@whitescales @leafpelt @april__ @shadowheart3 @jupiter_hollow--Djin sighed. "It is exactly as Kire said. And besides that, he's more powerful than you could imagine. Even his name makes my scales crawl." Storm nodded carefully, taking it all in. "Alright. Seriously powerful nutty dude. Sounds fun." She said sarcastically, earning a whack on the head from the air dragon. "It isn't to be taken lightly! Our world is on the line, Storm." Djin hissed.

@leafpelt @april__ @shadowheart3 @jupiter_hollow @ems"Not just ours either, yours is in danger too. If the Wanderers succeed your world will be in some very hot water." When Leigha looked up at Kire she noticed his posture was stiff and his face had lost its usual carefree smile. This was all serious. And real."So," she stood and placed her hand on Kires shoulder which got his attention away from whatever he was thinking, "What's our plan then?"
ems • 29 April 2013 at 11:26 PM
@whitescales @april__ @shadowheart3 @jupiter_hollow @leafpelt--Storm shuddered, and she felt a tail wrap around her as she was tugged closer to Djin. "Well, for now, we need to get to know each other. Good armies know themselves inside and out." Storm found herself smiling a bit in the dragon's hug.
leafpelt • 29 April 2013 at 11:40 PM
@ems @whitescales Alexis joined in. "Ok, so basically we're in a world with a "good" side and a "bad" side, and we "puny mortals"have these dragons as our partners? And yeah..I kinda had dreams. You know, seeing mythical creatures in a water reflection, an eye in a mirror, and screeching shadows in my lemonade. Normal stuff." She ignored Argentum as she snorted and muttered, "Normal stuff. As if."
Deleted • 29 April 2013 at 11:57 PM
@april__ @shadowheart3 @jupiter_hollow @leafpelt @ems"Well these 'Wanderers' must think that they're the good ones themselves, it's all about perspective no matter where you go." Leigha shrugged, "I never had the lemonade one before, how bad was it?" She added with a slightly sarcastic note."Be nice..." Kire tugged her shirt."Well if it's this serious shouldn't we be doing something? Going somewhere?" She snorted."What's wrong with being here? And that's still no excuse for you to be rude to people." He poked her playfully. "I know you have a nice side somewhereeee.""No I'm completely evil to the core and a danger to this mission, can I go home now?" She narrowed her eyes."Mmmmm nope.""Nope?""Yep, nope. Not gonna happen. We need ALL of you here & we need to all cooperate." Kire added cheerily."That's just great." Leigha mumbled.
leafpelt • 30 April 2013 at 12:03 AM
@whitescales Alexis paused. "Sour. Very sour." she murmured dryly. Then she turned to Argentum. "How about a test flight?" she prompted. Argentum nodded, as well as a dragon could. "For once, I agree. Sadly." Alexis could just see the boredom in her eyes."Well, I don't like you much either," she muttered resentfully. She climbed on Argentum. "Go fast," she yelled as Argentum got ready for take-off. "Really fast!" Her words were cut off as they shot in the air.

@leafpelt @ems"So, they flew off...." Leigha relaxed a bit. All of these people were going to be difficult to get used to. Her short temper and fear weren't helping either."Why don't we relax for a bit, I'll tell you a bit about this place, we should get to know each other some more." He curled and made a loose circle around her. "You know, I think you'll learn to like other people if you just stop being so aggressive towards them first.""I thought we were going to talk about this place, not how I deal with people." She sighed as she sat down and picked at the grass."I also said we should get to know each other." Kire responded in a gentle tone of voice.
leafpelt • 30 April 2013 at 12:36 AM
@whitescales Alexis held on loosely. Argentum looked on, bemused. "Aren't you afraid I'll flip-" she did just that, but dove under and caught the girl. "Like that?" she finished.Alexis turned tense. "Well..."she started. She didn't want to reveal too much emotion. "You'll probably catch me. You want to do it again?" she added, smirking. She looked down. "Hey you guys!" she shouted, trying really hard to be friendly."Come up and flip around!"
ems • 30 April 2013 at 12:45 AM
@whitescales @leafpelt--Storm listened to Kire, who seemed very genuine and kind. She was about to say something when that tail tightened around her again, and soon she was in the air on Djin's back. Storm wrapped her arms around the dragon's neck, hanging on for dear life and whimpering a bit. "Oh, lighten up dear. I promise I won't let you fall. And if you do; I'll catch you!" Djin smiled, speeding up. "Wo-oah!" Storm felt herself slipping a bit, but somehow managed to stay up. "See? Not that bad." The dragon reassured her.Soon enough, Storm had her arms in the air, reaching for the lower clouds, and Djin went higher, letting her rider touch the clouds as little children everywhere dreamed of. Out of habit, Djin ruffled Storm's hair again with her tail. Storm smiled broadly, for once being glad that this wasn't a dream."Leigha! You've got to try this!"
Deleted • 30 April 2013 at 1:05 AM
@leafpelt @emsLeigha looked up at the two flying in the sky, they were flying pretty low then, the dragon flipped. Leighas stomach rolled as the girl fell but was caught again in the blink of an eye. "Please don't ever flip when I'm on your back, ok?" she asked nervously.'"Come up and flip around!"' "I won't. Now," Kire stood and pushed Leigha towards his shoulders, "Let's join them, we'll have fun!" He watched the human climb onto his shoulders and shook his head. "Nuh-uh, the lower back if you're sitting up this time, my wings have to be able to move, your legs will get in the way." "Oh, right." She quickly corrected herself.'"Leigha! You've got to try this!"'"Ready? They're waiting for us.""Right. Just don't let me fall." She gulped slightly."Never." Kire smiled sincerely. They took off before Leigha could say a word. They soared higher than the others at first, Leigha clutched the spike in front of her less tightly as they flew more."Ok we're going to shoot through that cloud and surprise them, be nice this time?" Kire added playfully."I'm not always mean," Leigha mumbled."I know, now let's go!" Kire laughed as they soared headlong into a huge puffy cloud. Leigha was surprised, it felt like a cool fine mist was hugging her from all sides. It felt so nice, she actually smiled a little. As they shot out of the cloud Kire dove past Argentum, "SURPRISE!!!" He roared.
ems • 30 April 2013 at 1:29 AM
@leafpelt @whitescales--Djin and Storm both laughed at Kire as he shot out of the clouds to try and scare Argentum. "If this is a dream, I hope I never wake up!" Storm smiled, hugging Djin's neck. "Well this isn't a dream, so don't you worry!" Djin smiled in turn, picking Storm up with her tail and putting the girl in her claws. Hanging onto the human's shoulders tightly, Djin sped off towards a large lake, where she let Storm skim the water with her feet. It was almost like walking on water. Whooping, Storm laughed like she was a small child all over again. The wind whipped her hair out behind her.
leafpelt • 30 April 2013 at 3:14 AM
@whitescales @ems Argentum jerked back, and snarled. "Watch it!" Unfortunately, she jerked back too much, and once again Alexis fell off. She wasn't prepared this time. She screeched frostily at Kire as she shot down, "If you kill my only rider, I will eat your rider!" Alexis just crossed her arms and looked...cross. "Yeah..I'm not dying so young...Especially in front of any male!" Suddenly, she was on top of Argentum again. "That's it," she rambled, fuming. Argentum was on-key with her too. "Yup.""Payback." Their eyes met as Argentum's head craned back, and a silent exchange passed. They flew around lazily, but Alexis tapped once on Argentum's back. One. Argentum started speeding down and up. Alexis tapped twice. Two.Argentum went in circles, as if looking for prey. Alexis tapped thrice.Three.Holding on tightly, Alexis and Argentum shot up past Kire and Leigha. Revenge and determination was in their eyes. Her hair was loose and blown all the way back. Her wings were pointed and precise, bringing a strong gust of wind with them.
Deleted • 30 April 2013 at 8:17 AM
@ems @leafpelt The gust of wind knocked Kire off balance and drove him backwards so that he was nearly sitting upright in mid-air, Leigha's grip was too loose and she slipped backwards off of Kire's back. "NO!" He cursed.Kire's eyes flicked down at Leighas falling body, he tucked his wings closely to his sides and dove straight down. It took only a few seconds for him to reach her and catch her in his jaws, he pulled out of his dive and snapped his wings open mere inches from the ground. "Mmph mamppphhhht?" Kire inquired."Don't talk with your mouth full, I'm alright Kire." She said as she gripped his horns and pulled herself out of his mouth and onto his neck."You know, they're starting to work better together, they kind of click." He suggested, attempting to hide how angry he was, it didn't work. "Well, let's show them that we make a better team than they do."Leigha growled."My pleasure." Kire grinned wickedly. They shot upwards as fast as a dragons wings could carry them and shot out of a cloud yet again at Argentum and Alexis. This time however Kire emerged with a jet of flame aimed at the other dragons tail. He gained speed and altitude again and flew ahead of them, then spun around abruptly into a circle above the two. "Let this be a warning, we may have to work together but I have a limit to how NICE I'll be." Kire roared as he spun tight circles above.Leigha had a clear view of both the human and dragon below them, if looks could kill, well the morgue would be very rich by now. And it'd be paying Leigha for her business.
ems • 30 April 2013 at 10:21 AM
@leafpelt @whitescales--Storm watched Argentum whosh past Kire vengefully. "Should we stop them?" She asked as Kire's blast of fire lit the skies. Djin continued to float lazily back towards the group. "Nah, it's always best to let them sort things out." The dragon answered, but Storm was still quite worried. "Lighten up dear, they're all alive." Djin laughed, shocking her rider a bit. "Hold on tight, it's time for some tricks!" And with that, Djin set into a set of twists, turns and flips that left Storm queasy.
leafpelt • 30 April 2013 at 7:26 PM
@ems @whitescales Once again, Argentum tilted to the side, avoiding the flame, but Alexis paid a price. She slid sideways, accidentally clawing herself on the scales. Who knew dragon scales could be so sharp?Alexis grabbed on just in time, her side and arm bleeding slightly. Argentum saw her hurt, and growled, "Oh, that's-" But Alexis cut her off."Go parallel up spinning while blowing a colummn of fire. As if we're inside a tornado." she suggested. Argentum grumbled."I'm not a magic act." But she did so anyways, murmuring, "Hold on."Alexis rolled her eyes. "Injured side here, can't balance vertically that well." she muttered. But she also did what Argentum asked. They shot up, creating a spectacle of flame, and as Argentum leveled out, she sat up looked straight in the eye of Kire."You shocked me off first...but, the same goes for you," she murmured calmly, although her voice had taken on a dangerous and deattached tone. "My first loyalty is to my dragon. Always." "And vise versa," Argentum had an evil look in her eyes."Although," she continued, standing up, "Isn't it better to do some training TOGETHER if we're going to fight this...evil army?" She started to put her arms to her sides, but then recalling her injury, thought better of it. She lay them against her sides instead.

@leafpelt @ems Leigha noticed Alexis favoring her arm, there was a little red seeping through her shirt. She pursed her lips, crap, their scuffle went too far. "How about we land first, I have a first aid kit in my bag you can borrow. Then if you like, maybe we can spar a bit? Since we seem to be doing that already, that is." Kire smiled, "Well you have certainly gotten fond of each other. Very well, our loyalties are settled." His eyes twinkled in an amused fashion. "Let's get going," He tucked his wings in again and dove quickly toward the ground and snapped his wings open a few feet from the ground like before, then landed waiting for the others to follow.
ems • 30 April 2013 at 7:54 PM
@leafpelt @whitescales--Djin was flying upside down as she noticed the scuffle die down. "Finally," She muttered. Storm felt her stomach turn. "Djin... Can we land now?" She rasped. "Alright..." The dragon conceded, flipping rightside up and coming for a landing next to Kire. Storm hopped off, stumbling a bit before face-planting again. "I'm not ever leaving the ground again." She moaned sarcastically, her words muffled by the grass.

@ems @leafpelt Kire grinned at the girl, "But isn't flying so much fun?""It sure beats walking." Leigha agreed. "How much do you know about fighting, Kire?""Lots." The smug grin on his face quickly turned serious, "But you always have to remember when to stop. Fighting out of anything but defense is wrong.""Then what was that?" Leigha sighed, thinking of how quickly her anger had drained."Practice of course, do you expect me to let you just sit on my back while I do all the fighting? We need to learn together so that our movements will be in sync, otherwise we'll be in big trouble." Kire was still so serious, it was almost worrying."What about you, Storm? How much do you know about it?" Leigha asked quietly.
ems • 30 April 2013 at 8:24 PM
@whitescales @leafpelt--Storm laughed. "Yeah, it is." She smiled at Kire. Leigha's question entere her mind though, and she sighed, slightly embaressed. "Well, back home I did get in quite a few scuffles. Nothing serious. My mom wanted to put me into a self-defense class, but I refused to go... Suppose it wasn't a half-bad idea after all." She chuckled nervously. "I guess you could say little to nothing then." SHe shrugged. "I know a bit about punches. If you don't do it right; you'll hurt yourself rather than your opponent." Djin nodded. "Don't worry, we'll teach you guys anyhow. We should start real soon though."

@ems @leafpeltLeigha shifted her weight from one leg to the other, "You're not the only one who's fought before then, the kids in high school hated me. I wish I had formal training though, that would make things a lot easier." She started to dig through her bag for her First-Aid kit, she found it at the bottom and pulled it out."If only you guys could breath fire, then we'd REALLY be able to teach you a few to fight." He laughed "A tail couldn't hurt either."
leafpelt • 1 May 2013 at 12:33 AM
@whitescales @ems Argentum shot down again, this time landing as gently she could. "Fighting and war," she said, dropping in the middle of the conversation. "Is unfortunately, it's a necessary evil." she finished grimly.Alexis was intrigued and..embarrassed on the other hand. She dropped down, already feeling better."To be honest, I had a pretty easy life. Self-training, but for fun. Reading up on battle strategies...mostly for self-enjoyment.""Say," she quipped. "Isn't Argentum Latin?" she continued, raising one eyebrow slighly.Argentum nodded. "That is correct. It means silver." she replied. Her stomach growled loudly, and she looked abashed.Alexis smirked slightly, attempting to hide a small smile. . "I think we should eat first," she said to no one in particular.
Deleted • 1 May 2013 at 1:07 PM
@leafpelt @ems Kire laughed, "I'm hungry too, maybe first we should teach out humans the right way to hunt. There are plenty of deer and moose this time of year in the forest, maybe we'll be lucky enough to get a bear this time."Leigha remembered how long ago the pizza seemed in her mind and her stomach growled as well. "Oh, quiet you." She glared down at her own stomach. "Meat is fine and all, but humans also need fruits and vegetables in their diet. Are there any wild onions, maybe a berry bush that's safe to eat the fruit from anywhere around here?" She instantly wished she had her pocket knife on her as it would have made food preparation so much easier."There are lots of blueberries down by the lake," Kire explained, "I saw some cranberries in a bog not too far from that too. Maybe we should take turns getting different things done, two of us go to the lake to get fruit, two hunt for all of the meat and two get a cook fire started and find a suitable place to camp-out for the night."
leafpelt • 2 May 2013 at 4:34 AM
@whitescales @emsAlexis perked up, already forgetting that she was supposed to be bandaging up. "I'll volunteer for hunting. Once I find some sort of sharp tool...."Argentum snorted. "And you know how to hunt?" Alexis hesitated. "Not really. I mean, I tried archery once, but that was camp. Do you have any dragon scales?""Oh, come on," Argentum insisted. "Aren't you scared? You've been flung into another society, flown up high, injured, fell off and went plummeting towards the ground TWICE, been threatened by me, started turning blue, and you still don't want to peacefully pick berries? Much easier, you know."Alexis had to just blink. "Boring.....waay too boring. I'm not going to pick berries in the forest and sing to the birds. Try another day." she added on dryly. "So, dragon scales?" she prompted."What would you need that for?" Argentum said, her teeth clenched. "I'm not shedding just so you could use it... for whatever you're doing. " Her stomach grumbled again. "I meant old ones, stuff like-oh, just tell me if you hav any or not.""....I have loose ones here." Argentum nodded towards to her tail. "Just pu-OWW NOT LIKE THAT." She roared, annoyed.Alexis looked sheepish, but still had that infuriating blank mask on her face. She tried again, pulling it another way. Luckily, this time it came out. Still, Argentum was indignant. "How would you like it if I slow-roasted you?""No thanks. I've already been slow-roasted today. If you want slow-roast, do it to your tail."

@leafpelt @ems @aizel @shadowheart3 @april__Kire blinked innocently at Alexis,"What's wrong with birds? They have pretty good conversations you know.""I forgot you could talk to birds. How's your friend doing?" Leigha inquired while taking out a tube of antibiotic ointment. "Alexis, you should at least put some of this on it if you don't want to use bandages. An infection wouldn't be very helpful right now." She handed it to her then shouldered her pack, "We'll take the berries, I can just stick them all in one of my bags pouches anyways." "Well, we won't see Wisteria if it's night time, so we should get going soon. Besides visiting I want to see if there's any more news of those Searchers she mentioned before." He stood and stretched his wings, "Well, let's go!" He said with enthusiasm. "Sure. Guys don't use all of that ointment, I don't know when I'll be able to get more of it." She warned as she climbed onto Kire's back. They took off and circled the group a few times before gliding towards the cranberry bog.
ems • 2 May 2013 at 8:27 PM
@leafpelt @whitescales--Storm watched Kire fly off with Leigha, before glancing at Alexis. "I guess that's means we're starting the fire. Easy enough." She said sort of quietly. "I'll go get some wood." She trudged off towards a more wooded area, Djin following. "Hey, don't you want a ride?""No silly, I'm just getting wood. It's not far anyways. Besides, I'm sort of afraid of those tricks.""Bah! Your stomach's too weak.""Your point being? I could use the excercise as well." Their voices began to fade as they continued on."Whatever." Djin laughed. "See? Almost there. Rather than waste our time by just bickering, I've been walking too. You'd be more likely to sit and argue." Storm mocked jokingly. "You...!" Djin burst into laughter, Storm looking back at her with a raised eyebrow. "What? Come on, let's get some fire wood; then you can show me some awesome fire breath!"

@ems @leafpelt"Look I found some good ones in the deeper water!" Kire stood on his hind legs sifting through the warm bog water for the bright red berries. He tossed a few in his mouth before adding the rest of the handful to the bag made out of a towel and Leigha's shoestrings. The berries were tasty even if they were on the bitter side, but blueberries would be so much better."That's great. I would come over there but I'd end up soaked." Leigha called over from the shallows."Hey, how much more can your bag hold? This thing around my neck is almost full and it's dripping on me!" He started back towards Leigha, trying hard not to squish his feet too far down into the mud."I think we have enough for tonight and maybe two days after that. How much do you think you and the others eat?" Leigha asked."That depends on if they want to eat them or not, I like the taste of them but we don't have to eat them as much as you do to survive." He replied. "We should get going, we still need to get the blueberries.""Right." Leigha put the berries from Kires bag into her backpack and they started walking towards the lake where the blueberries grew.
leafpelt • 2 May 2013 at 11:31 PM
@whitescales @ems Alexis muttered, "I have nothing against birds, but I rather be in a battlefield if the need arises."Alexis quickly treated her wounds. She gave a sideways glance at Argentum. "Do you...have anything that will benefit the group?" she said, gesturing towards the dragon scale.Argentum glared. "Not any coming from me," she snarled. She then added in a calmer voice, "I have some claws, scales, stuff like that. Leftovers from meals, scuffles, and...life. Hang on," She flew off towards her cave.Alexis sat down and examined the single scale she had. Absently reaching for a rock with one hand, she breathlessly fingered the jagged edges with the other. "If I could..."she said quietly, deep in thought.
ems • 3 May 2013 at 12:01 AM
@whitescales @leafpelt--Djin nodded, stiffling more laughter. Together the rider and dragon began to collect sticks and branches in preperation for a bonfire of sorts for later that evening. "Trust me, the bigger the fire; the less often we'll see monsters trying to stalk us." Djin said, and Storm shuddered. "I'd rather not waste energy defending myself..." Storm agreed as she picked more good wood for the cooking fire.At last, when the duo could carry no more; they headed back off to the lille 'camp' they had. The wood pile was larger than Storm had thought it's be, but maybe that was partly because a ten-foot tall dragon had helped her. "Alright, I'll get the pit set up." Storm noted, but before she could begin to dig, Djin cut a large hole in the ground with her paw. "I grabbed some rocks." SHe told Storm, dropping at least 20 stones in front of the girl before helping her put them around the pit. "Err, thanks." Storm laughed nervously, throwing a large sum of sticks in without bothering to set them up. A pile of wood was a pile of wood; no matter how you piled it up, as Storm would've put it."There... Care to light it?" Storm looked expectantly at Djin.
leafpelt • 3 May 2013 at 12:49 AM
@whitescales @ems Alexis glanced up momentarily. "Start off slow," she advised. "Who knows when the others will be back." She grabbed a sharp rock from nearby and started scratching it down on the scale. It crumbled. Then again, it was pretty crumbly in the first place."No. That won't work..." she muttered. She looked up at the skies, waiting for Argentum to come back.Argentum traveled to her cave-luckily, not too long of a flight- and grabbed parts of her junk pile and soared back to Alexis, who was waiting for her. Then she flew back and did the same again. And again."Enough?" she huffed, after carrying for the 5th time. She was low on energy, maybe enough for one flight.Alexis didn't look up. "Yeah, for now. You should hunt first. After all, you probably are tired from carrying all that." She should say so, since it had made a sizable pile besides her. "And catching you," Argentum muttered, barely audible. She flew off, towards the mountains. A lion sounded good right about now.

@leafpelt @ems Kire and Leigha came upon the lake just as the sun was setting. The water glowed a fiery pink and gold as they sat picking handful after handful of blueberries. "You know, I could really get used to living here. It's all so beautiful..." A ripe blueberry found its way from her pile into her mouth, "It's like everything is untouched, kind of how it's supposed to be.""Plenty of things touch this place, you see what you look for." He pointed down at an ant that had made its way up his tail, "Take this little guy for example, he cuts grass all day, harvests seeds and carries it all to a home he probably helped to build. This place isn't untouched at all, but it's still in balance." He ate a few blueberries."I never thought of it like that..." She picked at a stem that had come off with a berry. The sun started to disappear behind the trees on the far side of the lake."We should finish up here, dark will be falling soon." He put the rest of the berries in the bag and handed it to Leigha. She climbed onto his back and as they were taking off mumbled to herself. "It's still a wonderful place...""And that's how we want to keep it. This is what we're protecting." And with that, they took off back towards the camp.
