"Ughh," Nick groaned, materializing on the beach apparently out of nowhere, when he rolled over in his sleep. He was having a particularly graphic nightmare about drowning, this time, probably influenced from the fact that he was over two-thirds lying in the surf. More annoying than anything, it was one of those dreams where he KNEW he was asleep, that it wasn't actually happening. It was just really irritating.Usually, when this happened (and it happened often, all right), his brother would come along and pinch him until he woke up (or hit him with a book, whatever was handy). It's hard to look impatient when you're drowning, but Nicholas thought he managed pretty well.

Josh sat up quick at sound of voices. Who was that? Mom and Dad were out of town, no one should be at the house right now. Blinking sleep out of his eyes he jerked back in surprise at his surroundings. A bright beach blinded his eyes as waves lapped near his toes. "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more." He whispered to himself with a sigh. How on earth had he gotten here? Last thing he remembered was saying good-bye to his parents when they went on a trip to Paris. He quickly remembered everything he did yesterday and it ended with him falling asleep in his bed. He jumped as more voices reached his ears, reminding him that he wasn't alone. Slowly standing up a sudden headache slammed him. Holding a hand to his head he slowly wobbled over to the voices. Apparently two of the girls knew each other by the way one was tackle hugging the other girl. Gazing at the others standing around he couldn't recall seeing any of them before, not even at school. "Can anyone tell me what's going on, or how I, or we, got here?" He asked speaking up. He looked around the surroundings, there was no ships in sight or even planes for that matter. Just a giant beach and a forest in the distance.

@shadowheart3Charlie was startled when she heard the male voice. She'd been so wrapped up in her own thoughts. Evidently, from the chaos around her, not everyone remembered what had happened. How had they gotten here? Her parents had sent her and Alex away to the research facility. Had the others been sent by their parents as well?"You don't remember?" Charlie asked softly, finally letting go of her sister.Alex stood there in shock, her hands flaming. Taking a few deep breaths, she managed to calm down enough. This was crazy. Why were they here? Where were they? Was anyone coming for them?"What's your name?" Alex asked, approaching the boy. She didn't like this, at all. The sick feeling in her stomach wouldn't go away.
shadowheart3 • 21 June 2012 at 12:56 AM
@april__Josh's eyes landed on one of the girls again. "I don't remember anything except going to bed last night." He told her. "In my bed. Not on a beach." He added. He glanced over at the other girl and sucked in a breath. Had her hands just been on fire? No, that must have been the sun reflecting in his eyes. A thought occurred to him about his bizarre super strength. Nah, they probably had nothing to do with this. Besides no one knew about that other than his parents."You can call me, Josh." He told her nicely. "And you two are?" He pointed at each of them. The more he found out about them, perhaps the easier to find out what they were all doing here.

@shadowheart3Charlie stepped protectively in front of Alex. No one could know about their powers. She wouldn't risk them ending up in that lab again... "How strange," Charlie said in response. Her and Alex had been away from what felt like months, though it was probably only a few days. "I have no idea how we came to be here." Alex, being annoyed by Charlie's protectiveness, shoved Charlie lightly so she could speak with the boy, too."I'm Alex and she's Charlie," she said with a grin, gesturing to her sister. She knew the situation was confusing, and possibly even dangerous, but still she smiled. A part of her debated showing him what she could do. She knew Charlie wouldn't show him what she could do, though she really should. But at the same time, she knew Charlie's fear and didn't want to end up... back... there... "Do you know anyone else here?" Charlie asked, her eyes flickering to the other humans. It was important they figure this out and all gather together.
shadowheart3 • 21 June 2012 at 1:13 AM
@april__Josh was confused as the one girl, Charlie, stepped in front of the other one. Did he look that dangerous? He wondered. It wasn't like he was going to hurt them, he was just as confused. "What's the last thing that you do, remember?" He asked carefully. "No I don't recognize any of them." He frowned as he gazed around one last time. "What about you guys?"Why would they be put on an island with a bunch of strangers. A horrible though occurred to him of the Saw moves. 'Lets play a game.' Uh no. There was no way that was going to happen!---Kira listened to the boy, Josh, and two girls, Alex and Charlie, talk. She could remember bits. She wondered if she should speak up. But first she wanted to know more about them. What if they were pretending not to know what was going on and they were the ones that put them on this island?
april__ • 21 June 2012 at 1:23 AM
@shadowheart3 ((AGH! I knew us doing two roleplays right now would mess me up somehow.))Charlie shifted her weight. How could she tell him the last thing she remembered? She couldn't. He couldn't know.Alex, knowing Charlie must be thinking about the experiments decided to act. Grinning at Josh, she took a shot. "Watch this," she said carefully.Charlie, catching on too little too late was forced to watch in horror as Alex backed away and created a fire ball in her hand which she proceeded to throw towards the ocean. "We were in a lab with some other 'special people.' She paused. Waiting for him to freak out. Seething, Charlie reached forward to grab her sister's arm and frantically began trying to think of some sort of explanation that the boy would buy. "It's not what you think," Charlie insisted, with Alex rolling her eyes."My sister's a shape-shifter," Alex spoke up, pulling away from Charlie. Her jaw clenched, Charlie took a deep breath. She'd give him some sort of logical explanation. She had to.
shadowheart3 • 21 June 2012 at 1:35 AM
@april__((Yep, I almost typed Camson once instead of Josh. xD))Josh watched carefully as Alex held out her hand and fire appeared. He was right, she was on fire a second ago! Careful on his reaction he made sure not to give anything away. Should he mention his 'ability' to them? Why not, he knew about theirs now. "That is interesting." He nodded half smiling at Alex. He ignored Charlie's last comment. "I suppose I'm not the only one then." He paused looking the two girls over before continuing. "I've come to learn I can be really strong." He almost slapped himself on the forehead, that sounded so cheesy. "Er, what I mean I guess you could say I have 'super strength'. Kind of like Superman." He shrugged. "But it comes randomly.""But you say there are more people like you two out there?" He continued as he thought over the lab with other special people. That was a very important piece of information, he could feel it.----Kira almost leaped to her feat as the girl threw a fire ball. No way! She had done that once or twice before. She wondered how much more this girl could do with her powers.

@April__@shadowheart3~~~Sylvia woke up at the base of a tree to see a few people talking. She watched silently as an ball of flame was hurled into the blue waters of the ocean. An leaf fell from the tree she was at, and as it drifted down, she caught it between the thumb and forefinger of her right hand. The moment the leaf was touched by Sylvia's skin, it stood erect to the side, defying what gravity told it to do.Moments later, icy blue veins appeared over it's yellow ones and frost covered the surface of the leaf. It froze in a mere few seconds it would take to draw in a short breath.#EpicPost

Ella was now running around the shoreline, hoping to find someone or something that was making noise. She closed her eyes to help concentrate on the sounds of people talking, and it worked: she ran straight into some blonde girl."Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! But where are we?" Brushing the sand off of her shorts, Ella stood up from her collision with the girl. The other girl and a boy were with them, too. "Yeah... Really sorry about that!" Ella told them.

@april__ Can I make a charrie that already lives on the island? o.o@cotton@bunnyshadow@asiThe first thing that stirred Aizel out of her sleep was a distinct feeling of pain. At the beginning, she hadn't really payed much thought to the small tingle in her head. But after a few minutes, the sensation had turned from the tingle to an uncomfortable sting and she'd groaned, rolling over. In a matter of seconds, the pain turned to agony that pierced her temples and she moaned, rubbing slender fingers to her head, in order to soothe the sudden headache. Aizel sat up, wincing and groaning and cracked one eye open to inspect her surroundings... and gasped. White. Everything was white. She found herself laying on a white sandy beach with white waves craching onto the white cliffs under the white clouds. She couldn't help but frown at the intense wariness that she felt of the place. The fact that she was on a beach didn't surprise her, hence the disorientation that engulfed her mind. After the headache had died out a tad, she finally regained enough sense of reality to realise that she was on a /beach/, near the /sea/. Her eyes widened, pupils delated and her breath hitched in her throat. She flipped her head around frantically, panicking. The air of her lungs quickly ran out and she wheezed. The asthma was acting up suddenly and she didn't have enough time to react. Her lungs had ceased working and she was unable to breathe.
Deleted • 21 June 2012 at 9:59 AM
Aizel clamped a hand on her chest, trying to force it to work. Her lips parted, attempting to take a sip of air and fill her ragged lungs. Had the thought not struck her, she wouldn't have remembered about the inhalor that she always kept in her pocket. She reached in the overly deep pockets of her hoodie and after a few seconds of fiddling, finally pulled out a small white device. Placing it between her lips, she inhaled quickly, sighing in relief as she took a much needed breath.

Charlie began to watch the chaos start. "We need to get everyone together," she insisted, ignoring the girl that ran into her. "She is always this serious," Alex whispered. But her sister did have a point. "But you're right we need to get everyone together."Shooting her sister a knowing look, Charlie began to run along the shore line trying to see how many people were there. Somebody called for her... That's when she saw the girl pass out. "What's going on?" a male voice inquired, approaching. Noah watched Charlie through his eyes, seeing the way she seemed to be trying to get everyone together. Charlie didn't answer, she just gestured for Noah to go to the girl, while she ran towards a boy that had also passed out.Once she approached him, she crouched beside him and tapped his shoulder gently. Was he out? Should she pour water on him?---Noah ran towards the girl. Blood. She was hurt? He checked over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching. Then, he put his hand to her head and began to try and heal her. ((Guys, I'd like to try and move through this intro a bit faster, so that we can all roleplay but we don't always have to be together if you know what I mean.)
skylark • 22 June 2012 at 1:19 PM
((I agree, the intro is taking a bit long))Andrew, really quite shocked at the overwhelming events, sat down on the sandy ground. He couldn't take it, these people had powers? Super-strength, fireballs, and what was the other one? Oh yes, shapeshifting. As if everything wasn't crazy enough, he had healing powers too!Out of all the seemingly random people here, Andrew was surprised to see that he was the oldest. Well, the sister who automatically took charge looked pretty old, but the majority of them were about 3 years younger then him. Even more people were on the vegetation part, too. One girl made a bright green leave turn a glassy blue. More powers, Andrew thought. Suddenly, he started to faintly see why only they were here, just previously drugged. Each one of them has a power...Or two.Maybe three?Who knew. Andrew shook his head, "Wow!" he exclaimed.
shadowheart3 • 22 June 2012 at 4:42 PM
@april__@skylarkJosh watched as suddenly everything became chaos. Get everyone together? Yeah, that was probably a smart idea. But where to begin? He watched as Charlie began to run down the beach. "Shouldn't we just yell for everyone to come over here?" He whispered to Alex. It seemed like an easy way to make everyone come together. He turned around at a male's voice behind him. "What is it?" He asked him as he turned towards the other guy. He must have figured something out by the way he was acting. "Do you know something?" He asked hopeful.
april__ • 22 June 2012 at 4:44 PM
Alex shrugged, watching Josh. "I think that one girl fainted," she pointed out. "Calling her over wouldn't do much good but perhaps we could call everyone else over." She yawned slightly, the heat of the sun causing her to feel drowsy. "How long are we going to be stuck here? Do you think we'll need to get a shelter together? Food? What?" the panic found its way into her voice, and her eyes widened. She finally understood the full situation. They were stranded here. The voice behind her startled her and she spun around.

Nick opened his eyes, freed from the nightmare. "Oh, thank the gods you're-" he blinked. "Oh. You're not," he swallowed his disapointment. Attempting to rub the sleep from his eyes, his arm brushed against sand, the surprise of which shocked him wide awake. It was also hard to ignore it when a wave literally washed over him. Choking on seawater, Nick pulled himself up onto his knees.Sand +Water. (SALTY water).= Beach? How on earth had he winded up on a beach?

Ella coughed and shook herself together. "Yeah, we do need to get everyone together." She told Charlie."OKAY! IF YOU'RE ON THIS ISLAND AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHY YOU ARE HERE, WE DON'T EITHER, SO COME MEET US NEAR THE..." Ella looked for a landmark near her, "THE BIG FLAT ROCK! OR JUST FOLLOW MY VOICE. IF YOU'RE INJURED, SHOUT OUT SO WE CAN HELP YOU."
skylark • 23 June 2012 at 10:17 AM
"Well, the theory, it makes sense. But I want to find out for sure if it's true." Andrew shaded his eyes with his hand as he looked up from his sitting position to Josh. "Anyways, too chaotic right no-" His deep voice was cut off by a yelling girl nearby them. When she finished, the crashing of waves on the rocks was all that was heard for a few seconds. Andrew strained his eyes to see the people coming towards the 'big flat rock', upon which he was sitting at the edge of.

Nyx stood up. She tipped over a bit, but she got up on to her feet. She looked down. She was standing on a beach. How on Earth did she get to a beach? A sudden realization hit her. "Lupa? Jag?" she shouted and began to frantically search for them. She saw a group of people standing on a flat rock. She rushed over. "Have you guys seen a girl with messy blond hair and a tall man with short brown hair?" she asked.@skylark@cotton@april__@shadowheart3@jupiter_hollow
cotton • 23 June 2012 at 10:47 AM
"Uh, I have messy blonde hair.." Ella said to the girl asking. "But other than me, there's this girl over here," She tapped Alex's shoulder, "And that's all the messy blonde girls I've seen today. I don't think I've seen any brown-haired guys, either. By the way, do you have any idea why we're here?"@blackdeathkitty
skylark • 23 June 2012 at 11:02 AM
Andrew piped up, "Are they over there?" He pointed to two bodies on the sand, just behind where Nyx was. They were hidden by a leafy plant from where Nyx stood, but Andrew, in his sitting position, could see them clearly. "Oh, I think one of them is waking up now." He turned to the once-yelling girl, and raised an eyebrow. "Is it not obvious?" Andrew asked, more to himself then her. Shaking his head, he answered her question. "Well, there's defiantly links between us and why we're here. I have a vague idea of what that link may be. But I would like to test it before I say it's true. Obviously, we were brought here together on the same floating plane, and with the same drug all at very close intervals." He reasoned. "Because we all pretty much woke up at the same time." Shrugging, "I do think someone powerful is afraid of us being more powerful." Andrew laughed, "Me, powerful! Ha!" he grinned, his white teeth flashing. "Oops, excuse my bad manners. M'name's Andrew. You are?" He leaned back lazily, the question hanging between them.@cotton
cotton • 23 June 2012 at 11:08 AM
@skylark"Uh, and that reason would be..?" Ella asked. She didn't see any obvious similarities between them. "But, anyway, I'm Ella. Nice to meet you."She sat down on the ground next to Andrew and let the waves wash over her legs. It was so extremely hot out, it had to be at least ninety-five degrees.
skylark • 23 June 2012 at 11:19 AM
@cotton Andrew gave her a questioning look. "I have healing properties. You have a superpower, no?" He smiled, then flung his arm out to show everyone here. "So do these guys." He pointed at a girl under a tree, who was holding a leaf. "She's got ice powers," He pointed at the other messy blond, Alex. "She's got fire powers," He dropped to a whisper and leaned in, "I would avoid her when she's angry. Firey people tend to be.. well, firey." Andrew's voice went back to normal as he listed the shapeshifter and the superstrength guy, "And I bet you a fresh cup of water that everyone else that came with us here has a power or two." He fanned himself with his hand as sweatdrops beaded on his forehead, the sun beating down on them. "Nice to meet you. We'll have to be careful not to die of heat stroke." Andrew smiled again, and shook his head. "Such a shame, really. All of use nice people left here to die."
cotton • 23 June 2012 at 11:23 AM
@skylarkElla's eyes widened. "Um.. Okay.. I don't have powers.. Okay.. This is freaking me out a bit." She paused. "Yeah, we will have to be careful not to die. How about we build some kind of shelter, for everyone to live under? I mean, it's looking like it's getting towards the end of the day, anyway." Ella shook her head to clear her mind of the 'powers' thing. "Some kind of lean-to or something, maybe?" She asked Andrew.
skylark • 23 June 2012 at 11:32 AM
@cotton Andrew's eyes narrowed as she said she didn't have powers. "You're not lying, but what you're saying is wrong." He appeared confused before a sudden thought struck him. "Oh! You don't know ye-..." he trailed off, unsure of what to say. He saw her wanting to leave the topic, and so he did. "Sorry. Nevermind about that." He listened to her ideas of shelter. "Well, a lean-to wouldn't be very long-lasting, especially in a tropical storm. And truly, it's not late. It's still rather early, the sun's just coming up from the other side. Which means we've crossed the equator, coming here." Andrew's eyebrows jumped, "Fancy that! A really true tropical island! Then we've been drugged for a long time, for that to be true. Pilot must be dead tired now, then."
cotton • 23 June 2012 at 11:40 AM
@skylark"Wait, wait, wait." Ella looked at Andrew suspiciously. "How am I wrong? I've never had powers. I didn't even know they existed. And it's okay. I'm just a little confused." She thought about what he said about the shelter. "Wow! We really are far from home. I guess this is kind of cool, not considering the no food or safety issues." Ella pondered on the lean-to suggestion. "I guess could make some kind of tent thing. That would help resist a storm, because it would be help up by all the different sticks. I think we should do a teepee shape, made with branches and sticks, and cover it with those leaves." She pointed to the forest, where huge elephant-ear leaves grew on the trees. "That way, it could be shaded and cool on the inside. We could try and build more than one so that everyone will fit."

@april__@cotton@skylark((I think I'm going to get rid of Kira. I don't really feel like rping her. xD))Josh looked as Alex pointed out in the distance. Sure enough it looked like a girl had collapsed. Some guy was helping her. "I wonder how many people are here..." He mumbled half to himself."Food?" Josh looked at her in surprise. He hadn't even began to think about being stranded or hungry for that matter. But as soon as the words were said his stomach began to rumble angrily. Before he could do anything else a girl started yelling for them to go to the big flat rock. Josh looked and realized he was already by it. He listened carefully to Andrew's idea of why they were there. It made perfect sense. He listened to Ella and Andrew talk for a few minutes. "That's a pretty good idea." He nodded to Ella's suggestion of making teepee shape shelters. He wasn't sure how well it would hold up in a bad storm. But it was something they could work for now. If they could tie it up tight and everything it very well might stay for good even in a storm. "We will also need someone to scout for some food." He added. "It would be better to do it during the day. Who knows what type of animals are in the forest." Whoever did the scouting would need to know the difference from poisonous food and edible food. That was definitely not the job for Josh, he would be helping build the shelter.
