Would this be allowed?

okay, so I've been a bit bored lately and thought 'hey, lets draw!'
this is a heads up; (and this will sound rather odd and probably contradictive) but I was 'diagnosed' (for lack of a better word) with LLI when I hit High School, anyway, while I can be imaginative when I draw my mind doesn't process or remember the proportions of what I draw. (if that makes no sense now, it will.) Now I can, by looking at a picture, copy it almost identically, takes a while but it happens, and tweak it to make it my own, takes even longer, but if you took the picture away I wouldn't be able to draw it again until I could see it.

Now when and if I submit a Creature Suggestion I would like it if I didn't get the, 'oh I saw that in a book' or 'thats a stock photo that you've copied' I do not recreate anyones personal drawings, I usually take a photo, print it and draw away. I might occasionally use Google Images for inspiration but I never plagiarize, my work is my own I just absorb ideas and techniques from other Artists.

my questions is, would I still be able to submit a Creature Suggestion even though it might bear a resemblance to a Stock Photo or other Art? not art from here or DA but from like an Encyclopedia or GI?
I'd really like to put am idea in soon but my scanner in a bit, incapacitated.
oh and I'm not telling what my idea is, just in case it gets poached.

@missimogenn As long as you don't COMPLETELY copy it, it's fine. It's also Ian and the EC staff's choice as to whether it gets made or not. 😊

I know its their choice but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get into trouble with them if they saw that my drawing looked like a picture they had seen.

As karamel said, as long as you've made the idea your own and not copied, it should be completely fine ^^
