Moonfur had a vision of Moonpaw stuck underground.

"Miststar we have to leave now and I'll need your help and Dovewing's. Please follow me now, Moonpaw is in trouble!!!"

Moonfur ran out of camp thinking her leader and deputy were following.

Miststar ran after Moonfur. "How do you know she's in trouble?" she panted. "Look, just stop for a second, if she's in trouble I can help faster if you slow down and tell me where she is."

Moonfur slowed down to a trot.

"I heard her scream she is in a hole underground she can't breath."

Moonfur ran faster almost to the spot where Moonpaw was.

Miststar stopped, leaned back, and sprang into the air. With a huge leap, she soared through the air and landed at the Twoleg nest. When she saw the hole, she scrambled in.

Moonfur watched then ran to the nest.

"Can you see her?" Moonfur asked, looking worried.

"I can see her tail...Sorry Moonpaw, this is going to hurt!" Miststar bit Moonpaw's tail, not hard enough to sever it but enough to get a good grip. She heaved and pulled, and managed to pull Moonpaw out of the tunnel. She released Moonpaw's tail. "Are you okay, Moonpaw?" she asked.

"Moonpaw are you ok?" Moonfur started to sniff Moonpaw over searching for signs of injury or anything else.

"Let's get you back to camp, I will go out later and search for the herbs we need. You need to rest."

Miststar sighed. "That was close." She turned to Moonfur. "How did you know that Moonpaw was in trouble?"

"I just um....had a feeling. She didn't come back so i thought she would be in trouble and since i sent her to be juniper i thought she would be here."

Moonfur took a breath and waited for Miststar's reply.

Miststar looked Moonfur in the eye. "Are you sure that's what happened? If that's true, how did you know exactly where she was?"

Maybe Moonfur didn't notice as much because she was focused on saving her apprentice. XD

"I told you Miststar, I knew where she was because I told her to get juniper berries and they only grow here. Can we please get her back to camp now? She might be in shock." Moonfur counted if she had any thyme in her storage for Moonpaw in her head.

Back at camp Moonfur set Moonpaw down in a nest and gave her some thyme. "You should feel better tomorrow."
She got her a ball of moss soaked in water and some fresh kill then went out to check her drying herbs.

Moonfur sighed. "Miststar I don't know and even if i knew I wouldn't know how to tell you. I just had a feeling that was all."

Moonfur hoped that she couldn't guess her secret power from that. She needed to keep her secret a secret for the sake of the clan.

"Yes I am positive it was just a feeling. But I do remember something a couple fox-lengths before we got to Moonpaw you jumped super high and long, how did you do that? No cat can jump like that."

When Moonfur had entered, Miststar sighed. "I guess a secret can't be kept forever. I'm...not like other cats. And I don't mean that I have nine lives and most cats have one, or that I'm a leader and most cats aren't. I'm sure this may sound ridiculous, but...I can fly. I don't have wings, I don't know how I do it. I've always been able to do it, but I've always kept it hidden." She leaped up, but not high enough to hit her head on the top of the den, and didn't come down. She flew around the den a bit before landing. "So? Are you quite sure YOU don't have anything unusual to share about yourself?" Miststar asked.

Moonfur was wide-eyed.

"Wow, well I guess since we are sharing I shall tell you. I can hear other's thoughts. During the full moon at gatherings I can hear everyone's thoughts, that is how I knew Moonpaw was in trouble. I heard her scream in her head so i knew where she was. I could hear her searching for the berries near the twoleg nest."

Moonfur waited for her leader to reply.

"I know there wasn't a gathering. I guess this is hard to explain so I shall make it simple. I can hear everyone's thoughts whether they are in our clan or not. The time thoughts are loudest are during the full moon. I can also tell what is wrong with someone without checking them...i can just tell."
