Awesome day at church

Today was so amazing. At church a pastor and his wife came from San Diego and he was preaching about being intimate with god and creating a relationship with him so that we can have a better understanding of what god is trying to say and to be able to hear his voice. after the lesson the pastor was telling people what god was trying to say to them and my mom was picked. He told my mom to stop worrying about the family and school and our new house and just leave it all to god and trust him and so she can have joy. what he said was exactly what my mom has be praying about and stressing over. he also talked to so many other people and he was right on the spot with all his prophecies. It was awesome because since I haven't been to this church in 4 years and he didn't even know my mom but still everything he said was all correct. It really doubled my faith because Now I really just know that he really does exist and that he's not ignoring our prayers and that he has everything in control so now my mom won't worry so much and that makes me so much happier and also makes me feel less worried about our future.

Also I was kind of hesitant about posting this because on some sites they don't really allow talk about religion if this isn't allowed I'll remove it but it's really something I think is amazing and I just wanted to share it with everyone. btw I'm a christian and I'm still very young so I don't know much about god but I feel like starting to get closer to him. c:

You're very brave to post this. 😊 That is amazing- I've heard tons of stories of that happened to people. There was also this one story of this guy who brought his dad to church and the pastor apparently was saying EVERYTHING that this guy was going through and it was really convicting him and he asked his son,"Did you call the pastor and tell him to say this??" and he didn't call him.

And I think it's fine to talk about it- After all, Ian is supposed to be a Christian. 😋

And yes, I'm a Christian too. >.> I'm kind of a coward and hesitant to post it but I actually don't care anymore. I could care less what people online think of me. I have great friends who support me and a great friend on here who doesn't judge me. ❤️

Yeah. in person I am shy and I probably won't do this because I don't like attention but online I just feel more comfortable with things. (:

That is great ^^ My mom has told me that she had a dream that someone had made an offer on our house when we were trying to move and when she woke up the dream was true & she always though it was a message from god, but I have been going to church all my life and there is no spark between me & god. I go because my family makes me & it is expected of me, but I have never truly believed all my life & I dont think I ever will. I don't have faith...

@faybaybay God may still give you a new heart, you haven't finished living your life yet! 😉 And I know of many people who were raised in the church, going just because their parents make them, but later they become true Christians. 😊 Look for signs, see if He is trying to send you a message. Reading Christian books often help faith to grow, but remember, faith/the spark/the new heart is what God chooses to give you, and people can't do anything to make it happen. So don't think it never will, God is in control, and there are many people who become Christians later in life. Going to church and gaining that knowledge will be very good to have if God gives you a new heart in the future.

@yogurt I know how you feel about wondering about posting or not. I loved hearing your story though! 😃

Actually, its part of the Terms of Service to not discuss religion on the site. Religion is a very touchy subject and can quickly spark flame wars and drama, both of which are not good for any site.
