@nogardragon
There have been so many rumors in the past about the world ending, and they never did. This one is no different. Nothing bad will happen in 2012. Trust me.

Thats calms me a bit, but the 15 geography lessons in a row on the subect of 'the ways the world could end' didn't help ☹️

Those are just silly theories! Most of the time, people think they're so smart thinking of the ways, but they're just fantasies that aren't true. πŸ˜‹

Thanks...maybe this is the unknown cause of my anxiety.... I had forgot about this weeks ago but then I read a user's status and it had the words to a song that they played at school about the end of the world. Plus in the forum she sent a post back to me about the song saying when the apocalypse happens she will stand in the streets blasting it out of her stereo ☹️

A lot of people will be doing weird things on days they believe the world will end! But really, it's totally not true. There have been, like, 10 dates in the past that said the world would end, and it never did end. There's also no proof at all the the world will end anyways!

...
Even if the world did end, what would happen? The planet would explode? Extreme things don't just pop up πŸ˜‹ it takes a long time for something big to happen, and if the end was coming, scientists would have noticed.

Me: I was just jk (not really)

@nogardragon you really think the Government would allow a movie to be made if it was true? No! They'd keep it secret and flee to Mars! xD And you know how the Mayans made that prediction? They ran out of rocks!!!! X3 They used rocks for the Mayan calender, and when they ran out of rocks they said, "Oh no! No rock left! World end day rocks end!"

@icicle_9510 Thats funny, XD I have an image of people sorting rocks all thier lives now O_o

Deleted • 25 July 2011 at 11:19 AM

@icicle_9510 - the Mayans didnt run out of rocks. they disappeared - as in inexplicably disappeared off the face of the planet. archaeologists & scientists still cant explain it.

the december 21, 2012 - end of world predictions were made by scientists & archaeologists because of the ancient Mayans who built a calendar dating up to the 21st December 2012. the calendar ends there, and according to their writings & the calendar, it will be the end of the world.

there is a more 'science fact' threat if you can call it that.

google apophis meteor. it will pass within very close proximity of earth on 2029, and on its return path in 2039, it will hit the earth directly - 'according to the astronomy guys'

and guess what - tomorrow you could be hit by a bus on your way to school or work.

the point i am trying to make is 'who cares?'

live each day as if it is your last. dont put things off for tomorrow or the next day or next month. try to do things when you can and enjoy it.

enjoy life and what it has to offer.

Japan scared me... But I'm sure nothing bigger will happen before 2012. Its all talk.

Deleted • 25 July 2011 at 11:31 AM

@nogardragon Aww, honey! A few years ago when the movie came out, I cried at the commerical because I thought it was real! :'D That was silly. Remember the May 21st thing? And all the other "apocalypse dates"? Not going to happen. People are silly and just want to scare you. *hug* Nothing will happen. I'll be laughing on the 22nd of December in 2012, saying, "HA!" 😊
*huggle*

@phalen oh i know they disappeared xD that was the story my teacher ttold us when someone else in my class was scared of what people were saying. The calendar was a calendar made of rocks, and they wrote that the day the rocks ran out, they believed the world was going to end. X3

A man said the world would end May 21 2011, it was all over the news. We are still here. My parents told me that a man said the world would shut down and stop spinning in 1999. It didn't.

Here is a conversation me and my friend came up with to tell people who believe the world will end.
Did anyone ever consider the Mayans got tired of carving 8 foot long rock calenders? Did anyone think the Mayans who lived over 400 years ago didn't think live would thrive this long? Did anyone think someone caraved 9-11 attacks on the calender to scare us befoure it happened?

Thanks everyone 😊

I feel much better now, I say "blame the Mayans"

Lets not forget that someone thought the world would end in 2000 and i didn't and i was watching a show about this subject.

They went and saw the computer thingy that could track what was happening in the future (though i don't believe quite yet) but they said it prodicted may things that had happened

Anyway, the computer actually goes down in december 2012 and then comes back up in like March 2013 so the prediction is that the Web will go down...its "a world" like the dinosaurs and something survived!

Idk i was watching a show about "the world ending in 2012" and they visited a computer that tracked what happened in the future and it goes down in Dec. 2012 and then continues in March 2013 so they all thought it is going to be the computer world that will "end" for a little bit

They said that same thing in 1999 that the internet and all computers would shut down. They didn't.

@jazzyleia so they are saying that the computers will 'end' for that time then they will 'come back to life'

Deleted • 25 July 2011 at 11:54 AM

@phalen i googled Apophis... now iv got to worry about that? X3333
@hvernon yeah i mean if that person had really thought it was true, why would he have started writing a book about it? XD he just wanted to be on the newsπŸ˜‹

@nogardragon well thats what they think about the computer thinking that πŸ˜ƒ I don't believe the world will end...the world never ended something always survived!

Deleted • 25 July 2011 at 11:57 AM

@jazzyleia Like @hvernon said, they predicted the computers wouldn't be able to handle switching into 2000 or something like that. I doubt that would happen. Computers aren't the smartest things in the world. 😊
