He looked Shira in the eyes, shaking his head, "No, it's not. You could really hurt yourself badly if you keep doing it. Who told you it was okay?"

"But... I was always told that I should. They always told me that I was supposed to do that. I was never told why, and I never saw anybody else doing it, but they always told me too..." Shira trailed off, looking at the blood that covered her wrist.
Frost just sat in silence, freely browsing Shira's memories.

"Well, you don't have to anymore." He informed her, "From now on, you don't have to hurt yourself, okay?" He smiled, hoping that she would be okay with their little truce.

Fyre returned quietly with the food, and ate in silence while Storm picked at her food. Fyre sighed, "Are you going to eat?" Storm shook her head, and Fyre laughed. "You are the weirdest person I've ever met." Storm started laughing too, and soon the awkward air was gone, and the demon and girl started to enjoy themselves.

After they ate, they went out into the streets for a little walk.

"But I was always told to it. That's the one thing they always told me to do. They said that was the one thing expected of me, that they didn't care what else I did. It's... okay? Not to hurt myself?" Shira shook her head vigerously, still utterly confused.
Frost's eyes widened in shock as she browsed Shira's childhood memories.

Kai nods, "Yes. It's okay not to hurt yourself. You're safe..." He looked up to Frost. The demon looked scared and maybe a little surprised, but why?

'She found out about the girl's past.' Fira answered.

"Is it... really? They always told me that I was supposed to hurt myself, that bleeding was good for me, that I was special and they wanted me to be healthy... They weren't lying, were they?" Shira asked, not willing to give up on what she had always been told. She had been ridiculed, teased, told to hurt herself all her life... Were they really wrong?
Frost's lips parted a bit as she sifted through everything that made up Shira's mind.

@Kurochi-Akuma Well, you're awfully popular, aren't you? I've nearly been pinged to death before.

@whitefire - It slowed up a bit, but yea. Not fun. ^^ lol

He pulled her into a hug, frowning. Poor girl. What kind of life did she live before all of this? It must've been hard for her. He couldn't help be feel sorry for her. He mumbled, "Yes, they were...I know it's hard to understand, but life is a lot nicer then just pain and hurt, trust me."

'What am I doing?' He thought, 'I can barely coach myself through stuff like this and now I'm trying to convince her that it's okay?'

Fira smiled inside him, 'You should give yourself more credit, you seem to be handling this situation relatively normal.'

'Yea...there's nothing normal about this...'

Shira blushed when she was suddenly hugged. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried not to cry.
"Really?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
Frost looked on, face still frozen in a shocked expression.
"You're the first person who's ever been nice to her. She's always tried to be strong, but always followed the twisted delusions of others, who thought it would be funny to see her cry. Her mother... Shira's memories are vague, but her father left and her mother was very poor. She did her best to get Shira a life of education in a school. It wasn't a very good one, but it was all she could do before she... passed. The last thing she told Shira was to do what the teachers said... and they told her to hurt herself. They told her she was worthless... they never cared for her, and they didn't pay for her orphanage. They made her live in an alleyway. Poor girl..." Frost trailed off with a sad note in her voice.

He squeezed his eyes shut and looked away. It was hard to stomach. People are cruel. He knew they were before, but never like this...never this violent. "Let's be friends." He said to the innocent girl, smiling. He needed to get his mind off the thoughts in his head. He needed to feel better inside. "I...don't know where we are or what has happened to us and even why they were so mean to you, but I do know we can be friends and stick together to help eachother out. You know?"

I sat and listened to the arguing between other hosts and the 'god' man. "When will they learn it's not all about escaping?" I ask Glyre.
"Honestly I don't know." She replied. "But I do know a way that could help you to see partly at least." She added.
"Is my sight or your sight Glyre?" I demand.

"Friends?" she said. "Yes, can we?"
Frost looked away, happy for the not-so-psycho girl who would be her host.

"Okay fine!" she said, walking over and slapping his back playfully, grinning broadly.

He let out a cough, then laughed a little. What are the odds? Never in a million years did he expect to be in this situation, even if it was in plain sight. He looked down at her wrist he still had in his hand. "Let's go get this cleaned up and figure out where we are, okay?"

He led her out of the allyway and around the city, looking for a source of clean water to clean him and her off from the blood. He stopped at a water fountain outside a food place. "Okay...it may sting." He warned her, placing her wrist under the cold water and washing it off.

Storm and Fyre had just walked out of Burgerville, when they saw Shira and Kai washing Shira's wrist in a fountain. "Hey, is everything ok?" Storm asked worriedly, running up to the fountain with Fyre at her heels.

I hea voices and turn to hear Storm and two other people. "There." I say to Glyre even thought she would be following me. I sprint over in time to hear Storm ask "'Is everything ok?"
"It dose'nt seem that way." I mutter tasting blood in the air.

Shira winced slightly as the water poured over her wrist, mingling with the blood and trickling down the drain to be re-filtered and replaced, though she didn't try to pull away.
Frost stood behind them, hovering worriedly and out of her nature over Shira, who seemed fascinated with the lightening color of her blood.

He looked around him at everyone who suddenly surrounded him and Shira. 'Guess we didn't go too far from the place.' He figured, from the amount of them.

"Uhh...Yea. Sorta. Just had a small incident. It's fine now, though." He shrugged the question off like it was nothing. Shira's secret, if it was a secret, was safe with him. He pulled her wrist from the water.

'Something to wrap it up with...hmm...Well, I didn't like it anyways.'

With that, he bit his shirt sleeve and ripped a piece of cottom off and carefully wrapped it around her wrist. "There. All better." He smiled at Shira, letting her wrist go.

I fell another presence as Glyre shouts out "Frost!" I feel a strange cold sensation seeping into my body as I feel Glyre walk out nad stand next to Frost.

"I heard that." Storm growled to Tusami. Turning to Kai, she sighed with relief. "Oh good." She smiled. Storm was still worried, but didn't mention it. If Kai was keeping something from them, Storm was confident that it was for a good reason. "Well, I probably should get going..." She murmured, and on impulse, hugged Kai, Shira and Tusami, before waving to the demons. "Bye!" She smiled, and she and Fyre set off again.

Shira examined her bandaged wrist before turning and smiling at Kai.
"Thanks!" she said.
She turned to look at Frost, who was ushering the bystanders away from the fountain. "Nothing to see here, folks, nothing at all!" she shouted, waving her arms incessantly.
"Look, Frost--" she was cut off as an old scar that had never properly healed was scraped against a wall, leaving traces of blood on the warm tan bricks.
"I was afraid of that," Frost sighed, examining the other scars that covered Shira's arms. "And you have more on your body, don't you?"

Storm walked around with Fyre. Without thinking, the demon grabbed her hand, but Storm didn't seem to mind as they strolled through the quiet streets.

He watched as Storm left just as fast as she came. 'Weird girl...'

He looked back over at Frost and Shira's conversation, seeing Frost examine Shira's body for more scars. 'Why do I have to have a weak stomach now?' He thought as it twisted under his skin. He wasn't normally so sick at seeing grusome things, but the sadness he felt along with it did him in.

He looked around at the place they were at, not reconizing anything to tell him where his house was. This was going to be a long night.

Shira walked back over to the fountain and rinsed her old scar, watching as the bloody water trickled down the drain. She yawned, looking around for a bench or anything to sleep on.
Frost groaned at Shira's thought of sleeping on a park bench, wishing they had a better place to go.
