Same thing happened to my hamster.
Except he was a mean hamster so I didn't really care for him as I should have.
I am a dog person 😊 Mine do a pretty good job of staying healthy.
It is just really easy for small animals to get sick because they have tiny immune systems.

@Sanibel_18 The blue parakeet in the picture you posted for Cafe looks exactly like my sister's bird! 😱

I'm sorry for your loss. ☹️ I lost several parakeets when I was in preschool, I remember. Two died, two flew away.

My first bird was a yellow one, named NameMe. When we bought her at the pet store she was chirping and it sounded like "Name Me, Name Me!"
We used to let them fly around our house (it was an older house we had when I was 5). One day my cousin opened the front door and NameMe flew right out. ☹️ We tried looking for her, but she was gone. Haven't seen her in SEVEN years. Most likely dead by now. :/

Then I got a new bird to replace her, named Flutter. I loved her, but I was an abusive 5-year-old. She died a month later.
I remember coming home one day and seeing her dead body in the cage. Then my mom told me what happened.
Me: "What's wrong with Flutter?"
Mom: "She passed away."
Me: "When will she be back?"
Mom: "She went to Heaven."
Then I broke down in tears.

So we got another parakeet, a gree none, named Lady. She was pretty harsh with my other bird though. Died the next week, I wasn't sad at all.

Through all of this I also had a sweet little parakeet named Biscuit. A few months after Lady died, Biscuit flew out of the door one morning.

In February of 2011, though, we got more parakeets. They're both still alive and healthy. 😸

I'm sorry for you ☹️

I had a bird that looked like Twilight...
he/she is dead. (It probably sounds stupid when I say that, but we never found out) I preferred to call it a him, his name was Chirp. He died, and my sister went crazy and we bought three more birds, I feel terrible she had our grandma do that because two died. The other went absolutely insane when we went near the cage, so we took it back, and there's an empty cage downstairs ☹️

I shouldn't be like this, i've had so many different pets, and according to my mom and my grandma I'm not responsible enough, but whenever they feel like it I suddenly am, and it's my fault my sister forgot to feed her hamster for week.
