Jobs?

I had an idea that you could have jobs, like "Egg Nurse" if you were here for less than a week "Egg Teacher" if you were 1-11 months then "Retired" if you are a year or older. I wanted a way to earn salaries without feeding eggs 😉

Egg Nurse: 10 Egg Coins a day (feed 5 eggs)
Egg Teacher: 50 Egg Coins a day (comment on 10 walls)
Retired: 100 Egg Coins a day (post in 15 forum topics)

You could only earn them if you logged on and did your job (encouraging more game play time). You wouldn't get *a lot* of EC, just enough for a reasonable.

It is so creative! like feeding other eggs are not the only thing, and if we can do other things that can earn ec, that would be great!

Although:

That's the bit where I am a bit confused. So can you pick your own path? Or will you automatically get a upgrade in a job? I'd actually like it better if you could pick your own path. But then, people would obviously pick 'Retired". So... My version:


Egg Nurse: 108 Egg Coins a day
Egg Teacher: 110 Egg Coins a day
Retired: 120 Egg Coins a day

Random numbers...
Different jobs get different .. advantages maybe? Maybe there could also be merchants and stuff like that... merchants get discounts when buying travels for example?

Well, Egg Cave is an adoptable site, so I'm not sure if this would be fitting. But it does seem like something to consider, and I do like the idea of earning EC in more ways. 😊

@kawaii - I like it. There should definitely be more ways to earn EC. 😊 I also think something like babysitting should be a job, just as an idea.

I think official babysitting would be a good idea - say it's like a trade lot, but the owner puts in the creatures to be babysat, 'payment', and date and time when the eggs would be returned. 😊

@ijilleh - That's what I was thinking. Rather than just putting them on Tims while you're away, put up an 'ad' saying you want a babysitter while you're away so your creatures also get clicks, views, and feeds. I know people do that now, but they just do it as a friend to friend sort of thing. It'd be a good official 'job'.

My idea would be like:

If you've been on eggcave for a certain amount of months, years, etc. you can unlock certain jobs.
