Website For People Who Want To Learn New Languages - Idea In The Making

Okay, I know the title isn't the greatest but I had a shockingly *good* idea. And I only get those, what, once every eternity so I need to act on it. I even came up with a catchy name, Foreign Forums!

Here's the idea: I'm thinking about making a forum-based website where there are different forums for different languages for people learning said languages to just chat and learn the language. Why memorize a bunch of words/symbols when you can put your current knowledge of the language to use. There will also be sub-forums for things like tutoring, useful words, random chat, etc. I'm also not limiting this site to major languages, I'm going to make sections for languages from Xhosa to Malay to Slovak to Hungarian!

Here's a run-down of the classification of forums. For example, say you want to learn how to make the different verb endings in Spanish, you would go to:

-Indo-European (language family-to avoid clutter)
--Spanish
---Quick Questions

And to make it more exciting than most of the boring forums I've come across, every post will be worth 1 point and you can spend your points on little things for your profile.

Why did I choose to post this on Egg Cave?
Well, I've seen that many of the people here speak multiple languages and I thought you guys could help me out with this 😊

@zafeyry: Proborads.com is a good free forum making site, I used it before, wasn't a success but it was decent and for me easy to use. I do like this idea, it might help me with my Spanish 😋

You could do the same thing as leafpelt, and maybe learn the bases of a language (pronunciation, letters, etc.) and expand your knowledge on the site 😊

I'm going into 8th grade when summer ends, where I'll be taking Spanish and Algebra. It's the first year that I can take them. And yes, I am interested in joining! 😃

Oh no why isn't it fun? My mom and math teacher tried to tell me that it's better to be in algebra than in plain old regular math.
