So recently I found a site claiming that they discovered a new basic color; squant. After doing my research it turned out to be a real color too! As curious as I am I immediately wanted to see it, but you need to download a plug-in so your computer can actually view it. Because I'm such a "bab luck Brian" the download failed and now I'm waiting for a mail from their support team... =^P
Have you seen the color squant? Do you think you can describe how it looks (probably not =^P) or would you love to see it? This is the place to talk about it! =^D

@miomar, squant is simply a hoax that has been floating around since forever on the internet. The plug-in does not work in the least. Squant is unfortunately a very fictitious color.

@Meteroid
Oh well, that's too bad I guess?

UPDATE:
There are people who claim that they have seen the color squant and that the plug-in worked. I'll do more research...

@miomar, No need to research. Those people are simply playing along to keep the joke alive. The plug-in will never work. 😋

@miomar
All electromagnetic waves (not just the visible light part) are colors. So there are plenty of colors we can't see.
Infrared, ultraviolet, microwaves, x-rays, radio waves, gamma rays.
I think butterflies can see ultraviolet, I heard it somewhere 😋

@miomar

It is alright, the first time I heard of it I was very excited
until I did some poking around and found
out it was sadly not real.

There are some animals that can see colors we are not able to 😊
That is what I am waiting for, so we can place goggles on our heads and switch over to see what different creatures see in their daily life.

I send a message saying the plug-in didn't work and I got a message from "Mel Yaminto the Web Schlump (no idea what that means) and Pantomime horse" (that's who he/she said he/she was) that "the team" would look after it. Are you kidding me? =^|

It is like the fourth dimension: new colors.

We can't even comprehend it.

@Piucca
I'm still not giving up thought, what if there is squant but people just say it's fake because the plug-in mostly fails?

@miomar I'm not saying that there aren't colors we can't see, but a plug-in program is simply unable to do such a thing. A current monitor would not be able to process that. Not to mention that Squant -is- a hoax, meaning you wont see it anytime soon.

@miomar There is also a thing where you can see like... Blueish-yellow. Or purplish-green. I have no idea what it's called, though.

When I read the original post, I immediately thought "Wait, am I reading some spam email?!" because that sounds like a scam to me. You shouldn't have to download something to see a color... the idea is ludicrous to say the least.

Lol, just wondered, if they really discovered Squant, then how in the world did the people from the Color festival get squant colored stuff?

@miomar, They didn't. It's a fake website to go along with a fake color. 😋
