Did anyone hear about the "meteor" that hit Russia?

Now people are saying that the world is going to go under mass destruction this year. -_-

I hate people who predict doomsdays.

But I am afraid of another meteor. 😸

Any comments?

I heard about that too! Don't be afraid though, the meteor was shot back into space and won't be coming back around for I think 4.8 million years or something like that. ^^

Don't worry about being afraid of meteors
There are very slim chances of one hitting the ground!
People always say that the world is going to be destroyed every year so it's nothing new there -_-

Er...nope, never heard of it.

Edit:
Meteors almost never hit the earth. We were learning about it in Science. When a meteor gets into the earth's atmosphere, there is so much friction that the meteor burns up. That's why we see 'shooting stars'. 😸 It is very unlikely for a meteorite in the actual ground.

Yeah, I heard.
It's meteoroid's family coming to town 8D

Eh. We should be a bit afraid, but there are massive amounts of people who love studying the sky & are keeping watch, so we'll have plenty of time to prepare if any more come flying at Earth.
I think we should be more afraid of earthquakes or landslides. Much less predictable :c

And peeps are always having fun making up those kinds of stories... :I

@hedwig68

there were two meteors; the one in Russia and the one I think you are talking about which whizzed by which was too far to hit the Earth anyway

@jemmie
it's all over news websites. First there were only around 250 injured but now there is close to a thousand with most of the injuries being from broken glass

Wow...I don't really listen to the news. I had to go to cello probably, at like, the time of the news on. @.@

Well, that's what I remember reading...
Something like, you can predict where they'll happen and the chances of one occurring in that area but not the exact time when it will occur unlike other natural disasters.
Which is great since I live and attend class in a landslide zone.... e u e
Ahahaha... great

@icymuffin

That's scary 0.0

I remember my first time experiencing an earthquake. I was so scared .. I felt really dizzy and stuff. But thank god it didn't do that much damage!

The country where I live barely have earthquakes over 1 on the Richter Scale. The first earthquake I remember was a magnitude 3.6 over 6 years ago. I thought it was a lower altitude plane since I live near an airport

The second on was about 2 years ago.I didn't feel it but I heard it. Again I thought it was a plane

The major one that happened where I live was a 4.6 about a month after the major one in New Zealand (huge news even though I'm not in New Zealand).

It's funny how I remember all of these XD
Probably since earthquakes of over 3 magnitude are so rare where I live
