Anyway.
Illume, Illumi plural, often called Illy for short, are vicious little furballs with teeth like razor blades and eyes like furnaces and claws like kitchen knives.
Haha. Kidding.
Illys are a sort of rodent with a foxlike build, with fur that is so responsive that when threatened they can curl up and spike their fur to replicate a hedgehog so effectively that they were not discovered until the forest was running so thick with them you couldn't take five steps without tripping over one.
Another unusual aspect about Illumi is their eyes. Illy eyes are so remarkably similar to humans that at first they were thought to be humans reincarnated, or gods. Their eye shades vary from deep purple to emerald green, bright yellow to sky blue.

I also wanted to give them fluro fur and wings, but I realized the first wouldn't work with the hedgehog thing, and wings were just dumb, so flying squirrel gliding instead xD
