Esytha used her sword and ax to try and climb up to David. Every now and then she'd lose her grip and almost fall, but got back up. She was almost at the top, when the monster turned around. It couldn't see what was in his back. Esytha swung from side to side and struggled to get her grip again, but fell. She got a bit damaged, but was ok. "DAVID! TRY TO ATTACK THE MONSTER'S HEAD!!!!" She screamed. The monster was in her sights. It appeared to be temporarily blind, and the potion could wear off any minute now. Eyes as wide as saucers, she ran for it in an only hope.

Storm watched David, eyes widening. The poor kid was on top of the creature's head. Esytha climbed onto it's back--the fool was trying to be brave and help. "Stay put! I'll... Lead it to the ocean!" She shouted, and yelled at the monster to get it's attention. "MMM! Yummy iron armor!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

That certainly got the creature's attention.

It chased after her, its feet causing minor earthquakes. "Hang on!" She called back to David and Esytha. Though the ocean was far from spawn, Storm knew they'd make it. Or maybe she was just hoping. Killing a couple of her teammates was surely a bad way to start off a journey. Oh well.

The ocean began coming it to view shortly.

Esytha saw it run towards her other teammate. That's a relief. Wait, that wasn't good. At least she was safe. Seeing this was her chance, she leaped into the air. She managed to get a grip with her sword on the monster's back once more. Grunting, she used her ax to pull herself up. She repeated this process like she was doing before... Almost at the top now. She climbed onto the head in triumph.

David hung on with all his might. "How is the ocean going to help?" he yelled. He was still hacking the beast with his battle-ax, and he was pretty sure that the creature was half dead by now. "Does anyone have any TNT? That'll lower it's health!" He was jerked off, and fell to one and a half hearts. He decided to help Storm draw the creatures attention. He placed a trail of blocks that the creature could follow, and made sure to repeatedly slash at the monster.

"So you'd have somewhere to jump and not die!" Storm called back, diving yet again at the beast to slash with her sword. She sincerly hoped it'd die soon, but then she was picked up by the monster. Storm shouted in surpirse, hacking at the arm as it gripped her, inflicting some damage with its crunching grip.

Lydia quickly ran after the group and the monster. Once she was close enough, she began to dart in, slash at the monster, and run out. It didn't seem to help a lot. After fumbling with the potions on her belt for a moment, she pulled out a potion of poison. With a glance at Storm in the monsters grip and Esytha on its head, she hesitated. 'Will they be hurt if I throw this?' Lydia thought. She shoved the potion back in her belt and stepped back to avoid being crushed.

Esytha raised her sword up high, and plunged it deep into the monster's head. She gripped her sword tightly as it roared in pain. It flung her off his head, and she landed on the ground with a thud. She was almost dead, but ate some porkchops. That did a good deal of damage. Just a few more blows...

Storm groaned in pain, but when the monster roared, it dropped her. She hit the ground hard, and winced as she stood, her health down to one heart. Quickly eating a steak, Storm fell back and pulled out her bow to shoot at the beast from a distance.

David watched the creature roar in pain. "We probably just need a few more direct hits! Keep it going people!" David was hacking apart the creatures leg, because that was all he could reach. He began thinking about two things. One, what drops would the mister give? They had better be worth all this hassle... And two, which was how many of these would they have to fight on their journey? Did they have a weakness? He thought of something. "Try poison! Can anyone poison it? That might be it's weakness!"

"I'd toss a potion, but I've never been able to make one properly!" Storm said, wincing in pain. Her health was healing, but Storm wasn't getting close again. That thing caused lots of damage and pain. She kept shooting arrows; continuously missing.

Esytha waited for the right moment. She raised her sword into the sky, and charged. When the monster was weakened, and lowered its arm, she slashed it with her sword very sharply. It clearly had low health. The sun started to rise, and soon all the monsters would go away. "Maybe it's weak to the sun!" She yelled. With another slash, the monster roared again.

Is it all right if we wrap up this fight? It has gone on for a looooong time xD

David looked at the rising sun. Soon, all the other mobs would burn to death. This monster, however, was immune to fire damage. Surely though, it must almost be dead. It was roaring in pain every time we hit it. He glanced at his hearts. Only four. His hunger wasn't doing so well either. He ate a few pork chops, and threw his knife at the creature. He then ran into the fight with his battle ax again, because he only had a few arrows. "Make more arrows" He made a mental note of that.

Yeah

Esytha went up to the monster. She drew her sword back out, and charged. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!' She yelled. With a jump, she delivered a strong blow to the monster. It fell to the ground. She ran out of the way before she got hit by the falling monster, and confirmed that it would be dead in one final hit.

David saw the monster fall. "Just a few more hits, guys!" He was slashing at it with all his might, doing at least 5 hearts of damage each blow. The monster was too weak to even attack now, and it would soon evaporate into xp and monster drops. The sun was fully up now, and it was neatly morning. They should start off as soon as the beast was dead.

Since the monster was doing no more damage, Storm bolted from the shadows with her trusty sword, leaping into the air and stabbing her sword into the mob's chest. It gave an inhuman shriek that made Storm think her eardrums were bleeding, before evaporating. "Finally." Storm huffed.

David saw the mob fall to the ground, dead. "Yea!! We did it guys. Now let's see what drops this mob has for us." He sheathed his blade and went to the place where the mob died. The ground was littered with xp balls. "Everyone, take as much xp as you want. I want to see what the drops are." He left them and scoured the ground for any dropped items. "Here we are. Wow! guys, check this out!" There was iron ore by the dozens, and at least 10 stacks of cobblestone sitting around. But that wasn't what he was looking at. What he was looking at was a floating chunk of rock, but it was cracked and glowed purple. He picked it up. His inventory said it was an "Evil Crystal."

Storm took a couple XP points, deciding to let the others take as much as they pleased. She did, however, take the iron ore. Iron was her favorite crafting material. She looked over at David, who seemed a bit awed. "What is it?"

David showed her the Crystal. "I wonder what it is. It must be used for something, but- I don't know what. Have you ever seen one before?" David watched it glow. It was almost... hypnotizing. If this was able to be crafted into a weapon, it would be the strongest weapon in all of minecraft. What if it was used like an eye of ender to find the portal...

"No... And Evil Crystal? What in the name of Notch is that?" Storm said, unable to take her eyes of the pulsating object. She tore her gaze away. "I don't like that thing, David. Makes me wanna stare at it all day. Put it away." She shook her head a bit, clearing it. "At least it's daylight..."

X8.8 wandered on, looking for any signs of life. Suddenly he bumped into something that whimpered a bit. "A wolf..." he said, studying how blocky it was. The wolf didn't leave, it lingered, staring intently at the bones in X8.8's hand. "Oh, you want these?" he asked, placing a bone on the ground in front of it. The wolf gobbled up the bone as quick as X8.8 had placed it. He couldn't resist giving it another, it was a very cute wolf. "One more," he said, giving it his last bone, "I'm all out now."

The wolf burst with happiness at the third bone. "Well, I've got to continue scoping out the area, buddy." X8.8 decided, leaving the wolf sitting behind him. The wolf stayed for a bit until it was out of sight, then suddenly it came running up behind him. "You're not going to stay here are you?" X8.8 said, a bit amused. "Very well, Wolf, I suppose I can't object to a little bit of help defeating monsters."

Esytha gathered up many XP points, while leaving some for the others. She also gathered up lots of iron ore, and a stack of cobble. She used the cobble to make a furnace, and placed coal inside. Then she placed in the iron ore for smelting.

Esytha only had 4 iron ingots, due to Storm hoarding almost all of it. She mined her furnace and carried the coal, ingots, and furnace with her. She was more of a traveler than someone who stayed in one place.

Storm, have planned ahead, pulled out her furnace and crafting table, putting about 20 iron ore into the furnace. She grinned evilly, although she felt a bit bad about hoarding the ore. Tough she did prefer to stay at her home, Storm often went on mining expeditions that took weeks.

David finally headed to spawn, the place they wanted to go in the first place. "Let's discuss how we're going to deal with it if one of those," He pointed at the spot where the creature had died. "Attacks us again. I know we all want to be recklessly brave, but trust me that's not going to work. Admit it, we were kinda out-matched. We need some plan, some strategy that would ensure success in any circumstance. This is another thought that has been bugging me. Is that the toughest there is? There is a whole bunch of new mobs, what if that beast is meant to be a warm-up? What worse things could there be? Plenty. Let's get back to spawn. No mobs can bother us there"." He left the others, and headed towards a secret place where he knew they wouldn't be overheard.

"Excuse me? Stupidly brave? Out-matched!" Storm sprinted after David, remembering to collect her furnace, ore, and ingot. "We are none of those things! Besides, we can't waste our time planning! We need to figure out what those crystals do, how to get to the Reality!" Storm was more of the "fight now--plan later" kind of player, and rather than making preparations for battles, simply dove in. Saved time, anyways,

@ems xD Wow. just wow. xD

David looked at her. "Go ahead, be my guest. Run along and meet that thing's dad, that's probably twice as strong. I won't give you your stuff back when you're crushed. I've been playing with aggressive mob mods since I started this game. Before I did servers, before any of you even started playing, I was fighting mobs. When you've been playing this long, trying mob mods out... you know when to stop rushing in. You don't know what it's like... To die again and again and again and again and have no one to talk to, no one who cares in the entire infinite single-player world. To have to just either cry into your pillow or admit that you are outmatched. It is a tough choice. For anyone. Even me. It hardens your soul. Most people, I've discovered, when met with that choice, will just say to themselves, 'I can do it, I can do it, I can do it,' And run into a battle and just die again."
