The Final Apocalypse (Literate Roleplay)

~Plot~
It is the year 4828. Your home ship has been orbiting around the dying Earth for two hundred years, until one day, you wake up to see that your home is surrounded by Aferraron ships, and your planet gone. Vanished.
The Aferraron, rivals of the Humans, have destroyed Earth and focus on murdering the human race next. The home ship is in chaos. Two billion people, the population of Earth after the Annihilation of 3333, are at risk of losing their lives.
You wake up in a small, enclosed space. You are chained to the white metal walls. The chains are loose. You sense that they are only there to keep you from panicking. Through the small window, you can see others in their own cells. Worried looks move over their faces like shadows. A large table holding several small vials of a blue liquid sits in the middle of the circular jail. You jump back as a loud voice comes over a speaker, embedded in the ceiling of your cell.
"Do not fear. This is Captain Jeren of the Humans. You will be our protectors."

Okay, I know the plot doesn't make much sense right now, so if you need some help understanding it, here's a summary.

The RP takes place in the distant future. Your home spaceship was orbiting around Earth, as usual, when it was attacked by the Aferraron, an alien race that plans on killing all of the Humans.
Your character wakes up in a small cell with other people in other cells. A loudspeaker comes on, explaining that they are not to worry, this is the captain of some other ship who is also Human, and that the characters will be the Human's protectors.

Looks (not including outfit):A Short girl(about 5 foot) with brown hair and eyes. She has a single red streak in her hair. Has a rather kind face and some nasty scars all over her arms, legs, and back.
Other: Rarely speaks or is included in decisions. Extremely shy. Has a slight fear of people. Parents died in a tragic accident when she was ten. She won't accept that they have passed away and becomes angry if she is told otherwise. She is a vegitarian for ethical reasons and belives animals should have the same rights as all humans. She is allergic to applesause.

Age (13-19): 15
Gender: Female
Looks (not including outfit): She is tall for her age standing at about 5'11". She has very pale skin and her eyes are forest green with a hint of amber in them. She hardly ever smiles, and right under her lip is a scar which she gained after she ran into a wall that has a loose nail in it. She has pitch-black hair with crimson streaks in it and her hair is slightly spiky, it looks as if it's never brushed and it comes to about her neck. She has a bang that covers half her left eye and she always seems to be brushing it aside so that she can see.
Personality: She is often rude and cold towards her enemies and she doesn't trust people easily. She can be very nice once you get to know her and she has a nice sense of humor. She is very stubborn and could argue with a wall for hours and she doesn't often think things through. She is smart but she doesn't use her head often so it doesn't matter. She is annoued easily and can be gery snappy. She is often sarcastic with others, she is also bipolar.
Other: She likes applesauce.

Looks (not including outfit): 5'5" tall. Thin, but not malnourished. Fair, clear skin and waist-length wavy strawberry blonde hair. A small part of her hair near the back of her neck is black. She does not tell anyone, but it was put there as a mark of being born with the Aferraron. Nala has dark green eyes with a blue ring around her irises.
Personality: She tends to use sarcasm a lot and is great at lying and spying on the enemy. However, her troubled past of living alone for her entire life gives her a cold side that she attempts to keep well-hidden. She has a short temper and can lash out at anyone, even her closest friends. Her temper can get her into a lot of trouble and even bring the enemy closer to destroying her or anything else of significance to the Humans. Once Nala gets to know somebody, she can be a great person. One just has to look past her other traits. Nala hates applesauce, but she likes apples.

Gender: Female

Looks: Short blonde hair that barely touches her shoulders, lightly tanned skin with some bruises here and there, mostly around her arms and legs. Even a scar that goes from the back of her neck to her left shoulder. Has navy blue eyes with a crystallized look, a bit tall standing at 5'8", and has a robust look to her with a slight build. Her nose is sharp with her cheeks a bit boney.

Personality: Can be quiet but knows when to start converstations or to speak in one already created. Knows what secrets she should keep to herself and whom to hide them from, and is very good with lies unless she were to be overly embarrassed. She can be kind, although it is very rare to see her being kind with how serious she is most of the time; but she can throw a sarcastic comment.

Other: She hates applesauce. She carries around two pistols, three tactical grenades and two lethal grenades; finished with a ballistic knife.

We can start now!!

Nala peered out of the window of her small cell. A whooshing sound came from the door, and it slid open.
Surrounding her were children and young adults who looked very confused. One little girl almost bursted into tears when she realized that her family was not there. Looking out a large porthole, Nala could see that they were far from Earth.
A man, looking like he was in his early twenties, appeared out of nowhere. He was wearing a skintight black bodysuit that seemed to shimmer in a strange way, as if it was enchanted. Immediately, everyone glanced toward him.
"Are you Captain Jeren?" one small boy whimpered.
"Yes, and it's okay. I'm you're friend. Do not worry. I have brought you to my ship to help the Humans."
"What are you going to do to us?" Nala snarled. Captain Jeren eyed the glass vials on the table.
"These will help you. They will make you strong and special from any other Human. You will have powers, powers to fight. You will be able to destroy the Aferraron." Captain Jeren explained.

A girl looked up her hair falling to the sides of her face, revealing freckles and frightened hazel eyes. The girl had soft features, and kind eyes. It seemed that the girl wouldn't hurt a fly.

"Why?" She whimpered toward the captain almost silently. The girl was asking, 'Why us? Why did you captured us if you're are "friend"? Why are you so evil?' Though, all that emitted from her mouth was 'why'.

I hate how there aren't italics. So the words I capitalize are either supposed to be italic or are just yelling. Most likely italics, for now.

Captain Jeren smiled. It was a friendly smile.
"Because, dear, the Aferraron must be killed. We cannot suffer any more losses in the population. The Humans must live, or the Aferraron will take over Earth. They will take over every race in the galaxy. We cannot let that happen."
Nala stared at the captain. "Well, SIR, how can we believe that you aren't trying to poison us? To kill us, and you are secretly on their side?"
Captain Jeren looked at Nala. "Pick a vial." Nala slowly stepped toward the table, and gently picked up a vial near the center of the table.
"Now, then, I have not taken one yet. I was planning to take one when you all did. However, I suppose it is not strange for you to be curious. By the way, just call me Jeren. We all need to keep it simple." With that, he chugged the entire contents of the vial.
In a split second, Jeren fell to the floor. There was a sharp intake of breath from everybody as they stared at his motionless body. Fifteen seconds passed until Jeren began to glow. It was barely visible, just a small black aura outlining his shape.
Jeren gasped for breath, and sat up.
"You see, I'm fine. The liquid has given me something. A power that I do not know yet. I'm sure I'll find out in the next few minutes."

A tall girl with red and black immediately stood up as the man walked in. "Then why have we been kept in these cells? If you are our friend then why are you treating us like prisoners?" She asked, her green eyes narrowed in slight anger. She crossed her arms, "What's in the vials?" She asked, not trusting the man as his words were vague.

She looked around at all the others and sighed sadly. There were several really young ones and she fel bad that they had to grow through all of this. She then turned back to the man expectantly and waited for him to answer.

She arched her eyebrow as the man fell to the ground. He seemed fine enough but you never knew, something might go wrong soon enough and he could die. She didn't want to die at the moment so she wasn't sure if she could trust the liquid in the vials.

Age (13-19): 18
Gender: Female
Looks: Shaula is a fiery and spunky looking girl with fiery features. Her skin is pale, like white stone with freckles dappling all along her face and body. She has a long wave of curly and tangled hair that cascades down past her shoulders, like a waterfall that floods down to her waist. It descends down tangled and free with an elegant but rebellious grace, framing her soft figure sharply. Her cheeks are accented by a slight blush and several freckles that speckle her face like stars speckle a night sky, and her lips are full-bodied and tan. Her nose is slightly pushed in, and her bangs frame her green eyes that are brimming with defiance. She wears plain clothes that are easy to blend in with and move around with in, like a white tee shirt and denim shorts, or a trench coat filled with all sorts of weapons like knives, guns, even small grenades. No matter what, even if she doesn't need them, she carries two handguns by her side and a dagger hidden in a secret pocket in her shirt.


Personality: Shaula is cruel and heartless. She cares nothing of other people. She's strong and hardy, and she never gives up. She used to make her living as a thief, stealing from *applesauce* commoners on the ship. She makes sure that she is always prepared for anything.
Other: She is absolutely terrified of water.

Jeren coughed quietly and stood. He faced the girl. "These vials, as I have previously explained, contain different powers. I do not know which one you will get. I do know that each vial will cause you to become stronger. You could be as fast as the speed of light or have the ability to open airlocks on the Aferraron ships. My team and I are only trying to-"
Jeren fell to the floor yet again, writhing. Nala turned an odd shade of gray and covered her mouth with her hands. Some of the smaller kids buried their faces in their jackets.
Jeren quickly stood up, startling his audience.
"My ability has kicked in." Gasping, he held up his hand. A miniscule flame popped on his fingertips. Nala held in a scream. She had never seen anything like it. She was in awe, but a tiny part of her was terrified.
Jeren closed his hand into a fist and put it down.
"I can promise all of you that I will not hurt you. These abilities will not hurt you, only improve your senses and strengths. I will care for each and every one of you, so we can work together and defeat the Aferraron. If you would like to join me, please raise your hand."

Alex rolled her eyes, she didn't like being orders around and the man seemed to be trying to boss her around. As Jeren's fingertips caught fire Alex just shook her head and muttered under her breath, "Show off." Her voice was barely audible so that he wouldn't hear. Alex would rather that the next thing that caught fire wasn't her.

Glancing at the others for a moment, whether turned back to Jeren and said, "Ok, but if I die I'm going to come back and haunt you." She muttered and stubbornly raised her hand. She then wondered what had happened to her family, she had four siblings and a dad and yet she didn't see any of them. She sighed and looked around to see who else would raise their hand.

Shaula glared at Jeren. "What do you want?" she asked coldly. Her eyed narrowed as she glanced through the crowd of people. "And if we do join you, what will we get from it?" she continued.

She slowly pushed her hands into her pockets and grasped a small grenade. She readied herself to blow up the whole place and run out.

Nala's eyes wandered around the room. Unexpectedly, her hand shot up. "Me."
Nama figured that anything could be better than living alone with nothing to do. Maybe she would make some friends. Maybe friends that were as close as family.
Jeren looked at Nala and nodded. She could tell that he wasn't lying, that he was trying to help.
"When you are ready, take one." Jeren said, gesturing towards the vials.

Robin raised her hand. It was clear that she was trying to be brave, but the uncontrolable shaking of her arm made it quite obvious that she was utterly terrified. She looked at the shiny glass vials. She wondered what would happen to her if she decided to drink the concoction. No doubt this had ever never tested before.

Alex didn't say a word as she stepped forward. She picked up a random vial and looked at the liquid inside. Deeming it bad, she placed it back in its original spot. She choose another one and took if the top. She smelled it and scrunched up her nose at the smell, she then did muttered, "Well, it's now of never." She then opened her mouth and tipped the liquid into her mouth.

She froze and kneeled down, not totally fallin to the ground as she refused to look like a weakling that couldn't handle the stuff in the vial. She finally began to glow, an aura of dark green appeared around her. She then got to her feet quickly and shook her head, "I'm good." She said, she then stood and waited for her powers to come. Her foot tapped slightly on the ground as it always did when she was waiting for something.

After seeing what was happening to the last person who drank the liquid Robin wasn't so sure she wanted to do this. Summoning all her courage she stepped forward to take one of the vials. She looked at all of them and decided which one she wanted to drink.

She lifted the vial to her lips to drink it. It had an indescribable taste. It was neither good or bad tasting really, but it reminded her of the taste she got in her mouth when she bit her lip, but different.

Suddenly her head exploded with pain. She collapsed to her knees, it was as if someone was hitting her head with a hammer. just as she was about to black out the pain stopped entirely. She stood up and felt fine, but also different. Very different somehow.
