Side acounts

Hi, a lot of people have side acounts. I remember there was a rule some time back that you could not have two accounts. If you try to make another account, you have to enter an e-mail. If you enter the same e-mail address, it says that that e-mail is already used. So how and why do people make side acounts?

You have to make a new email address and then make a new account using the new email.

Why do they make side accounts anyway? If you make side accounts, why don't you get banned, there was an old rule saying that you couldn't make another account?

There are many different reasons. People want to store their eggs on another account to not get them confused. Some people (like me) want an account to adopt unwanted eggs and give them to other users.

Some people collect a certain pet so they make another account dedicated to that pet.

@jennifer People make them for storing immortals so their mortals can get more attention. There's other reasons too, I just don't feel like naming them. xD I have some so I don't have so many creatures on my main. You can put a period in your email address, it'll still be your address, it will still count as a different email. 😊

The rule against having extra accounts was changed quite some time ago. Here's an excerpt from the ToS:
"A single person is permitted to have up to 4 total accounts, where one account is the main account and the other three accounts are storage accounts. The following restrictions apply if you choose to create multiple accounts:

- You may only visit the Cave from your main account.
- You may only visit The Mysterious Asteroid from your main account.

Storage accounts should be used for exactly that: creature storage. Violations of the restrictions above will result in the immediate termination of all accounts involved."

@jennifer Side accounts are to be used for storage purposes only. The rule about sides was changed to give people more room to collect the creatures they want.
Visiting the cave or asteroid with a side is breaking the rules and can get the side account deleted.

1Most people use them to store immortals so that they can immortalize their other creatures.
2Other use them to hold certain creatures, or for adoptions.
3So their cove is smaller o3o BY A LOT
4So the creatures don't evolve as fast (considered a secret storage)
