Soon, Whirl flew into the cave. "Is Y'liath okay?" she asked nervously. She looked down at her mentor. "Wait... why is he black?" @annaomg123
annaomg123 • 20 August 2012 at 8:30 PM
"The fyre must have melted his scales turning them black and he will be fine but he might be asleep for a long time..."Sunspots said as she reached over to where the wool would be, but just scraped her claws against solid rock" I've already used it al?!" sunspots sighed and started searching the shelves of rock for more wool and but couldn't find anything . "whirl, can you go find a sheep and sheer it?"I'll be right back
rainbowkitty • 20 August 2012 at 8:52 PM
oh sorry i was on neopets..."Uh... sure, but I've never done that before. Is it hard?" Whirl asked.
cynder5 • 20 August 2012 at 10:51 PM
I landed In the camp and saw Y'laith black and was very worried but I stayed in the shadows.
fuzzydragon • 21 August 2012 at 6:53 AM
@annaomg123@iceyfiraY'liath observed the scene around him with one open eye. So the gold dragon, his mother, was also his leader, Forged! Everything was a jumbled mess, and Y'liath couldn't make sense of it. He decided to just be content with watching what was going on at the moment, and sort through those mysteries at a later time. The ointment Sunspots was using wasn't really doing anything that Y'liath could feel. In fact, it seemed like the pain just increased from lying down. Carefully, the black dragon stood up on shaky legs, and swished his tail to recover balance.

@fuzzydragon@iceyfiraWhisper curled up in a vacant nest, and watched Y'liath stand up. 'Spirits, save us,' she thought miserably. If only in a day Y'liath had used the Fyre and broken a pact, what was to become of her apprenticeship, and future of the Weyr?
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 12:30 PM
@choocalate@fuzzydragon@cynder5@rainbowkitty@annaomg123@taunter@hay7199Im going on haitus, I have gotten new haters so I will be checking in from time to time.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Forged sat up, and flew up to the front of her den, and called the Weyr for a meeting. "All of the Dragons of the Skies, come out to hear my words!"
fuzzydragon • 21 August 2012 at 12:31 PM
@annaomg123@iceyfira@choocalateY'liath paced around the den, stretching the limbs that he could still feel, that weren't dulled by shock. He was still curious about the mysterious shift in his scale color. It felt like there was something covering the scales, but it couldn't be removed. He walked past a pool of water and stopped, looked back. Y'liath moved closer to the pool to examine his reflection. His scales were a midnight black, but they still glimmered gold in the sun. His eyes were the same fiery golden color they were before, and stood out against his black body. There was also a symbol on his forehead now. It appeared to be part of the black substance, not of his scales, and was gold. He turned his head as Forged addressed the Weyr.

Whisper made a sound like a trapped and strangled bear, which she would know what that sounded like, as she had seen one while flying over the woods earlier that day.She peeped her eyes open, and crept from the den, sitting at a patch of grass near the a'prece's den.
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 1:05 PM
Forged looked down at her Weyr, her family. She sighed and started to tell them what had happened."I know I have always told you, my Weyr, all of my secrets. All but one. I am Y'liaths mother, and his father was the Great Warrior, Sky Skimmer. When he died, the humans took me and Y'liath when he was just an egg. They tried to kill me to train Y'liath as a pet, and to kill us for them. But they just couldn't kill me, or touch Y'liath for I always protected him. When he hatched, I managed to escape with him and fly him to safety. I didn't want him to know I was his mother, so I went to a Human Witch and asked her to make me coal black. She did it, but my payment was my sorrow of never telling Y'liath he was my son, or anyone. If that happened, I would turn back to my original color, and have the mark of the Human slave on my forehead. I don't know how Y'liath got the mark, and turned the color of coal. If you want my leadership revoked and me to go back to being a Warrior, I have no shame in that. But please don't take this out on Y'liath. He didn't know about any of this." She sighed and opened her mouth to continue.

@iceyfiraForged's senseless babbling earlier now made a world of sense."I want you to remain as our leader!" Whisper called. "You have done no harm to our Weyr, and Y'liath serves as a strong and loyal w'gland! There is no shame in your past actions, and we will readily forgive and respect you, if you remain caretaker and leader of the Weyr."Whisper's voice trembled at the end. 'Spirits save me.' she gulped as several dragons turned towards her, the outspoken sapphire nestling.
nitromegamer • 21 August 2012 at 1:21 PM
"Whisper is right!" Called out Needle Claw. "Your always loyal to our Weyr, and tried to always tell everything to us, and do what is best for us!" Needle Claw listened to the whispers of the other dragons.
Deleted • 21 August 2012 at 1:27 PM
Whisper shot Needle Claw a thankful glance, relieved to be out of the spotlight, as some other dragons took up chanting hers and Needle Claw's words. D'hearn looked as though he might have wanted Forged to back down from her post as leader though. His eyes were coal black, but Whisper brushed it aside. He always looked like that.
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 1:29 PM
"Thank you Whisper, Needle Claw." She said. "I have some other news, though... Whisper? Please come up here."

Whisper's heart started pounding erratically, as if trying to escape her body. Either she was being completely punished and humiliated in front of the entire Weyr, or she was becoming an a'prece! She walked up to Forged, struggling not to hop like an overexcited nestling. Her mother would be proud, and looking into the face of a handsome middle aged gray dragon, she knew her father was too.@iceyfira
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 1:36 PM
@choocalate"Whisper... you poor thing. All that has happened is not your fault. You did your best, and that is all that matters." Forged looked into the young Dragons eyes with warm compassion. "Whisper, do you promise, to never back down from your duties?" Asked Forged.
Deleted • 21 August 2012 at 1:41 PM
Whisper felt a flash of resentment at being pitied at the front of the Weyr, but she pushed it away, letting hope and excitement fuel her gaze. "I promise," Whisper said in such a voice that conveyed strength, fierceness, and a burning desire to make her Weyr proud.@iceyfira
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 1:50 PM
Forged smiled, and continued, "I now stand before the Spirits of the Sky, and ask of them to make you the best A'prece ever. Y'liath shall be your mentor." She smiled and quietly said to Whisper, "I really mean what I said, you know." @choocalate@taunter
Deleted • 21 August 2012 at 2:02 PM
@iceyfiraIsn't Wind-Flight already Whirl's mentor?Whisper positively glowed with pride. "Thank you," she whispered as the Weyr chanted her name, and celebrated a new a'prece.
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 2:03 PM
@choocalate~Shrugs~ I thought Y'liath was her mentor...
Deleted • 21 August 2012 at 2:07 PM
@iceyfiraPost #15, page 1It was also mentioned that w'glands had been paired up to teach an a'prece. Not that it matters much 😉
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 2:08 PM
@choocalateThats because at that time there werent enogh apprentices.
Deleted • 21 August 2012 at 2:21 PM
@iceyfira We're any non-RP member apprentices made?
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 2:23 PM
Nope. xD I forgot to. WAIT! ~Thinks~ One of the Dragons I sent out was a very LARGE apprentice, I think... XD
fuzzydragon • 21 August 2012 at 2:25 PM
@choocalate@iceyfiraSo it was true. The black dragon sighed in relief as the questions in his mind were answered. There was still much to know, especially about the human mage, and the Mark. But he decided that he would figure out these mysteries in his own time, without the involvement of others.Y'liath tried to smile warmly at the new a'prece, but his kind welcome turned into a grimace of pain as someone nudged him. He whipped around, and was confronted by the stone-cold eyes of D'hearn. The dragon smirked in reply, and muttered, "Human slave." Y'liath's lip curled in the beginning of a snarl. This dragon had no right to insult him.
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 2:29 PM
Forged looked down at the Dragon below, and saw D'hearn picking a fight with Y'liath. She knew how much D'hearn disliked her, but to pick a fight with someone for no reason was BELOW anything he would do.
Deleted • 21 August 2012 at 2:33 PM
@iceyfira The other two were Starry Sky and Groth.😊
fuzzydragon • 21 August 2012 at 2:42 PM
@iceyfira"What do you want?" Y'liath growled, grimacing from the pain of sore muscles. D'hearn flicked his tail casually, still smirking. "Oh nothing, really. I just don't think that human slaves should be in a Weyr. Danger to the Clan, you know." Y'liath tensed. It was true. His presence here, with the human mark, could greatly jeopardize the safety of the Weyr. Y'liath hesitated for a moment, but that was enough for D'hearn. "After all, you can't even uphold a truce." With a snarl, Y'liath lashed out at his offender.
iceyfira • 21 August 2012 at 2:42 PM
...GROTH IS LE APPRENTICE! XD
fuzzydragon • 21 August 2012 at 2:59 PM
D'hearn nimbly dodged to one side, and Y'liath gritted his teeth. Fighting was no good in his condition -- he would only exhaust himself. Swishing his tail, Y'liath walked out of the main group and made his way towards the stone path that led to the mountain top above. D'hearn called something after him, but Y'liath ignored it.When his talons brushed the stone of the path, Y'liath paused. This trail hadn't been used for years. Yet Y'liath knew what was at the top, and he was the only one who knew. Carefully, he began to climb the winding slope, using his tail for balance. Normally, he would have been able to easily fly to the top, but with his injured wing, it was unlikely that he could fly even a few feet. Y'liath sighed in frustration, and kept moving.
