Random Thoughts on the Value of Certain Pets

I've recently come back from a long hiatus which means I am very out of the loop in terms of trading and I do not know half the pets that appear in peoples' coves anymore. In my defense there are now over 200 of them and that's insane.

I have a number of rare pets, more noticeably my onny and tines. I have been told that an onny goes for 20,000CC and a first stage tine is 8,000 plus like 2,000 because the names are awesome.

That's 300 USD for a square of pixels.

Besides the obvious ludicrousness of that sum and disregarding how much rent that could cover, I have also been informed almost no one is willing to pay that must for one anyway. Then it's simple economics.

People have onnies.
These onnies have very high potential value.
Nobody wants to pay their theoretical worth.

Thus they have no value, or their value is significantly less than thought.

If no one is willing to pay 200 USD for my pet, and I don't want to sell it for less, the market for onnies is stuck, isn't it?

Names don't go for that much unless someone has sentimental value to them and they are willing to pay that much. I've never seen names go for that much :I But I guess they could *shrugs* I believe last stage goes for 8oooCC not 1st. 1st stage Tines go for a lot more xD

Reason being that they are worth so much cause people are attached and wouldn't sell theirs for less.

Some people do offer that much on them though 😸 Just have to find someone desperate enough to spend that much on something that doesn't have that great of artwork and that some commons have better art work than it. 😸 (sorry. I'm really judgmental on art 😸 Just grew up around art and a lot of criticism on it 😸 I criticize my art like that too so no offense to people that like how they look or to the people that made them 😸)

Yeah, a lot of changes in the creatures have occurred ever since you went. The value of Nyms and Tines went high. The Macbot, Onny and Doovoo were considered as the best of all creatures, and were given high worths.

The names dont go for 2000CC. They might go from 100 - 500CC depending upon the nature of the name and sentimental value to the buyer. Your first stage Tine is worth around 22,000CC, and your second stage Tine is worth around 15,000CC. The Onny is 20k alright ^^ Last Stage Tines go for 8000 though ^^

Yeah, no one is willing to pay that. Everyone is on the run for profit and may only offer 15,000CC for it to get a profit out of it, by retrading it to someone else in return. Most people only do that.

The market for Onnies arent stuck though. There are some people who has high amount of CC in their hands, they might pay the right price. Else, the price can be covered up in different creatures. There are many other creatures ranging from 500 - 4000CC which can be added in the offer, along with pure CC included. You can get a couple of creatures, and some pure CC in the offers.

I can offer pure CC for your Tine(s) or Onny, but I was on a spending spree the week before and spent a lot on creatures for my cove. If interested, you could ask for anything from here in place of some CC and I'll add up to the value of the creature.

I might be getting some CC on the 31st, so we might work out a trade till the 5th or 10th of April. ^^ But you should always research about the creatures, as some people might cheat others on worths
