This is a good idea. Maybe there should also be a way for the action log to completely clear all activities after a week or a month unless if the user clears everything from their log.

@kamoodle5 Thank you c: The thing is if there's a big problem concerning an old creature or something, then the user would have to refer back to the action log. I do agree with the fact that we need to clear out the action log every so often, I just don't know when ._. Ian will probably have to expand on this idea.

@kollais I agree 😸 Just cross fingers in hope that the server doesn't crash >.<

@Karamel Thanks! But I absolutely sucked. That was only a practice test, too... There were a bunch of problems, of which I only managed to answer somewhere between 10-15. Probably less than that. And I KNOW some of that stuff, too! And I still couldn't answer it...

@Karamel Definitely updated in real time. After all, if you are the pinger (again I am bringing this up) then you'd want to be able to assure your friend right away that you did/did not ping them correctly.
Clearing it, I'd probably say no. Well, maybe, but only one event at a time, rather than "Clear today's activities." Or maybe you could check boxes for each event you want to delete, like in an e-mail, then hit delete and clear all of the checked events. But my problem is, what if you wanted to find that event again? Like if you traded with somebody, accidentally deleted the event, and wanted to thank the person who you traded with but ever-so-conveniently forgot their name? It's a small thing, but still. Perhaps you could only clear an event after the following midnight?
And perhaps you can star events of the most importance? I was thinking that maybe if you had traded away an important creature without realizing it, and needed to refer to that event a lot, you could star it so that it would always appear in the top of your log, and you could check it more easily. You could maybe have 10 events starred. They wouldn't have to be from that day, like with a trading scenario in which you traded your creature away three days before. And you could unstar events when you were finished using them, possibly?

@whitefire I definitely agree with everything 😋 I'm not sure about the starring though... Maybe we could search for it or filter the log so that we could find the trade or post (etc) logs?

@Karamel If you weren't already thinking this, perhaps it could also keep track of what creatures and what time you stole from the Cave? And also which ones you've renamed? Because I keep being surprised when my creature-count increases by one or two, and it takes me a while to remember that "Oh, I stole Ura the Wynerl today," or "Oh, I just adopted a Luciales." It kinda scares me, because I rarely visit the Cave. Lately I have, seeking Mo's, but that's it. It wouldn't keep track of "You found a Mo, but decided not to steal it," (I accidentally did that a few days ago! I smacked myself really hard for it.) only the creatures you stole and when you visited the Cave/Asteroid.

@whitefire I did think of that 😋 The log would collect information about what you've adopted, stolen, released, bought, posted, etc (as I said, I'd make a huge list but... xD)

It wouldn't log what creatures you found in the Cave because that's just pointless xD Just creatures you've stolen/found 😸

It sorta acts like an online receipt so that Eggcave staff knows who had what and who was tell the true.

I think the only downside is, like you said, server trouble and also more work on the mods/Ian.

But it is a great idea. 😊
