We is good to go! I'll start 😸

Caroline casually strolled across the long aisles of the corridor, wait her soul gem in hand, glowing slightly to alert her of the presence of a witch.

"Interesting... I never knew that witches appeared in this area..."

The building she was in was an abandoned office block, which was about to be demolished in favor of a new shopping mall. The area wasn't particularly well-known for witches, as it was quite close to the main city, where there was much joy.

"At least, I think there's much joy in the city."

It was very gloomy where Aevelia was. She was being chased by a witch. The witch cackled. But Aevelia screamed. She hoped some one would come help her. She tripped on an above ground tree root. She didn't fall though. The witch came closer and Aevelia screamed more.

Sam heard a scream.

He didn't care who it was or why, he just knew he was going to help.

He quickly transformed and took off in the direction of the scream, praying he was not too late.

"Oh, there's someone already to it."

Caroline muttered to herself, a nonchalant expression painted on her face.

"I suppose I'll let them have it, then."

With a slight twirl, she jumped off the office building, and landed gracefully.

"Perhaps there is another witch elsewhere?"

Spotting a barrier, Caroline threw her soul gem into the air, transforming into her Asian-esque costume.

"I suppose I'll be off, then."

Witches don't roam around freely. Wherever their grief seed hatches, they construct a giant labyrinth and hide themselves in the middle. For a Puella Magi to be chased by a witch, they would first have to enter into the witch's domain and find their way into the center, fighting through familiars and the labyrinth barriers. Witches don't enjoy being found or destroyed. Sometimes they will bait humans into entering their labyrinth, like H. N. Elly (aka Kirsten) did with Hitomi and some other humans, but normally they just wait for people to wander in.

Sam heard another scream. He had to save whoever it was that was being frightened like this

He hated fear. He always had. That's why he made the wish for safety--he didn't want anyone to fear anymore, ever.

When he reached the source of the screams, he discovered quite a scene. A girl was cornered by a fierce-looking witch.

"I'll save you!" Sam shouted.

He fired a few bolts at the witch, stunning it. He ran over to the girl. She looked shaken up, but was mostly unhurt.

"Let's get you out of here," he said.

"No problem!" Sam smiled.

He turned to the witch, who obviously wasn't waiting around for introductions. That would have to wait for later.

"Hey, you have spells or something, right? Let's kill this thing!"

Sam ran in close to the witch and started slashing. This one was relatively weak, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to defeat it.

Inside the labyrinth of darkness and despair wandered a small child. Or rather, adolescent of age 14. She, like a few, though unknown, others, was a Puella Magi. Nothing laid upon her head other than her rough and dry black hair, which reached only a bit below her shoulder line. This short little lady was just about 5 foot 1. She is often quite shy and hesitant to be aggressive. Despite this, she had made a contract with a little white creature named Kyuubey to become a magical girl. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Her timid nature clashes with the duty of a Puella Magi. Though she finds herself and claims to be clumsy and dumb, she was actually like the average adolescent.

The female's heart was pounding of fear. Although with her boosted vision, it was still very hard to make out anything in this darkness clouded over with the sadness and grief of this particular witch.

Suddenly, a slash! Familiars of this witch had almost maimed her left hand. Startled, she instinctively yelped and threw her boomerang. As usual, she had missed. The familiars hissed in pieces, as if cracking up with laughter. They rose in height when suddenly, smack! The boomerang had been thrown and curved right back to hit the outlines of the snakes. She had almost missed catching her boomerang. The door to the center of this wretched maze laid before her, as she was using her sense of touch to replace her sight.

Her breath shook. "I-I'm going to fight, and make it through. I-I'll live to see tomorrow!" She whispered. She was determined, but yet hesitant. What would happen if she had died? She looked at her soul gem that seemed to be weaved and attached to her right hand when transformed. The yellow-green light was a bit dim and lighted up only what was in right in front of her. "What... does happen?" She sighed out. "What happens if a Puella Magi's soul gem darkens to a point where it can't stand?" She pictured herself going mentally insane, slaughtering every human on sight, then--.... Then being... killed. Tears welling up in her eyes, she shook them away. "N-No. I can't. A Puella Magi's duty is to protect what is left from the witches." She recited quietly. Grasping the marked knob, she turned, and what was inside had surprised her more than wishes coming true.

@hayz

Caroline spotted a barrier, tucked away within a forest, its foliage providing the barrier sufficient protection from the human eye. Tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, she leaped off the nature reserve sign, providing a graceful landing in front of the barrier, without losing her footing.

The door was already open, she noticed. Somebody was already there, but, a quick peek into the barrier decided that whoever was in there might be having a hard time. It was a maze barrier, and the witch must be in the middle.

The occasional familiar pranced around, however, Caroline simply swept them away with her spoons, before letting a bomb roll down her armwarmers to finish off these familiars. She decided that these familiars looked pretty weak, but that must've been since somebody else was already in there.

"Or had been..."

She muttered to herself, approaching the center.

"Who's there?"

Caroline asked, using her telepathic powers. How funny it was, the girl who could've made everything happen simply wished for ultimate control of mentality. She could make anyone go insane.

Then again, she could die because of it.

Or already has.
