The Final Apocalypse (Literate Roleplay)

Alex stood waiting, her foot still tapping, for her poers to come. She guessed that if she didn't die and she actually got a power then it'd be a dumb one, well with her luck, anways. She sighed, beginning to feel a bit anxious, and she ran her fingers through he tangled red and black hair. She began to wonder if anything was going to happen at all.

Suddenly, Alex leaned over and clutched her side, shaking madily. She was now on her knees, with her head resting against the ground and her hold body shaking. She shook for several more seconds before she felt fine once more. She quickly got to her feet and shok her head. She then walked over and leaned agaisnt ine of the walls trying to catch her breath.

She then leaned against the wall and stared at the shadows. She noticed that the shadows seemed to kind of move as she looked at them and she got an idea. She reached out and focused hard, thinking about the shadows going into her hand in a ball of shadows. She looked down and saw a very tiny black wisp, about the size of a raisin, in her hand. She smiled and closed her hand.

Robin stepped back into the crowd of people. The people in the crowd were watching her as if to see if she would spontaneously combust. She hated being stared at, to her it was the worst feeling in the world. Suddenly she felt something. Fear. She wasn't afraid, but all around her she felt it radiating off all everyone. She sensed other emotions too. Curiosity, worry, anger, confusion and suspicion.

She realized what had happend to her. The odd liquid had made her aware of others emotions. Not just emotions though, but let her sense others thoughts. however not in very great detail. She could only get a vague idea of what those around her were thinking. She focused in on one young boys thoughts. All Robin could really make out was that he was very worried about someone.

Summer was one of the last ones to take a vial. It had a pink sparkly liquid in it and tasted of strawberries. She drank the whole thing slowly, and soon started coughing, making her fall to her knees. There was a very light pink glowing from her.

Jeren swiveled around to Shaula.
"You will gain the abilities needed to help the Human race from total destruction. Need I say more?"
As Jeren spoke, Nala closed her eyes and reached for a vial, clasping it in her hands. Without looking, she swallowed all of the liquid at once. Nala barely had time to register the salty taste before she clutched at her throat and kneeled on the ground. A strange feeling moved inside of her, making her feel oddly powerful.
Nala changed positions and sat crisscross style on the floor as the others watched.
"I'm fine." She croaked. Standing, Nala went to stand next to the shadow girl and waited for her powers to come.

Astrid walked silently towards the vials and picked up the one closest to her, which liquid beared a white color with a small tinge of beige.
She gulped it down easily, but soon had her knees fall down slightly as she felt the liquid sting her throat harshly.
It passed by in a matter of seconds and she felt strange stings in her gums, fingers and toes, yet it didn't hurt.

Astrid waited for more pain to ensue, but after a little she regret it. The pain came back, but worse this time as her lower legs fell to the floor and she wrapped her arms around her stomach. The young woman groaned quietly but soon stood back up and raised her right brow.

She then felt her nails feel like they had been torn out and clenched her jaw with slight agony and looked down at her hands.
Claws. Or were they just very, very sharp nails? she held her hand up but soon winced when she felt her gums sprout out something sharp as well. She opened her mouth and put her left index finger inside, bending it a bit so her nails softly grazed her hand, and felt something so sharp that she could taste a certain scarlet liquid.

Astrid quickly removed her hand from her teeth and sucked on the hurt finger with her lips, making sure that the razors didn't hurt it again.
She soon felt and saw all of it go away, a bit disappointed to say the least.

Robin watched as others went up to choose a vial to drink. They all seemed to experience pain after drinking the stuff. She wondered what they would all do after everyone had received they're powers. Eventually they would have to go fight. She was very worried, many people will get hurt, even die trying to save humanity.

Nala shivered as she felt something cool against her hand. Reaching upwards, she could see small droplets of water collecting in her palm. Nala closed her fist and opened it up again. More water collected in her hand.
She watched the amount of water become larger and larger until it spilled over her fingers and onto the polished floor.
"Sorry." Nala apologized and went to clean it up.

Alex stared at the wall and concentrated hard on moving the shadow and changing their shapes. She managed to shift them into the shape of a wolf but seconds later the shadow took on its original form. She sighed but murmured under her breath, "Ok, that is really cool." She then turned to watch the other kids and see their powers.

Robin wondered what would happen now. Everyone had drank the stuff from the vials. She looked over at Jeren, waiting to recive instructions on what they would be doing next.
