There were specks on his arm from the sharp needles. He wanted to go home. He'd been here for a long time. All he ever got to see were the white walls and machines in the lab when he wasn't in this dark, dirty prison. The boy leant against the cold wall as his hands dropped to the floor. A sharp point poked one of his fingers, drawing blood. He picked up the sharp object. It seemed to be a tiny piece of glass.Fang stared at the dirty point of the tiny sharp, fragment. "You'll never add up to anything...." He shook his head, and willed for the voice to go away, even as he gripped the fragment tighter. "No one with a right mind would ever like you." Death. Death seemed like freedom to the boy now. "You will never add up to anything." He brought the sharp glass down on his bare arm. The glass sliced through his skin easily. "Even your parents left you....." Again he sliced, then once more. Another time. It hurt at first, but the pain slowly faded into numbness. Crimson liquid flowed from his wounds. He switched the blade to his right hand, before continuing the activity. "Set me free." he whispered softly. Tears trickled down his face and onto the ground and his arms, mixing with his blood.The glass slipped form his hand, and fell to the ground. "Let me go." he said quietly just as the door slammed open and his world faded to darkness.

@leafpeltIn progress. 😸Lol. Today at work I was totally mentally figuring out Aykay and Ethan's past. Like how they got their powers.So far what I've got is an experiment in combining human and tiger genes in order to create super-soldiers to assist the chitauri that was discontinued due to the resources needed being in short supply.

@asiOooh. Mystery...I think what I made up makes sense because the scientists would be looking for specific DNA that would be compatible with tiger DNA, and since Aykay and Ethan are so closely related, them both being a match would be realistic.

@leafpelt No, they wouldn't have been. Their parents were loyal to Loki and likely signed them up for the experimentation. The conditions would have been much more humane.Aykay wouldn't have been a rebel at that point, so her and Ethan would have both gone voluntarily. It would have been more like a medical procedure than an involuntary genetic splice.

@leafpelt At the time, she didn't care so much, but after she realized what Loki was really doing (when she started rebelling), she started to resent the whole experience.It wasn't so much the procedure itself that was a bad experience. It was what it represented to her that was the issue.Pre-rebellious Aykay: The procedure was just something their parents volunteered them for. They could turn into tigers. Cool.Rebellious Aykay: The procedure was a way to create human weapons to fight other human beings who only wanted freedom.

@leafpelt No. After Aykay ran away, she'd go to Amira for food and sometimes shelter. Eventually, Amira had to turn her away because she didn't want to get in trouble for helping out a rebel fugitive.

Okay, I gots this....Earlier, she had two best friends called Alex and Alexis, and even though she had a mega-crush on one or the other or both of them, they ended up getting together, hence she hates the name and boys because he chose the other girl/the other girl chose the boy other her.I'MMA GENIUS ;D+300pts for a win!
