Long ago, during the prehistoric ages, a strange race of alien creatures called 'Incubators' entered the Earth. Their goal was simple - utilizing pubescent girls as war tools in order to gather energy which would ultimately save the universe from entropy - a scientific phenomenon which discussed the loss of energy due to the disproportionate energy between energy used to create something and energy that the item gives off. For example, it takes a lot more energy to grow a tree than the amount of energy it gives off as it is being burnt. Thus, energy is lost.

The way that these adolescent girls were used was that they were granted one wish, and, in return, they would have to fight witches. This wish would produce a Soul Gem - the source of all their magic. The girls would replenish these by using Grief Seeds - what is left of a defeated witch.

But there was a twist.

Soul Gems are actually the girls' souls being ripped out of their bodies, and placed into a 'container' so that they would be more versatile for fighting, and they can get corrupted by both overuse of magic and negative emotional overload. Grief Seeds only delay the inevitable. When the soul gem reaches its limit, then it will become a Grief Seed, the girl herself becoming a witch. It produces a lot of energy, so they say, so girls whose fates contain an uncommon amount of grief are chosen to be 'Puella Magi'.

You don't know that yet.

You only know a small white creature is standing in front of you, with two sets of ears and a red teardrop outline on its back. Its name is Kyuubey. It wants to grant you a wish, a contract for you to become a Puella Magi.

Name: Caroline Markley
Description: A fairly tall young 14 year old who has black hair winding down in a curl, and deep green eyes. With transformed, she wears a shirt-like Qipao, green with golden trim, as well as green armwarmers and flats with ribbon around them. She also dons a green skirt, also with golden trim.
Wish: To be able to control minds, and exercise her own in order to do actions within reality (with control, it means that she can edit people's subconscious desires as well as outrightly controlling them)
Powers gained as a side effect of the wish: Telekinesis
Primary weapon: Spoons which shoot out of her armwarmers (the buttons on her Qipao are also bombs, of which can be spawned from the spoons)
Color of Soul Gem: Green
Experience as a Puella Magi: Quite experienced

Basically, the familiars are your accompanies as a witch - you control them, and basically they're your army comprised of many of a single type of creature

Witch type and nature: Butterfly witch with a possessive nature
Barrier: The maze is made up to look like a giant butterfly garden. Many of the walls are hedged with thick green plants and obnoxiously colorful flowers. Light spills in from above, but it's overbearing and harsh. Glass boxes are all around, hung from the walls or displayed on tables or even cracked on the floor. They house a number of items. Most common are pressed, lifeless butterfly specimens, but along with them are cosmetic items like makeup brushes, shiny wooden toys, and much more. Some boxes hold nothing but mirrors, reflecting the passersby with wide open eyes and splayed limbs, as if they're on display.
Familiars: Known as Satyrinae. They look like butterflies with long spider-arms ending in massive, spindly hands. Their duty is to capture and collect anything that has a trace of human life to it--or butterfly wing scales that their master drops. They all have chains around each of their wrists.
Powers: Her primary attack is to whip up the air with her wings to scatter the Puella Magi's weapons and make them lose their footing. This also kicks up loose scales that can cut and slash as they fly around. She lashes out with either her curly tongue or extendable antennae when her enemies appear to be vulnerable. Caligoatrea is large, so a Puella Magi could get stomped on if she's not careful.
Second form? If under great stress, she will shed every single one of her scales to reveal mirror wings underneath. These are more vulnerable, but she can use them to reflect light and blind attackers, as well as fly more quickly.
