Why does everyone want a tine????

Seriously, their rarity is only 23 I think. Not even as rare as a rie. I am genuinely curious as to why this is the most coveted creature in all of ark city.

Hmmm, your right. i think Nyms are more rare than Tines. Maybe because of the CC value.

The weighted rarity of the tine isn't really accurate i guess. Because if it was that means i can get a tine with my Flolfbite xD

I think the biggest difference is that a lot of the Tines are stuck in old inactive coves, especially since the immortality thing. Add to that the fact that most of the remaining tines have loving owners who don't want to part with them. Tines are over two years old now, which makes them twice as old as Nyms and therefore there are more users who weren't around to get em and are looking for them.

I am one of those people who don't want a tine 😊. I'd very much rather have a Nym or an Olimpt 😃

The Weighted Rarity feature should no be used in instances such as this.

Tines were released when Egg Cave was nowhere near the popularity it is today. Because they were seen as normal Cave creatures at the time and there was a lack of users, that is why the Rarity is seen as such.

As @dianaea also mentioned, quite a few are stuck in obscure, dead accounts as immortals. This explains why they are so coveted but seemingly plentiful.

Ries are more rare simply due to less interest in them and not having everyone and their mother purchasing them.

@skibunny9 A first stage Tine is worth over 130 dollars of real money. 😉 Proven fact. A first stage Nym is only about 20-30 dollars.
