Question...What are Clicks exactly??

What are they? I sound dumb..I know =/ Is it just someone viewing the egg?? but that would be viewing it? like...if you were going to feed em, would that be viewing the egg? or clicking it?? I'm so confused on the viewing and clicking thing.. help?
