@phantomHello there! Welcome welcome welcome to EggCave! ^^ My name's Silver, but if you're talking to me, make sure to type @silver_winged. This gives me a notification (or a "ping" ) to let me know that somebody on the forums wants me! You can summon any user like this; just type an @ in front of their username.Each creature has a different requirement on what it needs to hatch or evolve. I would start by checking the Archives--you can get to that under the explore tab. Search for a creature by species name and unless it's rare or recently released, it'll tell you what the creature needs to hatch or evolve!Some creatures need views. They get views whenever an image of them is loaded on someone's screen. The big catch is that there's only one view per IP address per day, so if you want lots of views, you have to have lots and lots of people see your creature. c: The best way to do that on EggCave is to leave a creature as your featured . . .
spiral • 7 August 2012 at 9:29 PM
@phantomSome creatures need clicks. You get clicks when somebody clicks on your creature and loads its profile. Again, it's one click per IP address per day, so try and get lots and lots of people to click your creatures.The last thing creatures need is feeds. Feeds are essential to keeping your creatures happy and preventing them from dying (unless you have them at Tim's Food Shoppe, in which case they'll be automatically kept at full happiness for you). Some creatures even hatch or evolve after a certain number of feeds. You get feeds by clicking on the blue "Feed Creature" button on a creature's profile. One feed per IP address per day, just like the others. c:If you can't find a creature's information in the Archives, try searching for it on dex.eggcavern.net. That's part of a larger site called EggCavern, a user-run EggCave resource. It's a pretty cool place. You can also join a click/feed exchange to help get your creatures more clicks and feeds.Any other questions? c:

@phantom Lot #223555Here you go π
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 9:34 PM
@spiral (let's see if that works ;D) Haha nope, I think I'm good. So can all these creatures be found in the adopt cave section thing? xD I'm not up to date with terminoligy xD@cqpkytty Oops! You can't access the Trade Center just yet. In order to trade with other accounts, your account needs to be at least 48 hours old.*sigh* I guess it'll be a surprise in two days x)
silver_winged • 7 August 2012 at 9:37 PM
@phantomYep! That works just fine. The only problem is that spiral is my side account. ^^; I only use it to keep immortal creatures and post things that surpass the 1500 character limit, haha. All my serious account business takes place right here.Not all of them, I'm sad to say. Some were limited edition creatures and have been retired. Those you'll have to try and trade for. The Bessy, for example, was only available last Christmas. (It's the cow that @cqpkytty just gifted you.) But your garguaith, Grendle, and lots of other kinds of eggs can be found in the Cave year-round.Other creatures are only available for CaveCash (CC for short), which you can only buy with real money (or trade for, of course). Examples of CC only creatures are our August monthlies, which you can see on the Blog. c:
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 9:44 PM
@silver_wingedOh haha oops x) Would I be able to buy them with the currency that you earn on the website? I'm guessing it's the egg coins I see in the side bar? Because I'm seeing one that's absolutely ADORABLE, the brown cat in the 2nd post down, with the string. asdfghjkl; it makes me want to die ;-; Or would I HAVE to get that with the cc?
silver_winged • 7 August 2012 at 9:59 PM
@phantomIt's all right. c:That was one of the limited edition CC creatures from last month. It's not available anymore. You would have to trade for it now if you wanted to get it. Reasonably speaking, you could certainly trade for it with CC.
cqpkytty • 7 August 2012 at 10:00 PM
@phantomxP Sorry!It's a Bessy and a last-stage Macaw.

@phantomYou double posted π

silver_winged • 7 August 2012 at 10:05 PM
@phantomRefreshing the page re-posts. ^^; I wouldn't recommend doing that. Instead click on the link to the page and then hit enter to re-access the webpage.EDIT:Waaaait. Wait a gosh darn second.I knew there was a Celia from a Zelda game, but I just now realized that it was from Phantom Hourglass! Right? And your username is phantom! So you're a LoZ fan? 8D
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 10:07 PM
@cqpkyttyAw, those are cute! I looked them up in the archives, I'm such a master eggcaver now x)@Silver_wingedHmm, I guess I'll have to do that, because that thing is so adorable β€οΈ How much CC would it take? And how much is like... 1 CC in actual money? Sorry for all these questions! Thanks for answering them so well, haha.HOLY WOAH. I never made that connection with my name and my un! xD I chose phantom because lately I've been obsessed with Phantom of the Opera, I can't believe I missed that! But you couldn't be more right about me being a LoZ fan. I'm obsessed xD Heck, Groose's theme is my ringtone, haha. Have you played SS?
cqpkytty • 7 August 2012 at 10:12 PM
@phantomπAlso, 100 CC is one dollar. 1 CC is a penny. 2500 CC is 25 dollars π
silver_winged • 7 August 2012 at 10:14 PM
@phantomHmm. It originally cost 500 CC, and since it was so recent you might be able to get it for 500 alone. 500 CC plus a limited edition (LE) creature sounds like your best bet. That Bessy you're going to receive is an LE, in case you were wondering. c: The Garguaith and Macaw are not. They can currently be found in the cave and will not be retired in the foreseeable future.100 CC is one US dollar. Therefore, 500 CC is five US dollars and 1000 CC is ten US dollars. So on and so forth. The values of stuff can be found in the Cash Shop Park. Check it out if you like. Creatures are some of the most popular CC purchases. They're almost always 500 CC per creature. Second most popular are freezes, which are formally called Essence of Litsdnats. They prevent your creature from advancing a stage. Some people prefer egg-stage or lower-stage creatures. My current featured is frozen, actually.I don't mind the questions at all. ^^ As an old user it is my duty to serve new users!EDIT:I guess I drew a connection that wasn't even there. Oops. XDI am so obsessed with the Legend of Zelda! I love it so much. X3 It's my favorite game series. I have played Skyward Sword, and I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. I have this weird obsession with Pipit, haha. That sounds like a fantastic ringtone! Which other games have you played?
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 10:14 PM
@cqpkytty Oh, okay, so I just move the decimal over 2? That's not too bad, I suppose. Do people actually pay 25 on some creatures? π±
cqpkytty • 7 August 2012 at 10:15 PM
@phantomI've heard that some people will pay like 50 dollars for a Tine. π
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 10:18 PM
@cqpkyttyπ± Wow. They are kinda cute, but I'd say more like... 15 dollars worth of cute. If even :/ I've never been into spending lots on websites... maybe I'll get changed haha x)
cqpkytty • 7 August 2012 at 10:20 PM
@phantomI agree π
stiiles • 7 August 2012 at 10:21 PM
@phantom Hi! and welcome! π
goku • 7 August 2012 at 10:23 PM
@phantom Hi welcomeπTo get a paroxy you so seek, You probably would need to trade up to 750 CC (Depending on which stage you want it in)
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 10:28 PM
@silver_wingedOkay, everything's starting to make sense. Now I just have to put it all into action. So pretty much the only way to get awesome creatures is to buy them? PIPIT β€οΈ He's adorable, haha. But my obsession is definitely Groose. Can I post links in posts? To other websites?Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Hourglass of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. They're all just so perfect! Except I haven't finished SS yet π I barely ever get time, so I'm only at where I'm going to get my sword tempered for the first time. I hate that temple so much so I'm just like, eh. xD@stiilesHey there C: How are you?
stiiles • 7 August 2012 at 10:32 PM
@phantom Hehe! I'm wonderfulll. You? c: Omg you use a 'C' and a ':' to make smilies too, but I use lower case 'c' c:
silver_winged • 7 August 2012 at 10:35 PM
@phantomSome of the cave creatures are pretty awesome in my humble opinion. But I think I get what you're asking. X3 Rare creatures either need to be bought (if they're available) or traded for (if not).That works out just fine. I can have Pipit and you can have Groose and we can both live happily ever after. XD You can post links, sure. They won't turn into hyperlinks but it takes two seconds to copy and paste. c:I've played A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Four Swords, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and Skyward Sword. c: My personal favorite has to be Majora's Mask. I just love creepy/horror stuff.They are all fantastic games. Ooh, you're going to have so much fun with the rest of Skyward Sword. I beat it but I haven't started Hero Mode yet. X3 I intend to, though. Double difficulty here I come!Whaa? The Ancient Cistern was my favorite temple in the whole game! I guess we just have different tastes. The boss fight for that one is super fun.Do you roleplay? Just wondering.As a sidenote, Tines are super super rare. They're in the top 4 most desirable creatures on this site, along with Macbots, Doovoos, and Onnies. c:
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 10:36 PM
@stiilesI'm purdy good, just enjoying my eggcave experience, hehe. WOAH. That means you're automatically awesome, haha. It depends on if my pinky randomly shoots out for the shift key, acutally. I don't control it D: Like seriously. Sometimes it'll just randomly be like, "Oh hey, let's through Celia off and make this 'c' big.' Hey. That's a cute smiley face. ---> 'c' Big noses are cute c:
stiiles • 7 August 2012 at 10:43 PM
@phantom Me too, I just joined yesterday.Haha! Wow c: Omg! Chocolate! I want chocolate! c: I'm addicted to chocolate. Actually, scratch that. I'm addicted to anything with sugar o;.
phantom • 7 August 2012 at 10:55 PM
@silver_wingedSorry it took a while, got distracted by Girahim videos xDI may love him more than Groose... I'm not sureAh, okay, gotcha. I may have to invest in a little CC soon, then.. πMajora's Mask is definitely one of the best of them, but not one of my favorites... Hmm... I really like Ocarina and Twilight Princess.. I'm not sure I can pick a favorite of all of them though x) Ocarina gets +10 points for the Zora King though xD He's such a troll. Speaking of, here's that video. Not sure if you'll get as much enjoyment out of it as me seeing as I'm obsessed with Groose, but I could literally watch it for hours. Well, maybe a good solid half hour xDhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZGm1_b8oY0GOOD LUCK. No hearts, double the damage, you're skilled if you can beat that. I'd be thoroughly impressed. I'm not even sure if I'm going to go for it. I'll probably try it, hopefully it'll be as challenging as it sounds x) It was fine the first time, I liked it then. But now I'm just like 0_o. I just got past the 3 skeleton guard guys. The first time I came past the one it took me like a week xD Bombs are so nice β€οΈWell... I used to A LOT, but then I just kinda fell away from it. I think I may get back into it sometime, though. I miss writing ;-;
