@izzfred

This could be because of some childhood memory... I used to sleep in my parents bed after my Grandmother died... that could be something like that, like a grandparent dying, or you had nightmares that were so realistic when you were even younger,.you thought they were real. I had those also. Just try to think of things that make you happy, and try to sleep alone on fridays and saturdays when your allowed to be dead tired, in case you couldnt sleep.

@izzfred

Its true, if you just TRY sleeping alone for awhile, you get used to it. Could there be any reason why you might have this problem? Like, for instance, on the news you saw something gruesome/horrific/sad thing andyou were scared it would happen to you or your mother/father, and you wanted/needed protection, or you thought your parents would be safe with you there. 😸 Thats another thing that happened with me, my father used to watch 48 hours of mystery, and I was so freaked out that I wanted my prents with me, or someone 24/7

You have lavander maybe? If you don't have buy lavander oil and evry day before sleep wash your body (yes evry day XD) and after that put little lavander oil on you (not when you in bath, when you come out 😉) and then wear the thick pajamas (yes i now to is hot still but...) and go sleep, that help me, lavander oil and the thick pajamas 😊 Hope it will help you!

@puppmaks If i'm hot I don't sleep well. My mom will put lavender oil on my pillow but that doesn't help either.

@iceyfira I think maybe it's ghost hunters or haunted collector..... Probably not.

@izzfred

What?! You shouldnt be watching those movies! If your nine, no offense, but your not mature enough to watch those movies and not have nightmares. Anyways, the lavender thing is a good idea.

@iceyfira it's awesome..... I don't have nightmares when I watch them!!! *frowns* The lavender doesn't work.

@izzfred

Like I said before, it could be something from when you were really little. Try talking to a counselor about it.

@izzfred Uh-oh! I don't wanna see the guy 😋

@rainbowkitty that type of fetish doll is meant to cause pain or trouble. Someone that went in the house felt a cold eneergy pass through him to his friend and then his felt friend felt like he was being choked. O_O

I go to sleep early so when my family is still awake I leave the door open so some light gets in a I can hear the TV or their voices when they talk. I just need to do this but I don't sleep well with them in the same bed as me. XD I can't ever sleep because I'm always worrying whether if I move I'll wake them up. and I move a lot. haha

Well, so you can't sleep without your parents?
Or you can't sleep at all?

I sleep with a thick comforter all year round (including summer) so I'm nice and cozy. 😃 That fuzzy feeling makes you fall asleep. Also, I sleep with three huge stuffed animals.
Mr. Piggly Wiggly, Pudding and Carrot. If I can't sleep, I listen to my iPod, and usually I wake up in the morning and it's still playing - which means I fell asleep listening to it. xD

Some other things I do:
- Read books
- Watch anime
- Watch Korean dramas
- Watch Korean music videos

Some days, it takes me three hours to go to sleep. I'll just be laying in my bed. For a long time. This usually happens when something's on my mind, and I want to do it that day, but I tell myself I can do it tomorrow. In the end, I get up and do it, then go sleep.

I just sleep when I'm sleepy.
And I always wake up at 8AM.
^ Unless it's a school day.
Then my Hello Kitty alarm clock wakes me up at 6:15AM. 😋

I would suggest next weekend on Friday or Saturday, try to sleep alone and then try to stay up as late as possible.

Okay well this isn't really insomnia.

Insomnia is like trouble getting to sleep in general. You are just seeming to have trouble without your parents.

I turn on the tv and fall asleep to that. Say you can't go to sleep with noises? Yes, you can. Turn it on low to a music channel and trust me, you will fall asleep.

And a dog does work. Think of it this way, if anything bad happens your dog will be more alert when they wake up than a human. Dogs are like made for that.

I just wear myself out. Then think of a story before I go to sleep. But as soon as my brain tries to make it scary, I refocus and get back to the story.

Sorry if I seem to have a low tolerance for this stuff. I don't, I like to help though.

@balletninja I do have trouble getting to sleep even with my parents. No lie. I just cannot sleep. I think of that when i'm sleeping with ym dog but it doesn't help. The only T.V. I would be able to hear is in my parents room and when my dad is watching it it's always on mute.
