I personally don't see the resemblance, but we've also got more than one wolf/dog creature, cat creatures, etc.

It's very unique, I like it! It may just be me, but it doesn't look as if it grows from first to second stage, though.

Hmm, I don't really like it. The colors clash, and it seems like there's too many "stories" behind the coloring, like the rainbow horn producing a lighter aurora, but the dark coloring for the fur? skin? clashes against the gentleness. The green fur? lining its hooves? are also off-themed.

No offense intended, I'm just stating what I see.

I DO like the description though, and it's a great concept. The art needs a little pazzaz though.
