I'm curious, this hasn't happened to me yet.

But if someone suddenly changes their mind about a trade, do you trade back? Do you think it's polite to trade back? Do you think it's rude to not?

Or do you think once a trade is made, if that person decides to keep it, would you frown upon that if the other person changed their mind?

@april__

I, though I've never done it, don't do trade backs. Once in my cove, I consider them mine. So I don't see it as being rude if the other person wants them back and I don't trade them back.

@bubblez

I'd never ask someone to trade back, and I can understand some people asking for trade backs. But when they get mad at the person for not wanting to do it, I find that a little rude.

I think it's extremely rude to ask for your pet back at all. A trade is a trade. Once the trade is complete, the new pets you acquired are officially yours, unless like the two of you are friends and you're babysitting or something like that.

I think it's weird for people who are quitting to give away their pets, yet one of their stipulations is you have to give the pet back if they return. I think that's silly - either keep your pets or don't.

Anyway. That's what I think. 😋

@thursdays_dove

I definitely agree with all that you said.

Especially the quitting thing. What if they quit for over a year? And you really don't want to hold the pet anymore. V_V

Or what if you want to quit? It's silly.

@thursdays_dove Agreed, I don't trade much at all anymore, but I do remember people asking for tradebacks. I found it extremely rude, but I always did reverse it for them... after making a note not to trade with them again. 😉

My favorite are those trades where users request that you never trade the creatures you receive and then end up trading yours. 😋

@april__

It hasn't happen to me yet, that somebody would want to trade back. I did trade a creature waaaay below it's value once but I din't ask for more or trade back since it was a mistake on my part cuz I didn't look into the value more. I also got a better offer when I already finished the trade and I told the person that they were unfortunately too late. So I don't think it's polite to ask for a trade back.

I mostly do trade too keep creatures but I don't expect others to keep creatures from me. There isn't that much to do on here then trade.

@april__ : Yes, this has happened to me before, sadly I gave in on one, the other I stood my ground and didn't trade back. I hate trading, the thought of being ripped off or the person wanting a trade back is too much for me lol.

I hate trading here for the most part. Never been asked to trade back. All these stipulations people demand would not happen if people would stop giving in to them.

I've had someone ask me for a trade-back once... It was over a year after the person and I had made the trade, and I really regret giving the critter back.
I normally wouldn't have traded it back, but I felt like I'd be branded as a bad person if I didn't. *sigh*
