Why exactly do we have EC?

I've glanced over the site a few times, but I really couldn't find a reason why we use EC/Money on here.

Help please?

To buy travels, put creatures in Tim's, and to be able to abandon creatures, one thing you should never do.

Currently, EC can be used to place creatures under the care of Tim or purchase Travels. You may also purchase Callas from the SARC if you wish to do so.

In the (hopefully) near future, we're gonna be incorporating a full-fledged item system on Egg Cave. Much more shops will become available and there will be many, many items to purchase and use.
