Redraw Week!

I'm looking at the creatures we have now to the old ones and thought that the old eggs are a bit... dated.

I suggest that we get a week where we can redraw/recall/redesign the old creatures like the Diablos or the Caiman, so that they can get a few brush ups to give them that modern, updated look.

Eggs which I think could use a new design:

~Alkub
~Chimera
~Diablos
~Caiman
~Horsca
~Macaw
~Obarn
~Iramae

POSITIVE:

Old eggs get a new design, one that will look more updated and it might just get the people to want them more.

NEGATIVE:

People might not like the new design, we may loose interest in those eggs because of this. People might hate it and hate Eggcave, ultimately causing people to also hate me for giving the idea... ☹️

It doesn't need to be every year, just like a one time thing. Now I'm praying to God that this won't be a horrible idea that causes me social death in Eggcave.

I actually enjoy this idea. Perhaps a way to be sure no one is upset is to only re draw commons? Though, I really do enjoy the new Chocob. ❤️

I think the only way to not upset some of the others is to take a vote on whether we like the new design or to keep the old design.

It would really give people a power to choose whether they want the new design or old design.

I think that all eggs stolen before the update should stay the same and all stolen after have the new look. That way nobody can get mad 😃

Could be a good idea...

But won't the people get jealous of those who have the old design. You know, newbies may want the old design but they can't because the design has already be changed.

OR

There could be a potion that can change the new design back into the old design and vice versa.

I don't know, but I know that there are some people who like old things, vintage collectors. They may want them as a part of their collection.

@ade323 I like this, but I thought each egg had a specific interest it supposed to be kept with lol. They're all unique, but id love to see some redraws, etc. I love art.

I agree with @fakeworld I just love art in general.

I'd be interested in seeing redraws, definitely.

I'm not a fan of most of those species, but I do like the Obarn, Diablos, and Horsca, but it would be nice to get some redraws to keep things fresh😊

I support this idea! Of course it should look like the old creature, but refreshed, better shading etc. for sure caiman needs a LOT of work.. The first stage Obarn is quite bad too and Alkub for sure (sorry if people like the way it is, but I think it can be better).

I like this idea! I do think, though, that there should be a potion to refresh the older eggs, and another one to change them back. Because I have a Diablos and an Alkub, and I like them the way they are. If I got another one, then I would for sure want it the way it used to be. However, my Caimen COULD use an update. I repeat, I love this idea!

I think the Chimera, Obarn, and Macaw are fine, but the ithers definantly need to be redrawn soon. Especially the Caiman. The Caiman needs it most.

Yes, I agree. The bad thing is that if they redraw a creature that some people didn't want them to redraw, they would get mad. I think that we should agree on redrawing a creature most everybody wants redrawn.

These should be redrawn:

-Caiman
-Garguaith
-2nd-3rd stage Chimera
-Alkub

I actually think they're all fine, except for the Caiman. The Diablos is still really pretty.

I'd like to see the Caiman and the Horsca redrawn. (And sey, now that I think about it.)

I LOVE first-stage Chimeras, so I'd be pretty disappointed if they were redrawn.

@ade323 - A way people might not be upset about it is with a vote. Which do you like better, the redraw or the original? But I agree, some of the older creatures aren't as detailed as the newer ones and it'd just be a nice change. 😊

I agree that some creatures could use some touch ups. 😊 Personally, I love the Alkub and Obarn the way they are, but every time I look at my Unhemns I wish they were a bit "fresher" looking.

Good idea, but not the Diablos nor the Caiman. Not the chimera either (except for the 2nd and last stage).

I think the Alkub yes though.

The others you mentionned, please no, I love them like that.


Also, I think that the Alkub was drawn by an artist who left, I'm not sure. So Ian won't likely change it.
