@faybaybay You know, you could probably find a Chinese school somewhere. That's how I'm learning.
whitefire • 15 July 2012 at 10:12 PM
Um, Sakura means cherry blossom, not just blossom.
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 10:13 PM
@MexiaotianMy house is far away from everything ;_; the nearest one is close to 45 minutes away and It just seems a bit troublesome to get my mom to drive there every week, cause Gas is so so so so expensive when I have no one to speak chinese with where I live because my friends are all white. @chibidarknessYeah it is possible, my grandma had to learn chinese when she married my grandfather because he only spoke chinese and not malay, it just gets harder, to remember and to pronounce but i'd rather learn when it's easier than harder so I wish my school started teaching languages before sophomore or junior year
jlihere2 • 15 July 2012 at 10:14 PM
Korean is not like Japanese!!! oh def not!!! I've been to Japan, had a few lessons, and I've spent a year surrounded by Korean friends who I talk with online still. Obviously you can't learn Japanese just from a few words from manga, etc. but this person just wants a few lessons. If they wanted pro, theyd go to a pro. More than likely this person just wants to learn a few words to help get them started and probably to help em understand their manga/etc. slightly better. If we were seriously trying to help we'd be typing in Hiragana, Kanjii, or Katakana and giving pronunciations! Yes there are different dialects, but this is just for fun!
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:16 PM
@meixiaotian *Chinese high five from learning from a chinese school despite being Chinese*@faybaybayCool! See? Your Grandma did it for your Grandpa, aww. 😊 ❤️If you set your mind to something, you can, and WILL achieve it. 😊@jilihere2Woah, calm down. Also, you might want to Ping people to get their attention. Did you really read all of my posts? I think you missed the part where I said you can have fun a bit. Also, Korean people and some Chinese people were forced to learn Japanese during the Second World War, so they do know a bit the language. Also, not this generation Korean know Japanese. The old generation. Your grandparent's generation and probably your parent's too, they know Japanese, probably. But it was not passed down to today, due to conflict of these countries. Just...calm down. XD
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 10:18 PM
@ChibidarknessYeah but I never got to meet my grandpa & only met my grandma once. I didn't really know much about them beside that : / I could have learned chinese from my mom but she had to stop going to chinese school after my grandpa died because chinese school is expensivvveeeeBut malay is just as useful : ) I'm starting to speak in short sentences now haha
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:20 PM

chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:23 PM
@faybaybayI like that song, so I rickroll myself all the time. :BSelf-Rickroll FTW.
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 10:25 PM
@chibidarknessIm guilty of that too :/I sing it all the time
hayz • 15 July 2012 at 10:27 PM
@chibidarknessI know, I like the Korean language and shenanigans. But my friend.Ooooooh.She took a Korean class and she was always a Korean band/group lover thing. And she hates Japan and Japanese stuff.Been like that since 5th grade.Me: [Talking about Japanese stuff, IE: Plushies and food]Her: Psshhhh, screw Japan, they're so stupid. They attacked America!Me: Oh, you don't see me hatin' on Korea. Her: Because theyr'e awesome and they have smexi people kkkkkkkkkkkkk?Me: I hate you. I hate you so much.
jlihere2 • 15 July 2012 at 10:28 PM
こんばんは。私は ジェシー です。あなたは 日本語 を はなします か?I didn't say that Korean's didn't know any Japanese. anyone can learn any language if they try, my friends fluent in like 5 dif. language. I said Korean is nothing like Japanese language wise. Their writing system is much closer to ours than Japanese, and they have different sounds that Japanese language does not, as well as the ability to differentiate between L and R unlike Japanese language.
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:31 PM
@faybaybayX3@hayzOh noooooo. Try to slap some sense in your buddy there, you can't hate on someone/something unless they really personally offended you. All cultures are beautiful, because they make the World. ❤️Tell her that the US and Japan are at peace today. Or that historically, Japanese people and Korean people were all descended from the same under classed genus of Homo Sapiens (they're both Asian countries, so they both have similar cultures, slanty eyes and all that stuff).@jilihere2W-what??? Uuh...
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 10:32 PM
@HayzNo offense, but I hate people like your friend ;_; there was this girl in my grade who said she only liked korean people and hated chinese people and thought that chinese guys were ugly and Koreans were the good looking ones. She is also a K-pop fan, efsdjfgshjdsdhgjjs american girls who think Koreans are the only good looking talented part of Asia & think they can learn korean by listening to K-pop songs and try to sing along but they don't even know the individual words and it sounds like a slur of gibberish. I want to smack people like that.
jlihere2 • 15 July 2012 at 10:35 PM
@chibidarkness.....darnit.....I was typing in some Hiragana and Kanjii but apparently the site doesn't comprehend and it looks like my computer threw up....whoops!p.s. I learned most of Japanese from a Korean girl anyways, so not saying they don't know the language, just that its rather different.
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:36 PM
@faybaybayI personally am not attracted to Kpop bands, I don't want to hate them (I admit they are good-looking) or anything, BUT A LOT OF THEM ARE HEAVILY AUTO-TUNED during their songs. :XAnyways, China have hot boys and good singers too. XDEvery country have hot boys. XDDIt's all a matter of personal taste, but don't be hatin' on a WHOLE culture just cuz' you like one other better. :]@jilihere2Egg Cave does not support accents or other languages other than the basic alphabet. Also, I never said that they were both the same language, they are very different, but that Korean people might know Japanese, also, since they're both Eastern asian countries, they might have similarities, like a lot of Japanese words are similar to Mandarin words (and the fact that Kanji is basically just a mix of traditional and simplified Chinese words).
meixiaotian • 15 July 2012 at 10:37 PM
@faybaybay My friend's classmate was like that. I hear. Never met her (yay she would hate me).
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 10:40 PM
@ChibidarknessI am lol xD my friends love kpop, it gets on my nerves sometimes home much they talk about it, but I have to admit Kikwang from the band b2st is VERY attractive.... Who isn't autotuned in their songs? No one on the radio xD haha Every country has their fair share of attractive & ugly people lol yeah people do have preferences but seriously, Korean & Japanese have many similarities so it's hard to say you hate japanese men when some Korean men look like them too, of course all asian types have differences. I HATE when people say all asians look the same ;_; @meixiaotianpeople like that need to go to special history class where they learn all races are equal it doesn't matter if one race has cute boybands.... Plus Korean isn;t very different from Chinese or Japanese. they aren';t nearly the same, but most asian countries have some similarities. Like for example im pretty sure that 'how are you' In malay is the same as How are you in Indonesian
hayz • 15 July 2012 at 10:43 PM
@chibidarknessNooo, I just say I hate her because we have a non-se**al kismessitude. c: Censored because I didn't know if we were allowed to say that. And she'd probably just be like: Yea but Korea is still way better. And then I'd flick her face. 😃@faybaybayLOLOLOLOL Yea, I just want her to realize that everyone is awesome. Except for me, because awesome-ness can't define me. HJhflkjdhsfhsdhf;l'a;''sajdkf;jfaskdjf;lsdf;as defines me. c:I find that kind of racist/culturist/whatever though. I mean, liking one culture just because some/most of their music/bands/groups are good. I'll admit it, I enjoy Korean music, but every culture has something special. Like Chinese for EX. I find those banjo/violin thingys worthy of drool. xD
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:43 PM
@faybaybayAmen to that. I can tell apart a Chinese person from a Korean person or a Japanese person. Despite those three countries being all Eastern Asian countries, they have subtle differences, so subtle, it's basically ninja level. People just look a bit, and conclude we are all the same. They also have different behaviors.@hayzYou confuse me. X_XBut that's not even Kismessitude at all you know, Kismessis is much more intense and complex. Homestuck aside, you still need to tell your buddy to not hate Japan. To not hate any country.
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 10:49 PM
@ChibidarknessMy mom can do that perfectly, I have a bit of trouble with it since there aren't many asians where I live to study the faces of xD haha but it seems like Japanese and Chinese normally have the smaller eyes than the Koreans in general. Mongolians sometimes have darker skin & malay too ( although im pretty pale lol xD ) @hayz Awesomeness & hdjghjdfkdkgftkgjlhjsadhdshjgkfssdfddf-fdfh Define you xD Yeah every culture is nice : ) I Like K-pop, I love Sushi, I love Chinese new year music & Chinese Fans, every place has their own special thing
hayz • 15 July 2012 at 10:50 PM
@chibidarknessWell, the basic hate-to-hate Kismessitude. XD Just random hating. 😸...WaitwhytheheckamItellingyouthis. My job's to confuse people, not to explain my confusing methods/meanings to them. AUUUUGHGGHHGHAFDSJLKJDKLOh, she doesn't hate it. SHe just thinks that Korea's the best of all. And Japan's closer to the bottom. o-o
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 10:58 PM
@hayzHayz, those Chinese banjo-violins are called "erhu" 😸No, Kismessitude is not random hating, unfortunately. It's hate-love, but not platonic/just for fun hating/loving. Just pointing it out. :>Ah, well to each their own taste I suppose. But still. You're a professional confuser. @faybaybayMalaysia is a South-Eastern Asian country, so yeah, their skin are a bit darker (hotter sun since it's closer to the Equator), 😸I love Sushi too. :'D
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 11:01 PM
@ChibidarknessYeah it is very hot there and humid. I didn't dare go to the beach or in the sun too much in the daylight I mostly just shopped while I was there and went to the beach at sunset, if you aren't used to the climate you are a sweaty mess xD hahah❤️ Sushi is the best its so expensive in the US, close to 8 dollars for 8 pieces that aren't even fresh probably. None of my friends like it, I don't get why?
hayz • 15 July 2012 at 11:06 PM
@faybaybayThough the latter defines me better. c:I love sushi, but I can't eat raw sushi. D: Too much "germs" <-- Says my mom.@chibidarknessERHUS, YOU SAY.I should eat one. They must taste like French Vanilla Coffee.QUWHHHHAAAAT. NOT RANDOM HATING! D<WELL, THEN. I HAVE A NEW WORD TO SQUEEZE INTO THE DICTIONARY.IT'S CALLED AVACADOMUSHEDPIECEEYOUYAPOO.IT'S DEFINITION IS RANDOM HATING.HA.
jlihere2 • 15 July 2012 at 11:11 PM
@chibidarknesI didn't realize that they only supported the roman alphabet until i typed it. .. whoops! lol. There are similarities in writing of Kanjii and Chinese, but the sounds are different, as are the meanings of the characters. I'm just saying that you shouldn't say go learn Korean if you want to learn Japanese. You'll get to learn a bit of the grammar similarities, but there are huge differences in actual sound or meanings. Anyeonghaseyo sounds nothing like Nihao or Konnichiwa, tho all mean the same thing when translated to English.
faybaybay • 15 July 2012 at 11:17 PM
@HayzI don't like sushi if it isn't raw xDWell I don't think it's germy if it's fresh & prepared correctly. they clean it because if people were just eating raw fish wrapped in rice & stuff there would be a lot of sickness xD@chibidarknessYeah it is fun ^^ The water is nice, the beaches are normally always clean & theres so many beautiful shells and cute little crabs xD just gotta watch out for jellies.Ive been to canada before O: The place where I went to had really expensive candy, but the hotel was nice. Are you sure about that? the US is pretttyyy expensive
chibidarkness • 15 July 2012 at 11:19 PM
@jilihere2Sure! I agree with you, and to be fair, I didn't say that...^^;But I did say that learning Korean MAY help to learn Japanese. :u@faybaybayAah, but the beaches sound so fun.❤️33And, lol, I live in Canada, everything is more expensive then in the US. 😋@hayzWaht. WAHT.I II what, I justSju. BhidbbjecfhbihbfcehhfA-avocadomushedpieceeyouyapoo...Waht.
hayz • 15 July 2012 at 11:24 PM
