Hi,

Just as the title says...

COOKIES SHOULD NOT BE CALLED COOKIES!

Think about it! You don't cook a cookie you bake it! 😋

Therefore they should be called bakies!

Flowers shouldn't be called flowers- they don't flow. They should be called bloomers, which is already another word. I think it's a kind of pants XD Whyyyy?

The name has nothing to do with the cooking method.

Early English and Dutch immigrants first introduced the cookie to America in the 1600s. While the English primarily referred to cookies as bisquits, the Dutch called them koekjes. In our revolutionary tradition to seperate ourselves from all things British by the early 1700s, the word koekje became Anglicized into cookie or cookey and became part of the American vernacular. xD
