"Yeah being a vampire may have it's pro's, it does have its cons. Seeing the people you love die while you live on and grieve for them." Emma sighed. "My parents actually weren't ever that nice so I don't have that many issues with that." Emma saw the vampire look away, so she turned into a bat and went searching for a seat. As she flew she was starting to feel worse and worse until she eventually had to change back and lean against a wall.

The young man followed her, now considering her response. He'd been expecting more of an emotion reaction, an angry reply, or even the slightest bit of annoyance. The fact that there wasn't one simply meant that he had to keep a closer eye on her than he'd hoped-any vampire could easily make a story seem believable, especially if they were blessed with the ability of charm or good looks, which Darius was himself.
Darius followed her, not bothering to sit next to her, or even ask what was wrong. Although, as the silence dragged on, the stillness of the room nagged at him, and he acquired the urge to make small conversation.
"So, what's wrong with you? Bad case of vertigo?" he remarked, watching the girl carefully.
He continued to sip on the blood, and felt delight at the fact that is was rushing through his veins, warming his body, starting up his organs, and slowly turning his skin less pale, and into the dark tan he faintly remembered once having. The fact that the blood was human made it all the much better-animal blood following through human veins was a bit of a weird feeling, if he had to admit it.
Suddenly, Darius found himself catching the folder as it was thrown at him.
"What? What is so important that we have to accomplish?" Darius questioned Delaih as she came back into the room.

@fuzzykins412 Sorry.

"Hmph." A figure sat down on a black throne. "Cassandra!" His voice was deep as he called for one of his servants. The dark lord was one who chuckled at the hanging of his enemies. Death feared him, he did not fear death.

It's fine.

--------
Cassandra heard her name called. 'Finally!' A voice muttered in her head, and she walked over, holding her head high. "Yes, my lord?" She asked quietly, bowing. Her eyes lifted up and glanced at the lord, then quickly flew back down. Her pink and blonde hair was tied up the usual way, two ponytails, and a skinny black headband resting on her head. Her clothes were the same, too, a black skin-tight shirt that showed off her slim figure, and a pair of faded black skinny jeans.

Cassandra's eyes once again lifted up the the Dark Lord's face, and she held her gaze, the tips of her eyelashes almost brushing her eyelid. She shifted around nervously, not sure of what the Dark Lord would ask her to do.

The dark lord saw Cassandra come in and a smirk came upon his face. "Cassandra, I want you go find the headquarters of the rebels. Now, listen, many have failed this mission and have not come back yet."

~~~
Dahlia frowned, "Heck if I know! I mean this stupid, he knows that I would never work with you. I should turn you into a toad you know." The witch said narrowing her eyes.
Cassandra nodded, a bit of fear in her eyes. Never come back? Did they die? "Yes sir." She said in an effort to keep her voice from trembling, then turned and walked out, trying to look like a casual teen, one on the rebels side. She walked into a place that looked happier, with more sun and all, and groaned. "What sort of mission is this?" She muttered to herself, rolling her eyes.
"Nah. I just haven't gotten enough blood in. As I said its been hard to find little critters. And the one I was about to finish off got away. That makes 3 weeks without blood. I eat other things but you know. Blood is the best thing for a vampire." Emma said slowly inching down the wall to sitting down. Her skin was almost white, even though she was very pale normally she had never been this pale. She was panting and her eyes were fixed on the bottle, dark red blood sloshing as it slowly trickled down Darius's throat. She licked her lips but suddenly stopped her urge to attack him.
Slowly she closed her eyes trying to get her mind off blood. A memory came to her mind. It was that first day she drank blood. She had left for school, each of her parents had been extra mushy gushy. After the boring day of school had ended she came home. 'Mom? Dad?' she called. There was no response so she went looking. When she came back there was a glass on the table with a note. She read it and downed the glass. The red liquid was bitter but delicious. That was it, she blacked out and about a month later she was craving blood. Emma opened her eyes and saw the others staring at her.
@taffy789 Sankyou, but really, mine is crap xD
--------
The skeleton-like figure stumbled away from his sunlight sanctuary when said rays of pearlescence began stinging his eyes, as predicted. He awaited for the scolding tones to surface in his head, seep obscenities on his half conscious mind. The threats never came, however, causing him to worry more than be relieved. Short and strict insults were always present, so why disappear now...?
Odd.
Frowning lightly, he paused in a feral position, arms folded by his sides, back hunched over and ears, alert. He stood in silence for a while, but neither a faint sound, nor even a spiteful whisper reached him.
Were they gone...?
Yes... for the moment.
Glancing downwards, his gold eyes caught a slight waver of his shadows, all limbs of it extending unnaturally longer. The dark shadow on the ground stretched further, reaching across from the bars of the cell and crawling down the hallway, splitting in two at one point, both ends of the shadow advancing toward the throne room.
Slipping underneath the closed door, the slits of black rushed to inch onto the Dark Lord's throne, over his shoulder and settled next to him.
~All hail the Dark Lord
One began humbly.
-All hail! All hail!
~Master is so kind and giving.
-Yes, very, so kind!
~Would master be kind to us?
-Kind to him, kind to us...
~He lurks...
-He wants.
~His hands itch for crimson.
-His throat craves for blood.
~His eyes seek.
-His mind breaks.
~He wants to kill.
-He wants to kill.
~Let him kill master...
-Yes, let him.
~He wants to.
-Not us, he.
~Not us...
-No...
The voice swirled around in his head, penetrating the sane thoughts he still bared. Clutching his head, he let out a whail of desperation.
They wanted him to kill again. They wanted to. Not him. No...
The dark lord acknowledge the wizard who had beside him. "Voices again?" He said casually, as if were nothing. The necromancer was quite fun to tortured, but he was needed by the lord. "Who is it this time?" The dark lord said mockingly.
~~~

Dahlia went to girl vampire, crouching down so the vamp wouldn't have to stand up. "Are you okay, we don't want anyone passing out here." She motioned Darius to help her as she knew nothing on vampires.

"Yeah. I'm fine!" Emma sighed, lying. She was anywhere from fine. She attempted to stand up, wobbling. "I just need to calm down." Her head was spinning. She started to cough and fell back to the floor.

"Last time that I checked that was far from fine, you stay here I'll go get my broom. I'm sure your in no shape for flying on your own." Dahlia said grabbing her broom from the others. She help the vamp on, and then she got on herself.

"Darius, are you coming, I need your help. You know I nothing about your kind, come on." The witch more commanded then asked and she went she through one of the walls, flying at a steady pace to her cottage which had all her potions and spell books.

"Ugh, now, now, don't go around just trying to make me feel bad." Darius rolled his eyes and passed Emma the bottle she had gave him, now half-empty.
"Don't put yourself in a position where others owe you one, it just annoys everyone else." Darius informed the girl, despite the fact that he was always one to remind others when they had a debt to pay to him.
"My advice to her would simply be to watch out for HERSELF before she collapses on the floor again...unless she wants to do me a favor, then she can go fainting anywhere for all I care."
"Anyway," the vampire turned to Dahlia, "What time is it? Is it dark yet? You know the sunlight weakens vampires, right?"

"You seem to have forgotten that I'm witch! I'm offended." Dahlia said glaring at the informative vampire. "Yes I know that sunlight weakens vampires, I'm not stupid. The blanket of darkness spell. I've learned from an old friend." The witch said smiling.

Emma sighed. God he was so annoying.. but she couldn't get over the fact that he was so good looking. "Nah its fine. Take it." Emma sighed. She jumped off the broomstick also. "I'm going hunting. Please don't bother me for a while." Her eyes were red and she was on pure vampire blood thirsty mode. She flew out the door looking for prey.

Darius shrugged and quickly downed the rest of the contents of the bottle.
He turned to Dahlia, impatient. "Okay then, cast it." He more-or-less commanded Dahlia. He also awkwardly got onto the broom, not used to riding one. Vampirism, like some other dieases, effected different people differently.
While some, like Emma, could fly, others got other useful abilities, but there actually wasn't that big a range on what you could get. They all usually involved being able to catch prey easier, like being able to run fast or charm humans into following you.
Darius was more of the charming variety, but he could also run A BIT faster than the average human, which was something he was sure all vampires could accomplish.

The witch said something in Latin all of the sudden they were cover in a blanket of darkness. "There happy? Now hold on and try not to fall off, okay Darius." She said holding on the broom leaning forward, making the broom move forward at an impressive pace.

Emma zoned in on her target. He was tall, well built. Probably very healthy. She sauntered out casually before dragging him into a corner and draining him. Ug. It was Ab-, her least favorite kind. After she filled up and felt better she flew back. She found Darius and Dahlia flying out. "Hey. I'm better." She laughed awkwardly.

Cassandra spotted a few people riding on a broomstick, then they were suddenly covered in a cloud of black. The sun blinded her, and she backed away back into the shadows. At least she knew a little bit of where they were. She quickly returned back, and bowed to the Dark Lord. "My lord, I have found where they are at the moment, but I could not track them, the sun weakens me." She said, avoiding his gaze. Would he be angry? She felt power draining from her, and she collapsed on the ground in a pale heap, her breaths coming hard. "My lord, I must feed on blood. Please...excuse me for a moment." Cassandra gasped out, attempting to get up and crawl away to feed. The sun had weakened her, and now she needed blood, or she might pass out.

"Cassandra, wait for a moment, drink this in the meanwhile." He snapped his fingers and a servant gave the vampire a bottle of red liquid. "Were they traveling? If so what on? If they have witches we might be in a bit of trouble." The Dark Lord already knew they had vampires and other sorts of creatures, but he wanted to know if they had witches. There was one witch he truly feared.

Cassandra looked at the servant gratefully, and chugged down the thick, red liquid. "I believe they were going somewhere, on a broomstick. And I think there were two vampires with a witch, because they cast a black shadow, probably because of the sun. " She replied, and continued drinking the liquid, feeling her energy return to her.

"Did you catch a glimpse of what the witch looked liked?" The dark lord said masking the worry in his voice with harshness. He could not show fear, for he could be easily taken down that way. "I must no this!" The lord yelled at her.

Cassandra trembled, and whimpered. "She had blonde hair with purple tips, and blue eyes. That's all I know, my lord." She replied, her voice shaking. Even if she did sort of have a crush on the lord, she didn't like him when he was so angry. "She was pretty tall, too." Cassandra added.

The lord curse under his breath and stood up. He walked over to the entrance of the room and ran his fingers through his hair. "Come with me Cassandra I might need for something." He walked out of the room and kept walking.

"So, human? Hey, Dahlia, if Emma can hit up the surrounding villages, I break out of here too?" Darius smirked, laughing.
"Emma, there's quite a few humans working at the base...I'm sure they'll make pretty tasty snacks if you would like to try them..." He laughed yet again, shifting his weight as to not fall off the broom.
He wondered if the darkness would follow him once he dismounted the broom and broke away from the group...he sure hoped so, sticking to the witch's side all day would be rather annoying...
'Did spells worked on people separately, or only the caster...dang it!' Darius thought to himself sourly upon realizing he actually new very little about witch's spells. He made a mental note to ask Dehlia to teach him more about spells later...he knew some, but not enough to be able to confidently fight a witch.
That could easily prove troublesome...

Emma sighed. "No. I will not be feasting on humans anytime soon." She rolled her eyes. "This was a take the first chance you get." She wiped the blood dripping off her fang and smiled. "Have fun hunting!" She laughed playfully.

"With the caster, as in you are stuck with me if you want to go outside in the light." Dahlia said with a smirk, "Oh, and if you even think about draining a human I will kill you." The witch then took off at what seemed lightning pace. She flew out into the daylight, the darkness blanket still covering them.
