I'm home alone right now because my sister's at a party, so I thought this was the chance for me to try some singing, which I haven't done in a while.I put a song on Youtube and I tried to sing along, but... I couldn't. I tried so hard, but the words just refused to come out of my mouth... I tried another song, and I did manage to sing, but it was horrible. I had to sing in a high voice, and it was choppy and I could feel this weird growling noise in the back of my throat... >.> My voice would fade out at some points until it sounded more like I was whispering, then I picked up again. I ghad to FORCE the word out of my mouth, and it hurt my throat.Maybe I just can't sing high anymore? I haven't noticed any change in my voice... I mean, I don't talk much now, and I've always hated my voice, but I'd KNOW if I sounded any different.It's strange... I literally CAN'T sing. It's not that I sound horrible (which I do), but the words just won't come out of my mouth. I can barely even HUM now, and water isn't helping at all.Is there a reason for this? It's kinda creeping me out.

Hmm, sometimes that happens to me when I pull a song up on Youtube. In my mind it telling me that words are moving too quickly.

@Seanagel The words weren't moving too quickly though... XD My only problem is the words wouldn't come out of my mouth. When I DID get to sing, it was weak, my voice kept fading, and I was growling in the back of my throa th whole timet, without even trying. O.o The clearest part was the growling. XD *fail*

@DreamerThat is incredibly weird...

@dreamerI can't sing high, or very well, but the first is because I'm a guy and my vocal chords are getting longer and stuff (voice cracks, deeper voice, etc.)

@Zafeyry Lol yeah, I know how that goes 😋 Last year some kid asked me if my voice was getting deeper and I wantd to kill him. XD Because I'm a girl.I mean, I've always had a low voice, but I still sang extremely high, now I can't sing at all. O_O I'm confused.@Luv I know. X3

@DreamerYou might want to try singing scales and stuff to work your diaphragm.
dreamer • 27 July 2012 at 11:55 AM
@Luv I would do that... But I'm not home alone anymore. XD I'll try finding some time though.

@DreamerIt's cool. I have a harmony voice, so I don't sing on my own either.

@dreamerHi. The "froggy" or the weird noise is from the lack of air. Breathe deeper, and move your stomach out to suck in more air, and breathe out sucking your stomach back in. This will also stop your throat from hurting because your diaphragm will do the work. 😊

@dreamerSomething like that happened to me before and it was in the morning when I was getting ready to go to school. And when I came back home from school, I tried singing and I was fine again. But the next day, I was sick and my voice was weird again. o.o So, I think it's just a sign that you're gonna get sick maybe?
