@silver_winged How'd you know? 😋
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 2:56 PM
Thats hard 😊
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 2:58 PM
@kagirl21 I'm pretty good at riddles, that's all. ^^; I promise I thought of it on my own. I know a good riddle that causes you to wrap your mind around a scenario, but I don't think I'll post it until somebody gets the last one I posted. XDI suppose I could give you a hint: the riddle ties together nicely. Think of WHY a man and a woman would be zooming down the road.
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 2:59 PM
lol I know that people often Google the answers to these, so I wrote one instead. It's the only way to be sure people don't cheat. xD

a police man had been chasing them and they crashed so the police man was in the car?
kagirl21 • 9 July 2011 at 3:01 PM
@silver_winged Thanks....😊
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 3:01 PM
Nope. I'll give you another hint, I guess; the stranger did not come from outside the car.
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:03 PM
A stranger was impersonating his wife.
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:03 PM
were they taxi drivers running late?
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 3:06 PM
No, and no. I don't think I got this one when I was first told it, either. ^^; I could give you the answer if you've all given up.
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:08 PM
She was pregnant and died in childbirth while he was away. The baby lived.
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:08 PM
No, leave it a bit longer. It is more fun as the options run out
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 3:08 PM
*applause*@scorch_cloud222 You got it.
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:09 PM
Woot!! *dances* ...Wait, that's really sad. ._.
ladybugheart • 9 July 2011 at 3:10 PM
I would have never thought of that. xD
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:11 PM
okay my turn:You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon. How do you do this if you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container?
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:12 PM
Fill the three gallon jug. Pour it into the five gallon jug. Fill the three gallon jug again and pour the remaining two gallons of space in the five gallon jug. This leaves you with one gallon in the three gallon jug.
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:13 PM
Yeah, I am gunna make up my own riddle 😊Any more?
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 3:14 PM
*shrug* Don't think of it like it actually happened, just think of it as an imaginary scenario. The purpose of these riddles is to test the reaches of the mind, right? X3And I just got beaten to the punch. Another riddle coming next? I thought this one was easier than the stranger in the car one, so don't worry. XD
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:18 PM
I love riddles. 😊
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:18 PM
Me too 😊
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 3:21 PM
You are standing at the edge of a perfectly circular lake. There is an island located at the absolute center of the lake, also a perfect circle. There is a tree located at the center of the island. You have a rope with you, of, for argument's sake, infinite length. How do you get to the island? (You are not permitted to swim.)
ladybugheart • 9 July 2011 at 3:24 PM
@silver_winged Wrap the rope around the tree, break the tree, climb on it to the island. xD
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:25 PM
Infinite length? Could we potentially weave ourselves a raft? xD
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:26 PM
Make the rope into a lassoo and throw it so it latches onto the tree. Hold onto the rope and:a) lie on it and pull yourself alongb) Go across it like you would if it was monkey barsI have no idea 😊
silver_winged • 9 July 2011 at 3:29 PM
@ladybugheart Nope, the lake's too big. Breaking the tree would only prevent you from accessing the island. XD@scorch_cloud222 Nope, no raft-weaving.@nogardragon You're supposed to stay off the water. You may assume that there is something on land to secure it to. Don't think that you have to remain stationary on the island, either.
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:29 PM
Just thought I'd throw this out there. Please do not report me for posting a link, or anything like that.http://xkcd.com/246/
ladybugheart • 9 July 2011 at 3:30 PM
c) Tight-rope walking!! xDWell, I think the infinite length might mean something... and the perfect circle... hmm....
nogardragon • 9 July 2011 at 3:31 PM
@silverwindYou do, you use it as a lassoo and crawl along it in the first and in the second you use it like monkey bars so you are like hovering above the water
scorch_cloud222 • 9 July 2011 at 3:31 PM
Ahhh. Well... You could lasso the tree and tie the other end to something where you are. It would work best if you did it several times, to give yourself hand-rails of sorts and walked across on the bottom line of rope.
