Just a question, I know people that has given me a big thanks, Like @goku for the galaxy Travel and Moontops Travel for free, And @rosaline_kaye for the GoldenTree Meadows(That wasn't a huge thanks but I guess it counts.)And almost my hole cove is LE's, But it isn't big. I'm going to switch the Honk's name for a LE's name and get rid of it. I used all the name changes though so I have to wait for next month.Anyway, I just want to know what you guys would think of me if I turned into a Moderator. It can be bad or good, I just really want to know. đP.S, Please ping me whenever you post what you think, because I want to know.

@candyluver6789 Being a moderator isn't really about having rare creatures, or even giving away travels/creatures, you just need to be sensible, be willing to uphold rules, and be able to make good, unbiased decisions. I don't know you so I can't say much about that, though.

@candyluver6789 Egg Cave isn't accepting mods for the time being. It's best to be asked - usually asking to become a moderator (I know you're not asking to be one, but still) just pushes you down the the bottom of the list.Being a mod, as @sunshinecat said, isn't about having a good cove, having CC, etc. And also, it's not about the trading deeds you do for others. It's about how you help the community and how you are dedicated to Egg Cave and acting sensible and responsible on it.http://eggcave.com/site/moderatorsThose are guidelines, etc. You should read them đNote that you CANNOT apply at the moment (even though there's the application on that page) đhttp://eggcave.com/blog/comments/291 That was the time when they were hiring.

@candyluver6789NoBeing a moderator is like being a bouncer at a high coveted club. Everybody dances around, you hover and do your job. It's a lot like having a second job and just like a job you have responsibilities that your personality traits either support or hinder at work and bragging about your cove is not on the list of a priority of good moderator.Since moderators often deal with unpleasant and crazy people I would mark stable personality, activity, sense of responsibility and good sense for right or wrong as a coveted marks of a good moderator. I speak from personal experience. I never understood why people wanted to be a moderator, not before I was one, not as I was one and not now that I no longer am. I doubt I will ever accept another moderator position again. Because...you have no idea what is behind it and it can destroy all the fun from a game.Besides, after you do moderator stuff there is very little time for playing a game. And not to mention real life.

@fluffycat That was rather well said. Being a moderator requires quite a bit of responsibility and maturity. Some people may envy the position of moderator because they long for the sense of power or authority. The last thing that anyone wishes on a site are power tripping moderators that believe they are immune to punishment for their actions. Considering that you can delete or affect users in some way with a click of a button, it's reasonable that we look for consistently mature, literate, and responsible users.Personally, I enjoy my position as moderator on Egg Cave. Sure, it's given me a new perspective on the site, but I still have a good time browsing it. @candyluver6789 As others have noted though, the value of your cove nor how often you give away Travels is relevant to your ability to actively patrol Egg Cave and keep order. It may help us establish that you're generally well received within the community, but has very little bearing in the grand scheme of the decision making process.

@Meteoroid Your posts are always so clear and sophisticated!I know this one chat, where a Mod abuses his powers by banning a lot of people for no reason âšī¸I'm a bit surprised the site creator hasn't noticed yet.
