Rosaline sat around the store for a while, then left to go on a walk in the woods. She loved the woods. Well, she should because she made her house there, a little treehouse in a birch tree. And the critters kept her company.

"I wonder.." Mariel began, than dismissed the thought. What was she going to say, anyways? Mass amnesia? The person in front of her in line finished paying, and Mariel stepped up to let the cashier scan her items. Sighing, Mariel fished her pockets for change to pay for the candies, and came up a dollar short. She blanched. She was sure she had taken enough.. but the memory didn't come back to her. What WAS she doing reading in the park in the first place? The cashier cleared his throat. "You gonna pay for that?"

"I got it, one moment!" Jason, seeing Mariel having problems with the cashier searched through each of his pockets until he found his wallet and grabbed a dollar to pass over to Mariel quickly, then grabbed himself a few dollars to pay for his with.

"Oh my gosh," Mariel breathed, "thank you." Mortified at her lack of money, she paid the cashier and waited with her reciept and bag of candy as Jason paid.

"Its fine." Jason replied, smiling kindly. He went ahead to open his bag of candy and eat one, his face changing drastically as the sour taste filled his mouth. "Ahhh! Get it out get it out get it out!" He yelled as he ran out of the store searching for a trashcan.

Mariel laughed, opening her bag, and popping an Icebreaker in her mouth. She winced at the sour taste, but rolling it on her tounge, she found the taste quite satisfying. Laughing, she followed Jason, who was out looking for a place to spit out his Lemonhead. "Is it good?" she asked meekly, a barely concealed giggle coming out of her mouth as well.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Ky woke up in a very odd place. "What...?" He looked around the room, which seemed remotely familiar.... He hit the snooze button and rolled on out of bed. "Oh yeah... Amnesia." He sighed, remembering what the doctors had told him. He was in his apartment and... He was running late for something. Ky's brow creased. "Oh well..." He looked at the clothes in his closet, slipping out of his pajamas and putting on a plain light blue tee and a pair of tan cargo shorts. Sliding into a random pair of white tennis shoes, Ky left the apartment complex and decided to explore the town a bit.

Jason finally found a trashcan and spit the sour candy out. "Oh yah, it's wonderful. Can't get enough of it." He said while rubbing his tong against his jacket, trying to get rid of the taste of the sour candy.

Ky saw a boy and a girl together across the street, curiously watching the girl hand a boy a bar of sorts. "I... Live here?" Ky looked around. It was a pretty dumpy city to him. "Was it cheap?" Ky wished he could remember. Frowning, he sat on a park bench and watched people walk by.

Feeling someone's gaze upon her, Mariel turned to see a boy. Did she know him? She really wasn't sure about anything anymore. "Hello!" She called, "Would you like an Icebreaker?"

"Really? Well thank you!" Jason said, relieved that he didn't need to rub his tong against his jacket anymore and went to nibbling on the Snickers bar.
He then fallowed Mariel's gaze and saw another boy. He smiled and waved to him, "sup."

Mariel thought about it, then shook her head, answering the boy's question. "No..." she said tentatively, "maybe.. I don't know!" She ended, on the brink of quiet hysteria. "Why can't I remember ANYTHING?"

While those two were talking, Jason quickly looked through his personal positions, he knew that he had something to do with it and didn't need others to know that. He took out the note he had woken up with.
'You probably don't remember me anymore, but I want you to know that it didn't have to end this way.'
He had been extremely confused by the note, but had kept it. 'Maybe it's someone in my family, or a friend?' He still hadn't figured it out.

Mariel looked sideways at Jason, noting his strange behavior, but did not say anything. It was not polite to pry. "Are you alright?" was all she asked.

Feeling trapped trying to entertain conversation between the two boys, she smiled and said, "Do any of you two want an Icebreaker?" Which was ironic, as she was indeed trying to break the ice.

Mariel handed Ky an Icebreaker. "I'm Mariel," she said with a smile. "Be warned, I never really remember these candies before, and they're a bit sour." She laughed. "Hopefully you don't end up like Jason here," she gestured to the boy beside her, "who ate another sour candy and ended up wiping his tongue on his jacket."

Ky laughed quietly. "I think I like sour stuff... Not so sure. Thanks for the warning, Mariel." He popped the icebreaker into his mouth, his mouth puckering. "Very sour." He chuckled. "Nice meeting you both."

"Nah, I'm good! Still got myself a snickers!" And he went back to nibbling on the candy. He looked at the boy, deciding he seemed friendly.
Jason went over and sat next to him, wrapping his arm casually around his shoulders. "Aren't we just the cutest couple?" He said with the most serious face he could muster.
