So, I've been trying to add stuff to my lists, but when I click the edit list button it brings me to that popup (as usual) but then it says "loading componants." So then I wait for it to finish loading, but it just loads forever! ☹️ This has happened many times. I've tried clicking the "X" and tried to open it again, restart my computer, nut it doesn't work. Help? ☹️

@5eggs79 Have you got Javascript turned off or pop-ups blocked? And how long is "forever", exactly? 😋 You may just need to be a little more patient.

What browser are you using and what version?

@karamel Testing it right now to see how long it will take... And I'm using Internet Explorer 9.

@5eggs79 IIRC, Internet Explorer tends to block a lot of pop-ups. Try looking here?: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ieitprocurrentver/thread/f44cf271-bd4b-4343-8aaa-90c13234067a

(Hope that doesn't break the page, I'll shorten it if it does.)

Since when did you start experiencing this? Was it just today? ._.

@karamel I tried the link, it still doesn't work. I've noticed it about a week ago, but I ignored it back then, hoping for it to fix itself. And I don't think it's a pop-up issue... I can approach eggs from the cave just fine.

IE9 sucks, as all IEs do. Chrome and Firefox are usually the ones that work the best.

@5eggs79
I agree with @newlife, IE tends to work slower so that could be one of the problems. But it may be your internet, is it being really slow or fast?

And how long is the longest you've waited for it to finish? If it's over an hour and it still hasn't finished then you may not be able to edit your lists until its fixed.

I'd recommend getting a new web browser such as Google Chrome, which I use and is much faster than Internet Explorer for me.

@5eggs79

If you're using IE, I would recommend switching to a browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. These browsers will render the Cove Lists edit feature correctly.

I am curious about your problem though and I am working on a fix. Could you copy and paste your output from whatismybrowser.com here on this topic. This contains some valuable browser diagnostics that will help me diagnose your problem.

Thanks much.

@5eggs79

I've just tested the Cove Lists feature on IE10 on Windows 7 and it worked for me, so I am very stumped.

So the "Loading Components" thing just displays endlessly and never disappears?

@Ian Yeah, it doesn't go away.
Also I've found another problem of how I can't change my profile headshot. There is a pop-up that says "Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

And then if you keep trying it brings you to a page that says: "
We were unable to return you to eggcave.com.

Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem."

I have noticed this problem around the same time as the list thing, so I was thinking it might be related somehow.

Interesting. Have you tried clearing your cookies and temporary internet files? Let me know.

@5eggs79

I am unsure of why this isn't working for you, particularly because I've tested Cove Lists Manager on an identical set up.

For now, I recommend using an alternative, secure browser like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Any one of these browsers will happily render these pages correctly.

I am sorry that there's not more I can do for you.
