Suggestion--Forum Search button

Okay, I hope this is an idea that doesn't get a load full of negative comments...
Anyways. I wanted to check to see if any one had already posted a topic about how the eCodes worked, that had been answered, but I didn't want to sort through 279 pages full of "help" topics just to find what I'm looking for. And if someone had already posted one, I didn't want to make the forums even larger by posting ANOTHER topic asking the same thing. So here I'm offering a simple solution: a Forum Search button. It's just another add on to the Search bar, but you can search the forums. Or maybe the button could be in the forums themselves, so that there could be several ways to search for your topic. One way could be to search by creator, like if I wanted to find this topic I would just search "Whitefire." Another way would be to search by keyword, like if I wanted to find my Hakai creature suggestion, I would just search "Hakai." Another way could be to search the full title, like if I wanted to find this topic I would search for "Suggestion--Forum Search button." Does this make sense? I'm sure this has been suggested before, and obviously turned down, because I don't see a search button. This isn't my worst idea, while I'm sure there are some negative things about it, but here it is! I really hope this one gets used, because I think this would be a great way to make the forums better.

Agreed 😊 I always have to subscribe to a topic so I can find it again. But it's really annoying when you get all those notifications about new posts in the topic. xP

@LazyDazy411 Exactly! If this got added, then while you might still want to subscribe to the topic, you wouldn't be bugged all the time with "There are new posts in Such-and-such-topic!"

@Linpug Lol Well, I wouldn't go THAT far, because it doesn't really take a brilliant mind to see that this is needed, and someone's probably already suggested this before!

@LazyDazy411 Thank you! I'm glad I posted this and not one of my other stupid ideas! I like this idea the best of all of the ones that I've posted--aside from the one about breeding, that is. Which I don't like that much anymore.

@LazyDazy411 Yeah. It's better than the salon one, though! I think it would have been nice, but it's not that great. I was really thinking that only commons could breed when I posted that, but I'm getting off topic! Anyways, I'm glad you like this idea!
Anyways, like I said twice now, I'm pretty sure this has already been suggested before and turned down for whatever reason.

Maybe, but you never know for sure. :] I don't understand why this would be turned down because it would be very convinient. Sometimes, I search the topic name on google, like let's say for this one I would search: Forum Search button eggcave. I searched it just now, I found another topic suggesting this 😃

I think it had already been suggested more than once, but that's one idea that I cannot refuse, it just NEEDS to be made, it will make EVERYTHING so much EASIER in the forums. Just, they need to make it.

Ooh ok. Well I really hope this idea gets made, I'm 100% positive about it, it would just make things so much EASIER ya know? I wonder why the other topics like this died though...such wonderful idea. Oh well, at least you revived it. 😊

@Raitonchidori Yes! That is also an excellent idea! I would add it in the main post, except I'm not sure that it's exactly on topic. Maybe you should suggest that yourself? I would love that! I'm desperate for people to look at my Hakai, Chita, and Buru, and having those topics on my page would be wonderful!
Thank you for the support. I am so glad this is turning out to be such a good idea. I hope it gets accepted and we have a search button in the forums! Then we don't have to sort through hundreds of pages to find one topic!

@FayBayBay Exactly! A Forum search button would solve that for good, without being notified every time someone posts in that topic.

I'm not exactly sure if this is what you meant, but there is already a way for people to see there recent posts and topics that they've made on the forums.
