So I just recently bought travels, and I thought it is a really long progress. Something that used to take me a few seconds to click "Yes, Im sure of purchase."
Now it is haggling and security code.
Can you make it voluntary for the haggling?

Eggcavers ideas/comments?

@lunar

I heard the thing about the new system is so that the same user doesn't purchase all of the travels at once; the haggling & code so that it takes longer thus giving other users a chance...

I'm just putting this out there for thought, is all c:

@lunar I don't like it. It's super annoying. I think it was made to be 'fair' possibly? But I honestly think it's unfair because how long it takes. Plus I always haggle the wrong amount. Much simpler if we could just click. And yeah I agree we should be able to choose if we want to haggle or not.

I think it's more for security reason. Someone could possible make a program to buy certain travels as soon as they enter the TA(yes people do do that..), and the code is there to prevent that. But yes, it's annoying. I'm not saying to take it off completely, but change it so it doesn't take too long.

I like the security code, I think that's pretty useful and it does delay the purchase long enough to let other people have a chance too, and I have no complaints about that really.

But the haggling does get to me a bit by the fact it doesn't really... work. I've attempted working on lowering the values but no matter what the price, it doesn't let me lower it by much. I was buying a Newland Castle Travel for 89k (ish) and it wouldn't even let me take 1,000 off that price, which is kinda silly to me. So I think it's the haggling that, if anything, needs a little tweak.

If my memory serves me correctly, Ian put in the security code shortly after we had that issue of travels not popping up in the TA at all. I'm just taking a guess at this, but it doesn't seem unlikely that someone had a bot running and was automatically buying all of the travels the moment they were put into the TA, hence why none of us could find any. That being said, the security code could very well be in there to prevent people with bots from coming in and eating all of our travels 😋

I think the security code is okay, but right atfter the first pop-up there should be another that says, "Haggle?" Then you select yes or no. ...I hope I explained that well enough x3
