Pitter Patter

Pitter, Patter
Did you hear that?
It reminds me of that night, that one night, when it all fell apart
I had stormed off into the never-ending rain, my thoughts clouded by my sorrows
He followed me, silently
Like a predator going in for the kill
But it was too late to realize that I was not alone,
Too late to save my own life
The only sound heard that one night was a silent scream, barely silent at all...
He had no mercy,
Stabbed my heart and cut it to pieces,
Left my body to rot in my muddy grave...
Acted as if I never existed
But I'm still here...
My accusing screams, my scattered heart, my silent weeping...
Pitter, Patter
Hear that?
It's not the rain...
