. She could feel the heat of it burning her face like sunburn.

Joseph began to look through a quiver of arrows that he had brought in case of a fight. He sifted through the arrows and said to himself, "Exploding arrow.....shock arrow......regular arrow...." He looked at Kiara, "Don't have any water arrows so what else can I do?"

Kyle kicked down the burning door and stepped inside. "Alright, people." he yelled. "If you don't hurry the hell up and get out of here in the next 5 minutes, I'm gonna beat you all with this pole." he continued. "But, If you need help, stay still and don't move."

Kiara smiled.

"That's easy."

She formed ice arrows and sent them towards him.

"They'll stay as ice until they hit the fire. I used to do this when I was into archery."

@bunnyshadow So Kiara could know him that way since she's an ex-criminal?

Joseph quickly began to shoot the arrows into the fire.

Hulk came running down the steps with four dazed people slung over his shoulder. He set them down outside and suddenly transformed back into Banner. "How many more people are inside?" He asked, clutching his head since it had a massive headache from all the smoke the Hulk had breathed in.

Kiara looked at him, concerned.

"I'll run in and check. I'll create a water shield so I won't be burnt."

-I'll have five minutes, maybe ten.- she thought.

She put up the shield and ran inside. Everyone on the first floor was being ushered out violently by new guy. Move on. Second floor, nothing. Third floor ditto.

Last floor... she thought, beginning to feel the heat as the shield continued to evaporate. She could hear movement and crying... a child?

Kyle set his pole on the ground when he was done. Then, he threw it over his shoulder at the building. "What now?" he asked.

Joseph finished firing the arrows and he looked at Kyle, "We wait for Kiara." He said simply and he stood and waited.

Kiara ran towards the crying. She could feel it really burning now.

"Mama..." she heard "Mama, wake up!!!"

So there were two? She opened the door through which she heard the young boy. He was kneeling beside his unconscious mother. She lowered her shield and used it to cover the other two instead. Immediately, she choked on the smoke in the air. She had no time...

She flung the mother over her shoulder (good thing she was a small woman) and grabbed the kid by the hand. The kid seemed confused at the water that was covering his skin, but didn't question following her out into the hallway and down the stairs.

The heat was unbearable now. It was as if her skin was melting...

Sylvia narrowed her eyes as she turned towards the building that she had set aflame. Her eyes flashed dangerously, and she smirked to herself, despite being held back by her overdose of alcohol. With a quick word or two under her breath, the building began to collapse, and the flames burnt higher than before.

Kiara heard the roof above her creak.

"No no no no no no no!!!!!" she yelled desperately. She chased the kid the rest of the way out of the building and set the woman down near the two boys. She replenished her supply of water and went back in.

Maybe she was crazy, but she figured that if the building collapsed, nearby buildings might catch fire also. She tried to find the source of the building's collapse, but found nothing. It was as if the buiding was being crushed...

...from the outside...

Sylvia...

She ran towards the exit, realizing this.

The roof began to collapse. She put up a shield of water, hoping it would hold.

Joseph and Banner stepped back as the building began to collapse. Joseph sighed, "She's dead." He said and then looked at Kyle, "So...."

Kiara could feel the weight of the burning wood on her back. The water shield was at least blocking the heat.

"Dr. Banner?" she choked. "Joseph?"

She coughed hard.

Banner looked around, "What can we do to help her?" He tried to Hulk up and he managed to do so.

She looked down at her leg. It was crushed under one of the heavier beams. Not broken. Crushed.

She almost fainted at the sight of it. She forced herself to look away. She tried to cover her face with her sleeve, but it wasn't doing her any good.

"Dr... Banner..." she called out again between coughs. "Joseph..."

Hulk heard something and he looked over and finally spotted a human. He moved away the rubble and saw Kiara, gently picking her up, he laid her next to all the other hurt people.

Joseph watched quietly.

"Did everyone get out?" she asked shakily. "Was it Sylvia?"

Kiara tried to stand, but then caught sight of her leg again. She sat back down. Not happening.

She tried to be useful in another way.
