Redpaw yawned as the sun rose above the horizon. Muddypaw was prodding her, disturbing her sleep. "Get up", he hissed at her. She just swung her paw at his face, bopping him in the head. "I'll get up when I want to", Redpaw growled at him.

"Sure" Blackpaw said happily. She had only been to one gathering and couldn't wait to go to the next, to see the other Medicine cats of the other clans. 'I wonder what the other clans have been up to this moon.' The young she-cat wondered.

Applespot stood and walked to Heatherstar "May I come to the gathering?" She asked. She knew she was a Queen but her kits wouldn't come for another few weeks. Applespot's tail flicked slightly as she waited for an answer.

Heatherstar hesitated for a moment, then sat down. "Applespot, you may go to the Gathering as long as you know your okay. If you feel any pains, go to Darkfeather. Darkfeather, can you bring some medicine supplies to the Gathering please?" Heatherstar asked.

"Sure..." Darkfeather replied, a bit confuzzled.

"Gathering at moonhigh. Get well fed and rested!"

Redpaw looked up at her leader, "Okay.." came trembling out of her mouth. She'd never been to a gathering before. Sparklestar was so big compared to tiny Redpaw, that she felt like her leader was looming over her.

As Sparklestar went to her den, a chilling wind gust through the camp. It bristled Redpaw's fur, sending a chill through her spine. She whisked her tail, and quickly padded to the medicine cat's den to see her mentor.

As the Fullmoon loomed into view , Sparklestar mewed to her clan "It is time to go to the gathering", she padded over to the moor to start the journey to FourTrees with Redpaw and the other clan cats

Redpaw stayed behind Sparklestar, hopefully blocking out some of the wind. It was strong now, and it felt strong enough to knock the small apprentice off her four paws.

She heard her littermates, Muddypaw and Shallowpaw playing around towards the back of the pack with our mom. I was stuck up here 'cause I was a medicine cat apprentice. She just sighed at the face and kept treading along.

Quickly, before any of the apprentices could answer her, she chickened out and ran, trying to find Sparklestar. She was too afraid. Then it seemed as if she was stuck in a swarm of other cats. All of them were bigger than her, and she couldn't see.

"Sparklestar!" she mewled, just hoping that she would hear.

SparkleStar heard the muffled mew among the big cats , worrying for the cat , she purred her goodbyes to the other clan leaders "Sorry HeatherStar , WillowStar and Gerard . I have to go help a clanmate in need . May StarClan be with you . " She bounded across the clearing to the muffled mew she heard earlier , there she found RedPaw , with her eyes wide open and staring into SparkleStar's .

But I think that is enough for you , RedPaw . Don't be scared and share tongues with ones you are familiar with . " She Turned padding away to some of the elders .

Her heart sank, she thought they were going to go home soon. Then a tail brushed up against her, and she squealed.

"It's okay Redpaw, it's me!" laughed her sister.

"It's not funny Shallowpaw!" she growled back. "I don't like to get scared like that!"

"But it's funny to see your reaction to it!" chimed in Muddypaw.

Then some other apprentices joined in, and they were all laughing at her. Her face felt hot with embarrassment. She turned around and stormed into a bush and started playing with a pebble.

"I'm nothing but a scaredy cat," she murmured. "Nothing but."

She laid her head on her paws, and watched a cricket. It hummed a tune, and hopped around. The stars were bright tonight. She was able to see even in the undergrowth. Redpaw sighed, and let her eyelids close.

'It just might be good to just be an introvert,' she thought to herself.

After Sharing some news with the Elders , SparkleStar trotted off to visit AppleSpot "Hello there , Applespot . How are your kits doing ? " She asked politely using her nose to point to AppleSpot's swollen tummy .

@magenta An introvert is someone who is extremely shy, or who is all caught up in their thoughts (in Redpaw's case, she is caught up in the thought of what everybody else thinks of her)

She couldn't sleep, no matter how hard she tried. She didn't want to be at this gathering, nor did she want to share her own opinions with the other apprentices, they would just laugh at her.

Redpaw stood up on her paws, and shook the dirt off her fur. She then trotted down to a small brook and took a few laps of water. The air, it didn't smell like either Wind Clan or the Four Trees. She assumed that it was another clan's.

Not wanting to get in trouble, she quickly left the brook. But her scent back to the Four Trees was faint, and blown away by the wind. She knew this path would be misleading to take, so she decided not to follow it, and just go by memory.

"StarClan," Redpaw called out, "Don't let me get lost now."

Redpaw tried to remember the way, but everything looked the same. The trees, the undergrowth, the weeds, the leaves, the herbs. Everthing. It was just a green blur.

She kept trudging through the green blur though. But after a while, and the moon was at it's peak, she realized that she was lost. She expected her littermates to be worried for her, as well as the clan.

Instead of getting even more lost than she already was, she found a rock next to a river to lay on. If she stayed where she was, somebody would find her eventually.

That night, she stared at the stars. "Why couldn't you have let me go back? Is being introverted really this bad?" She cried out. Tears welled up, but she blinked them back.

She laid her head on her paws and fell asleep, dreaming of being free. Free from duties, free from pain and suffering, and free form worry.

"Gerard, that's not a kit. If Sparklestar was desperate to find some WindClan cats, she would share her worry with her. We are all vunerable of an attack, and we need more time. Besides, look at those two, they look healthy and strong, and smell like WindClan." Heatherstar reasoned.
"Either way, it doesn't mean I can't scare her! I mean, look at her, obviously she is a cat of the code. She can't hurt me!" He retorted, jumping out on the small she-cat.

The creamy kit wonder around the nursery, seeming to have no aim, but did. Her parents, had of course been killed in battle a moon ago, yet she didn't no this. She sat down and began to mew hopelessly.
